Let’s face it, Borough Park is short on great food. It’s neighbors (most notably, Sunset Park) have all the deliciousness. But Bartek is a gem of a store in the neighborhood. Don’t be fooled by its kwik-​e-​mart, lotto ticket store exterior. Inside you’ll find Polish specialties that you won’t find anywhere else and a killer deli counter w/​every type of polish sausage and pork product you could ever hope for.
Go there, pick up a few links of spicy Hungarian sausage, a package of frozen pierogies, and some amazing sweets. Overwhelmed? Ask one of the helpful girls that work there, they know what’s up.
