Amazing! Yes, it’s standing room only, but I’ll stand for this food and these awesome servers! Jimmy is great and always has such a huge smile on his face. Love hanging out here or just grabbing a quick bite! Highly recommend. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Beef croquettes — amazing. The strip steak is insane. And I don’t usually eat red meat! Also, their Cabernet is pretty delicious.

My new favorite place in New York. Go for a quick drink and snack alone or meeting a friend between things. Do not go if you want to sit and linger for hours, because you can’t. But if you want thoughtfully prepared, delicious food and wine at unbeatable prices, with an atmosphere that feels European in its honesty, integrity, friendliness, and unapologetic take-it-or-leave-it vibe, please go. The cheese plate with pumpkin jam made by the bartender’s mother made my day.

Having enjoyed Basta Pasta years ago , dropped in here with an Amazon Local deal* with high hopes to find a low counter and no seats(not their fault). Bartender/server was brusque throughout(and brusque when answering questions about the weak-sounding cheese and salami plates for $ 7 each), but the lone cook was very friendly and pretty efficient, handling the 3 patrons in the place on a weekday afternoon almost too well(dessert placed in front of me while I was still eating pasta). Tasmanian ocean trout carpaccio special for $ 9 was a solid start Spanish Octopus salad was nice but a bit too heavy on the onion Fusilli Porcini Special for $ 11 was really forgettable Crème Brulee special dessert(1 available per night it seems) for $ 8 was your standard crème brûlée with some large chunks of citrus on top FYI their site’s still under construction, and the menu seems to have an equal number of specials as permanent items(ike *$ 20 for $ 40 to spend on food and drink at dinner

We have been here a couple of time and was amazing both times! Favorites so far have been the kale tempura and their pizzette specials. The guys behind the counter are super friendly and play perfect hosts! Look forward to going back soon…

The food was presented simply yet it looked very pretty and colorful. But ultimately, I think it looked better than it tasted. The potato salad was decent, it was soft and smooth, and I think had the faint taste of tarragon. The skirt steak was more salty than I liked and I wasn’t too fond of the marinade used on it. There were a few leaves of bitter raddichio under the meat. The red pickled cabbage was ok, rather tart but crisp. The pickled cauliflower was crunchy and almost vinegary as well. The octopus was too soft and overcooked, not chewy at all. It was paired with a colorful mix of cubed peppers, celery, and cooked kidney beans. The mix gave a good small crunch to the dish but didn’t add much flavor. The cuttlefish was white, soft and slightly chewy and potatoes with spears of green asparagus and green beans. It was slightly better than the octopus. Bar B is a small, standing place dominated by the bar. You can watch the chefs at work while eating small plates and drinking wine or beverages. But I think the food doesn’t live up to it’s presentation.

Cute little wine/tapas bar off 7th Ave in lower Chelsea! We decided to randomly stop by on a weeknight for a quick drink before heading out and I don’t regret it at all. Nice selections of quality wines, a small tapas menu. Very cozy space and it’s all standing along the bar — but that’s what makes it stand out. Bartenders were friendly too.

This really cozy(and when I say cozy, I mean TINY) bar does not have any seats but can stand about 10 – 12 people. I think standing is a good idea anyways, especially if you sit on your butt all day at work. Standing helps oxygen flow to your brain and prevents you from falling asleep. The food portions here are pretty much what you’d expect from a tapas bar. You certainly won’t walk out of here feeling so stuffed that you hate yourself. Regardless, every plate is so good that you wish you ordered two or three of each. One of my favorites was the beef croquette, with it’s crispy, flaky batter on the outside and a tender, juicy morsel of ground beef in the middle. During lunch, I hear they offer this as a burger… Well, why the hell not?!

Cute little place. Only down fall there is no seating. You have to stand and eat at the bar which is not a huge deal.

