This is an amazing little gem. It’s the best inexpensive lunch you’ll have without feeling like you wasted your taste buds and money. I ordered the Mediterranean salad with chicken. This is the best damn salad I’ve ever eaten. I don’t think I’ve had a more hearty, flavorful, filling salad. The portions are amazing for the price, too. I was stuffed from a damn salad. The salad plus chicken plus a small coffee was $ 13. This place made my stomach and wallet very happy. I’d go out of my way to eat here. It’s a small place btw.

Meet up with some friends here. Great prices and flavor. Perfect amount of spicy. Def would recommend it and would go here again myself.

Good price, especially when you get the combo(any meal + a smoothie for $ 3.5). It’s a fantastic deal for a smoothie in Manhattan compared to places like liquiteria. They don’t charge extra for soy milk. The black bean soup was a bit spicy for me though.

I came here after a failed attempt to attend a Manhattan Young Democrats Happy Hour event. Maybe it was my mood, or maybe it was the two Average White Girls having an Average White Girl conversation(«OMG they’re having a 90s PARTY!»…“like I know he’s a player, but he’s like so fun”…“and all of a sudden like everyone was so drunk like what?”…“omg that’s so funny(no laughter commences)”, but my sandwich was as banal as the conversation I had to endure. Seriously, I’m pretty sure if I somehow make it to Purgatory it will be me eating a Mediterranean Turkey sandwich from Bite while listening to an endless, trite and utterly intellect-reducing conversation between two upper-middle class white girls. In an area as culinarily diverse as East Village, I couldn’t come here again without feeling guilty about the opportunity cost I had forgone.

I’ve been enjoying going here lately to get a half panini and half salad. Normally I would give it 4 stars. However, I took my mom who was visiting last weekend. We both ordered combos(her the half chicken panini, half tomato soup — myself the half turkey panini and half goat cheese salad). After like 10 – 15 min, my food came out. But not my moms. After like 5 more min, I went up and asked about her food, to which the man said«I’ll check on it» he checked, but didn’t come to update us. no explanation given. 10 more minutes passed and then her’s came out. A weak apology for the wait. They obviously forgot to make what she ordered… And then to top that off, her sandwich was supposed to have sundried tomatoes which was a big reason why she ordered it, and they were missing!!! Ugh!!! We didn’t go up to them because already our time was wasted… It’s the worst when things like this happen when you bring a visitor!!! Ugh! I was so annoyed!

I’m not vegan, but I LOVE the middle eastern vegan sandwich. It’s the only sandwich I’ve ever gotten there and I can’t bring myself to try anything else — it’s the perfect blend of grilled vegetables, hummus, and olive oil. I will say that they do put a ton of olive oil on there, so things may get very messy while eating. I’ve also had the tomato soup, which isn’t bad either. I think that for a shop of this size(it seats about a little over 10 people comfortably), the prices are fair and the quality of food is great and consistent. I come here pretty frequently for lunch and my order always tastes delicious. Sometimes, you may have to wait a while for the food to be ready(especially during prime lunch time), but that just means that what you’re eating is made fresh and hasn’t been sitting there all day. Very much worth the wait.

Wonderful solid home cooked food. Hearty vegan soups full of flavor and veg plus pulses like I’d make if I had time. Love the no nonsense«feed me and get me moving along». The staff is as nice as can be!

Great spot for quick and delicious lunch. I did the half panini with soup deal and had the turkey pesto with tomato soup. I was looking for a lighter lunch in the city and this hit the spot. The cheese was melting off the sandwich and the bread was nice and crisp. It was the great stop on a cold NYC day and I loved the art and atmosphere of the small space. I was just visiting NYC but I could tell that I was surrounded by locals which I liked. I was very happy with my turkey pesto and my boyfriend loved his mozzarella prosciutto panini.

I ordered sandwiches and salad from this location of Bite for a company meeting. Everything was superb. The sandwiches were huge, and the selection was much more creative than the usual sandwich shop. The surprise hit was the feta salad, which was absolutely delicious. The store was very easy to work with and the food was delivered right on time. They even had labels with ingredients for all the sandwiches. I highly recommend Bite. I know people from my office are now ordering individual lunches from them, because the food was so good. Very reasonable prices as well.

It was quite a ravenous day and I was late for the MOMA, but I just couldn’t settle for a food cart to appease by tastebuds. I also felt the need for real nutrients. Enter Bite. I opted for the Mediterranean chicken salad. Wow, easily one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Very unique flavors– spinach with baked eggplant and bomb af hummus. The piping hot pita on the side was a nice bonus. Best part about the pita was that it was homemade– not that bleached flour stuff most restaurants give ya. The generous portions are also worth getting used to. Overall, I would recommend this place for a light Bite as the name suggests. Adiós!!!

It’s a really cute cozy tiny warm spot. It feels super convenient. They got a large menu of various bites: soups, salads, sandwiches. We popped in there before the Big Grams performance in Irving plaza. I got shakshooka with two organic poached eggs, a little side cucumber salad and two pieces of toaster gluten free bread. My companion got a panini and a spicy bean soup. He loved his food. We also split a banana berry smoothie which was smooth, vibrant and not so sweet, just perfect. Would go there again!

