Elegante y con estilo. Una joya oculta en el barrio. La comida es deliciosa y la carta de vinos muy acorde a la calidad de la comida. Los postres estan buenos pero pueden mejorar. Muy recomendable.

Very good service. Also, the best quality for value I’ve ever had in a restaurant week prix fix. No complaints.

Restaurant week is that gorgeous little creation that let’s us average folks try out a new place for a special occasion. Welp, the special occasion was my fiancé’s birthday and the gem we discovered was this joint. Our waiter(Josh?) helped us pick out a great wine we’ve never had before, oysters from Maine, some more from California, and a banana dessert that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Entrées were a spicy Fra Diavolo and some braised short ribs that fell off those ribs(and clung to mine). Even noticed what I thought treated like Korean influence in the cuisine. Atlantic Grill took ahold of the spirit of restaurant week and owned it. Nicely done.

Dinner, party of six. Ordered the seafood tower for starters. The lobster was overcooked and the remainder was mediocre. Ordered two sushi rolls as main course. They were also mediocre. Notwithstanding the food, the dining room is inviting, comfortable, and was packed with patrons. The diners were a homogeneous group. My wife ordered the tuna(not the grilled one) and it was delicious. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here.

The food was absolutely delicious. Went today for restaurant week lunch, and we got the tomato soup and salmon maki for appetizers and the cod and skirt steak wrap for entrée, both with the chocolate torte for dessert and an extra shrimp crab spring roll. Everything was superb! The reason why it lost two stars is because I was extremely unhappy with my server. He was short, unattentive and even left the check on our table when it was clear we had just gotten started on our dessert. A couple hours after lunch, when my stepsister and I were recollecting how good our lunch was, we both came to the same conclusion that we got bad vibes from our server. That’s why I decided to write the review. Other than that, highly recommended! I’d been to Ocean Grill on the UWS, and my expectations were exceeded.

I came here for my birthday dinner with friends. It was a restaurant week so they had $ 38 pre-fix dinner and I had the salmon maki, shellfish rigatoni, and coconut rice pudding with the German white wine that was incredible. We shared oysters and the west coast ones were fantastic. While the noise level was appropriate and the ambiance was great, the tables were too closely placed next to each other and people kept touching my chair to go across the hall, including the waiter. That’s the only reason why I’m giving 4 stars but the food definitely was good.

I would give this place 3.5÷5 stars. We came here for lunch and ordered the Shellfish Tower for 2, the Classic Caviar, a salad, and a burger. For $ 58, I would’ve expected a little more seafood on the shellfish tower. There was very little meat in the lobsters and the oysters were on the smaller side. The burger was fine but the salad I ordered basically consisted of 4 slices of heirloom tomatoes and some feta cheese. I would come back to Atlantic Grill but I would probably stay away from the shellfish tower and the salads.

Ordered: the special — Halibut with an herb risotto & sushi HIGHLY reccomend this dish! I normally order something else besides risotto sides but the fish and risotto complemented each other perfectly. It was absolutely amazing. Also the sushi was great too!

Amazing restaurant with wonderful food, service and atmosphere. I’ve been here several times dining outside and at the tables in the cocktail/bar area, but tonight was the first time in the size able and lovely dining room . Service was friendly and attentive. Food was wonderful: — bread with sweet butter — super — beet and goat cheese salad — great — sushi — tuna(paradise?) roll — amazing amazing — swordfish with lump crabmeat– beautiful presentation and delicious — salmon with Brussel sprouts and squash– fantastic. I never order salmon because I am so particular about my salmon so won’t risk ordering, but I tried my friends’ and it was mild, wonderful Highly recommend as a solid amazing restaurant to bring friends family or a date.

The Atlantic Grill took over the space and décor from a restaurant named Jim McMullens in 1998. It has been packed with UES regulars ever since. It specializes in seafood, and is one of my favorite dining destination in the neighborhood. Apart from consistently good, predictable food, the décor and lighting provide an inviting environment for dining. They have a large selection of wines by the glass and outdoor café seating on Third Avenue in warm weather. In a city like New York there are abundant options for good dining. Because Atlantic Grill has become almost an institution in the neighborhood, I probably take it for granted as I audition new entries into the culinary world that is the UES, so I don’t go as often as I should. When I do go I’m reminded of how much I’ve enjoyed my meals here over the years. There’s no point in listing the menu items because it changes almost daily. I’m writing this for visitors to NYC who want a non-touristy dining destination. You won’t be disappointed.