The small plates and daily specials all sound mouth-watering. I love their wine selection here. Service is bar none. It’s great for a drink hop for the night as there aren’t chairs for you to sit and linger. Fun spot. Tiny and friendly. I’ll definitely be back!

Cute little place. service is outstanding and everything we ordered was delicious. We had special of yellow tail carpaccio with a hint of wasabi and lime and that was so yummy. Also the potato croquettes were delicious and also the bruchetta with broccoli rabe

The Quick: Fun spot to have delicious small bites and contemplate the large wine selection while standing and chatting with new friends and the counter. The Details: I adore this European style wine bar where you eat delicious bites and actually talk to the people around you… How un-Manhattan of us. Since there are no tables, you physically stand and eat at the bar. This is provides a unparalleled opportunity to meet interesting people in Chelsea. While I do not recommend this for a first date or a solo night to be with your thoughts, it’s a fun spot to stop in. The house pickled veggies were great and very inexpensive. The fried cheese and fried burger(both called something fancy) were out of this world. The octopus was also a win($ 10). Overall the food was great. The Damage: For bites and drinks the two of us spent around $ 50 + tip total. I recommend.

4.5 stars for food 3.5 stars for ambiance 2 stars for service(without a smile) We stopped in for lunch here after purchased an Amazon Local deal. It is a really unique spot as it’s a mix between america, Korean, and Italian food. They have happy hour here where wines are $ 5(normally $ 8). We weren’t able to get the discount since we had a voucher. But we tried a red and a Pinot Grigio which were both nice. There is standing room only. No stools, chairs or seating of any kind. They do have hook to place your coat/bag/purse. The young Asian hipster behind the bar looked completely out of it. No greeting or semblance of small talk(we were the only ones in the place). I even tried to make conversation(‘hey what would you recommend between the skirt steak sandwich and croquette sandwich.’…nada) We tried the cheese croquette($ 5) which was fresh and tasty. Gooey and delicious. For the lunch entrée I got the skirt steak(with a side salad)($ 9) and the hubby got the fuscilli(corkscrew pasta) with pesto and walnut($ 9). Both dishes were amazing! Fresh and fantastic flavor. It tasted like they just made everything from scratch. I like the vibe of this place, with the cork ceiling and standing area bar it is very laid back urban chic. Definitely worth a visit for the food. Check our the ceiling and bathroom while you’re there.

This place is very cute and definitely worth a stop. It’s a standing room only tapas bar with a wide variety of foods from Chinese and Italian to Vegan. It’s tiny so everything is made right in front of you and the food is great. They also serve alcohol so this place is popular for both lunch and late night bites. The staff are friendly and it’s generally a nice place for a quick bite.

I’ve been here a couple of times and it is great if you want to get something good and fast. You stand by the bar, so do not expect to spend a lot of time here. They cook right in front of you so it is a pretty cool experience too. The restaurant is owned by the same people that own Basta Pasta. We have literally tried almost everything on their menu and everything is so good. The service here is also pretty good.

Tasty casual standing-room only bar. Could probably fit 10 patrons at a time tops. Serving japanese/italian fusion sandwiches and small plates. Great flavors. Stop by for a snack or a quick lunch/dinner. Don’t expect to lounge.

This place has a unique personality, which can be both a pro or a con depending on who you are. Bartender, Andrew I think it was, is attentive and friendly. Chef, could not figure out his name, is awesome and should definitely get a more expansive venue. I would return for the food and to watch the Chef create his dishes. Tasted the margheritta pizzeta, the tripe, and the olives along with Nebulito(sp?) Red wine. Pros: Open concept kitchen Standing room only Cuisine is freshly made to order This place is impeccably clean & well maintained Very tailored wine list, with samples offered. Tripe was delicious and their housemade bread is worth selling on its own. Cons: Open concept kitchen right next to the bar in a tight space Standing room only Pizzetas are tasty but are the size of a mini bagel Olives tasted like the jar variety and were mushy– forgo these.