Eat24 pickup was not even on their radar when I arrived AFTER the pickup window, but the Middle Eastern Vegan Sandwich $ 7.00 ended up pretty tasty. Choice of Bread: Ciabatta Choice of Dressing: Sun-Dried Tomato and Basil Mayo Add Soda: No Thanks How Spicy?: Hot Iced Chocolate(aka YooHoo with ice) $ 3.00, a damn shame given how chocolatey the place smelled. Skateboard art on the walls with prices. WiFi = biteme network with p/w bitemenow123 $

Large portions and fresh ingredients. I got the lentil soup which was good but could use some hot sauce, and their goat cheese salad. The green apple/goat/balsamic combo was great. It’s a small quaint joint on 14th with a vey local feel. The night I was there they opened up the garage door of their entrance and a jazz trio was playing. The band was talented provided a great atmosphere.

The food is just banging. And although this sounds random, come here for the feta salad. It’s the only spot in this area that has the Greek olives and incredibly fresh feta. I’ve been looking for a good Greek salad joint but this is beyond delcious. The hummus platter is to drool over and although there is a wait(you’re better off calling ahead) it is 100% worth it. Reasonable prices, delcious food, A-rating. What can I say? Come here, check it out.

Awesome, awesome spot for Mediterranean-inspired sammies and salads. The foods are tasty and reaaal cheap by Manhattan standards. I got the Mediterranean Salad and it was delicious– brimming with hummus, greens, chickpeas, grilled eggplant, grilled chicken, plus God knows what else– and rather massive. They also had virgin mojitos that my friend and I tried that were damn tasty and refreshing.(Friend got a very delicious-looking Eggplant panini that she enjoyed.) The seating area is a bit small, though the restaurant is within walking distance of parks where you could take your food to go and eat with a view. I think my total bill was $ 15 and the cost was well worth it. The staff were also quite friendly. I would definitely return! Plus, it’s steps from the L train and really close to all of that Union Square craziness the kids are talking about.

My favorite college go-to for a fresh yet homey meal. Order: Half sandwich/half salad: Spicy Mediterranean tuna panini and upgrade side salad to goat cheese salad. Trust me, and you’re welcome. (The tuna melds with the melted cheese and peppers give a nice kick. Tuna isn’t drowned in mayo– i think they use more of an olive oil base but I’m not sure… My memory fails me) Goat cheese salad: It’s a big bowl filled to the rim with a big fat dollop of fresh goat cheese, golden raisins and Granny Smith apples(pretty visually, too!). It’s crunchy, creamy, slightly sweet — the perfect refreshing combo for a nice summer day. Mediterranean salad: My Faaaaaavorite! Roasted eggplant on top of a bed of mixed greens, nestled in a generous portion of hearty and savory hummus. The hummus mixes in with the greens and slivered almonds to create the party in your mouth it deserves. Honorable mentions: Spicy lentil soup Any hummus plate(appetizer section) Middle eastern egg sandwich(breakfast) Smoked turkey and pesto panini Middle eastern sandwich(Sabih)** Tip: call ahead and place your order so you don’t have to wait in the small store

I tried the Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken. It was good and interesting, but by far the most expensive salad I have ever purchased at a whooping $ 11. The salad was good, but not amazing. I don’t think it’s something I would ever crave. I was very disappointed with the pita bread, it was slightly warm, but too thick and doughy and not crispy at all. The chocolate chip cookie I had here was definitely the highlight of my meal. I would definitely come back for the cookie, and maybe to try a sandwich, but I wouldn’t recommend the salad.

Healthy and delicious come to mind when I think of Bite. I have had a couple of their salads and they are aweome. My fav is the tuna salad with a side of the whole wheat bread. It’s a teeny tiny place(my fav kinds) with about 5 tables but the food is just as good to go. I want to try everything on the menu! It’s not necessarily a cheap place to eat but you get what you pay for here. Ingredients are quality and fresh. I always feel good after eating here. Yum.

Absolutely love this place! It is small, but packed with a great menu! I always come here for their salami paninis! They’re soooooo good! They have a big menu, so it isnbest to look at it online before going. You’ll be standing there for a while to figure out what you want. The salami panini come with fresh mozzarella, roasted pepper tapenade, sundried tomato and basil mayo. I can still taste it. I tried their iced chai. That, too, is pretty awesome. You can dine in, and they’ll serve you right there. Again, the place is small, but it doesn’t get too crowded. Great little place if you’re around Union Square.

First look it’s small and unassuming. Go in, it’s very chill in there. I believe the owner is often on hand and always looking to make sure the patrons are happy, which shows he cares, that’s something I can appreciate. The food is very tasty, clean, simple, and healthy. I often will get a soup and ciabatta panino(singular sandwich in Italian) combo. My favorite is a grilled pesto chicken with mozzarella and either lentil or a mix of lentil and tomato, the soups vary. The combos come either soup and sandwich or sandwich and salad. The salads are full and the balsamic dressing is delightful. I usually dip the panino in the dressing as well. Yum I’ve also had the Green Thai Coconut Curry with Chicken and Rice. Its hearty and filling, only $ 6, mind the kick it’s a lttle thpithy. I will continue to enjoy what Bite has to offer and happily find myself enjoying a bite from time to time. Check it out.