I wanted this place to be good in the worst way. It was a long day, we had just taken an hour and a half drive in traffic into Manhattan… and you know, it was plain old average. The layout of this place makes no sense. You walk in and the bar is to the left and there are 3 awkwardly placed tables to the right. The poor people in these tables have to see every single person come in and leave about 6 inches from them. It’s just awkward. Anyway, we got a booth in the back which was much better. The place looks great – some exposed beams up top and everything else looked very classy. The best part about Atlantic Grill is the bread. Absolutely the best rolls I’ve ever had at a restaurant hands down. Incredible. The butter white roll(looks like a Hawaiian roll) was simply awesome. It went downhill from there, though. I ordered a caesar salad and then bigeye tuna. The salad was good – simple, really can’t mess up a caesar salad. Then came the wait. We waited 15 minutes, 20, 30, 40… the manager told us 3 or 4 minutes at one point and it was another 15. So slow. The tuna was good but certainly not great. The worst part was dessert. I asked the waitress for her recommendation between the bread pudding and apple pie and she said to go with the bread pudding. I ate the ice cream there and took the pudding home. The ice cream tasted like someone took a Glade and spilled pumpkin spice air freshener on my gelato. What was better was the fact that the bread pudding tasted like someone took 3 Glade air fresheners and dumped them everywhere, especially over the fruit compote. Dear lord was it bad. Bad. Our waitress was friendly enough, no problems here. Otherwise, Atlantic Grill was just average. Except for the bread. Great freaking bread.

Another amazing meal at Atlantic grill. We started with drinks at the bar. I tried the thyme lemon vodka and the bf had the smoking tequila one… His drink actually had a smoke smell and taste… not my fav. Mine was a bit plain. Was expecting more of a thyme infusion, but was rather a garnish. Service by bartenders was stellar though. For dinner, we both opted for the weekday $ 44 prix fixe option. We both got the standard Caesar salad. Then, I opted for the salmon over Brussel sprouts and? sweet potatoes? Amazing piece of fish and expertly prepared. .just melted in your mouth. Bf got the organic chicken, which was a sizeable portion and he took ½ home. Desserts were both warmed chocolate brownies with fresh whipped cream and coffee/cardamom ice cream… yummy. We had a great time, amazing food and service, and good drinks. Can’t wait to return.

Went there for an early dinner for Thanksgiving, today. Have not been there for a long time, and don’t know why. They had a limited menu, for the holiday. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and the spicy tuna and Hamachi roll. Both were phenomenally prepared, with great flavor, and perfect spiciness. The waiter suggested a red snapper appetizer. Pretty much a sashimi style. Not ignoring his suggestion, I accepted. Glad I listened. It was really good. I would eat here again, next time I’m in the city, and in the area. Highly recommended to anyone that likes seafood.

I enjoyed the food — a grilled chicken salad– however the choices are a little limited at lunch on a weekend. Used the opentable app to reserve and pay for the meal which was cool. We didn’t even need to look at the bill. Service was a 3 out of 5. Would probably return.

Atlantic Grill is somewhat of a «dependable staple» on the UES and I have been there several over the years. The food is not particularly imaginable or spectacular, but is always solid. On this visit we were a party of 6 and ordered many items including: Apps: Lobster Bisque — a bit too much sherry for my taste but lots of crab on top! Vegetable Roll Spicy Tuna Roll — good but I have had better Cherry Stone Clams– my Mom loves the clams there Beet Salad Chopped Salad — the capers made it a bit salty Mains: Special sushi Roll with salmon, tuna, mango, avocado, eel sauce — a disappointment. The components just did not work well together and the mango taste was too strong. 10 year old ordered this but could not eat it. I ate some of it and gave him the rest of my… Snapper — my Mom got this special of the day as well which was made with a Parmesan emulsion. The fish had a really nice sear and a delicate flavor. It was a bit under seasoned for me, but the fish was cooked perfectly and it was overall a very good dish. Other fish dishes ordered included Simply Prepared Bronzino and Swordfish. Everyone thought their fish was prepared perfectly. Atlantic Grill does have a tempting dessert menu. We did order some fruit sorbet(grape and mango) and gelato(peanut butter and chocolate). They were all delicious and the perfect ending to our meal. Yes, the food was not absolutely stunning and perfect. However, what solidifies Atlantic Grill’s four star rating for me is the professional and attentive service. Our server was informative and completely respectful. The food came out at the perfect pace. Each generation from grandson to grandma and in-between thoroughly enjoyed our meal!

Had lunch at Atlantic Grill with the husband today… and was pleasantly surprised at how great everything was. Ambiance: We sat inside but had a nice view of 3rd Ave. The restaurant was clean and cool(not overly air conditioned, which was great), and had a great Hillstone-ish feel. Service: Very friendly and quick. Food took a while but we weren’t in a rush so it was fine. Food: Overall really good. – Crabcakes were delicious — not greasy or full of mayo. Definitely order these. – Chicken salad was great according to my husband. I had a few beets and avocado and can say that the dressing was delicious. – Side of vegetables was just okay… not sure it needed to be drowned in olive oil though. I probably won’t order this again. – Complimentary bread is addicting. Next time I need to pace myself as I think I ate the majority myself. – Lava cake was good according to my husband, but he said it was a bit cold in the middle. It probably just needed heating a bit more. Atlantic Grill is a bit on the overpriced side but the excellent food quality and service justify the prices. We’ll definitely return.

