Don’t waste your time looking for a sign that says«Benkei Ramen” – just go straight into the Hotel Patrick restaurant. They’ll bring you a menu that lists totally standard hotel restaurant food ANDALSO ramen. You will eat delicately flavored Japanese ramen while surrounded by garish American hotel restaurant décor(the mirrors! the red velour! the enormous flower arrangements!) and it will be hilarious. The ramen isn’t super-duper-outstanding but it’s good. And the experience is just so wonderfully incongruous.

I had the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen. The soup was okay, creamy Tonkotsu but it was not hot enough, just lukewarm. The noodle did not taste good. Tasted stale. Chashu was okay. I went for lunch and it seemed like they weren’t expecting anyone to order ramen. It took like 25 minutes to get my ramen. There was only one other group that was there and they weren’t having ramen. Staff was friendly though. Too pricey for lunch, especially with that quality. Also, being in a hotel restaurant, I didn’t feel comfortable slurping my ramen… Review based on just the ramen.
