I have used Big Apple Framing several times and each experience has been superior in every way. They work hard to achieve an artistic and aesthetically pleasing result and work patiently and in a friendly manner. My items have been delivered on time and the price is excellent. The best framer I have ever worked with.

Awful experience. The guy wanted to charge me $ 25 just to staple 8 staples to the foam board to the back of the frame. Less than 30 seconds of work and 5 cents of supplies for $ 25! Not to mention he was beyond rude! Shame on him!

Original DeLaVega artwork for sale! For an inexpensive price! I’ve noticed that a number of framing shops are starting to carry artwork by local artists, which is good for those artists, but also nice b/c the art frequently features local themes. Big Apple has a bunch of original DeLaVega work, which is terrific! You know his stuff if ever you’ve seen the«Become Your Dream» fish drawn with marker on discarded mattresses, with chalk on the sidewalk, etc. He used to have his own shop downtown, but no longer. Get your DeLaVega here! The counter guy is friendly and helpful, but we didn’t need much for framing — the artwork we bought was already framed under glass.

I’ve done three diplomas here and all turned out beautifully. The owner took care of me with double matting to match school colors that turned out fantastic. Frame options are great too. Couldn’t have been more pleased. They also have a lot of works pre-framed for purchase.

I was hoping to have a good experience here but unfortunately it has just lowered my expectations for customer service. I came to frame a small photo print. There was pretty much no guidance from the one person working the front of the store who literally brought me the opposite of everything I asked for(for example I asked for a faded blue matte and he brought me one that was bright baby blue) After going through that with him for a good 15 minutes I finally found a combination I liked. He ended up trying to charge me over $ 100 to frame a 3×5 inch picture. I left and went to a frame store on Lex and 81st where I paid half the price for a nicer custom frame.