I’ve been here a few times so I was excited to go back… came in last night for dinner and sadly was underwhelmed and a bit disappointed by the overall experience. Thursday nights are always packed but there was an extended wait for our reservation, which was annoying. When we were finally seated at the table our waiter was very frazzled and appeared to be new. He couldn’t tell us anything about the wine so after about a 15 minute wait we finally got another waiter who could actually speak to the types of wine. The restaurant should really do a better job at training their new employees. they should know how to speak to the different types of wine on the menu or they should have wine expert/manager… in addition to that the waiter should be able to speak to what is sold out on the menu. Our waiter was nowhere to be found and we ended up ordering from a random person walking by which was fine based on how busy they were but not what you would expect. We waited a good 25 minutes for a bottle of wine to be served and poured by another waiter .the white wine was warm and really subpar which was disappointing. When we finally ordered our food that was where the real disappointment began. My branzino was really overcooked and almost chewy. griss! My friends shrimp and scallops was super disappointing. The scallops tasted disgusting almost under seasoned and undercooked .also very small portion. We ordered another fish dish in its place and that came out undercooked, we sat there with untouched food finally we asked for the bill in which we had paid for all the dishes no explanation or no input from any of the people even when we sent back food. Extremely poor service. Very disappointed.

Came to Atlantic grill to celebrate my husband’s birthday on saturday night, we came at 6:30pm and the restaurant was already packed! This location has a very classy upper east side feel but they jammed in so many tables that the place feels a bit too crowded. Luckily we were seated at the back area that felt a little more roomy than the front section of the restaurant. We got the shellfish tower for 2 and it came with a large variety of seafood such as clams, mussels, oysters, crab legs, lobster, cocktail shrimp and salmon ceviche. For entrée we got the teriyaki sea bass with soba noodles and the blackened swordfish in curry sauce. Both fish were cooked perfectly and I really love my seabass, i the sauce is not too sweet and it has a strong sesame oil taste which I like. We ended our meal with their famous banana icecream tower and I must say that was really delicious, if you have room for dessert then I highly recommend you getting the banana tower. Overall I am very happy with this place, although the restaurant was really busy, we never felt rushed or anything. The food is nothing groundbreaking but they sure know how to cook their fish. You wont be disappointed with this place as long as you come prepare how crowded this restaurant gets.

I went to Atlantic Grill for a family brunch and was definitely impressed by the ambiance and décor. It’s pretty upscale with a decent sized brunch menu with some really good breakfast options and seafood options as well. We made a reservation and were seated at a booth close to the back. I have to say that I was not impressed by the service. Our waiter did not have a lot of knowledge about the menu and didn’t check on us a lot. We had to ask many times for someone to flag him down so we could get refills or order something else. He forgot our coffee orders a number of times and reached across the table to pour, spilling coffee everywhere numerous times. Maybe we were just unlucky, but that put a damper on the experience for me. If you order one of the breakfast items it’s a pretty decent deal with each of your courses coming with coffee and a drink, choosing from a bellini, champagne, bloody mary, or screwdriver. My bellini was really good, so I would definitely recommend that. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla, which I wasn’t that impressed by to be honest. It comes with a pretty small side of greens, and the quesadilla itself isn’t that big. It was pretty dry, and the sour cream on the side didn’t help that much. Everyone else in my party seemed happy with their orders though — the blackened chicken salad was a pretty big hit. None of our orders were that filling though, and we got a bunch of desserts to share including the banana ice cream tower and the apple crisp. The banana tower is pretty good, and it’s the most popular item, so I would definitely not leave without getting one of those. The apple crisp though was lukewarm and not that impressive. I don’t know if I would 100% come back because I had a mediocre experience, but it’s a charming place with some great options.

Stopped by before going to a Broadway show and took full advantage of their Pre Theatre dinner Pre-Fixe menu. Here are some must haves: –Cherrystones: AH-MAZ-ING! Large, meaty, fresh, super chilled and served with 4 different sauces. I almost ordered more if it weren’t for all the other food we had already put in for dinner. –Ceasar salad: Requested mine with white anchovies. Superb. –Faroe Salmon: As far as salmon goes, this dish was prepared pretty well. The fillet was cooked to perfection and the gnocchi it was served with was very soft and flavorful. The entrée is pretty rich and saucy so if you want to keep it light, you may want to order something grilled instead. Worth the calorie splurge though! The only minus here may be the brussels sprouts. It was served a bit heavy handed with the maple syrup but you may like that if you have a sweet tooth. Overall, this is a decent spot for some seafood. Service was also top notch. thumbs up!

Wow! My boyfriend and I are French, and I must admit that I miss good food and I’m rather bored with American food… So when we randomly chose this place, I must say that, finally, my taste buds are happy again!!! We ordered lobster spring rolls for a starter, the sauces were delicious! My boyfriend had the maki-wrapped tuna and I had the crispy skin salmon… Sooooo good!!! Amazing mix of tastes, perfectly cooked! And obviously NOT overpriced, come on people, most steakhouses out there serve poor food for higher prices! I had the chocolate fondue for the dessert, it was just perfect… The staff was friendly even though we came in at 10pm! We’ll definitely come back and bring my parents in law when they visit.
