NYC grocery stores, except for While foods and a few others, are usually kinda messy. This one is no exception with misplaced or missing items. The thing that however pisses me off the most is the rudeness of their cashiers. There are usually 2 girls, on 2 different shifts and not once I have been greeted not offered a smile. Now, I do understand we are in NYC and we are all in a hurry, but it doesn’t take much to say hello. The store is right around the corner from my apartment but I’d rather walk 5 blocks to go to Target. Also the items are most of the times overpriced

This place has the potential to be an excellent place. It has a great craft beer section in the back, Organic produce, and plenty of good items not available in the area, but damn, it takes forever to get out of there ! Really slow teller(noticed the«teller» and not«tellers») seriously, there are 3 lanes and theres usually only one teller and rarely 2. Then the teller that is there is usually very, VERY slow. On top of that, if you’re going to have slow tellers then at least make space for people to stand in line, because there is no space and you just have to pile up with the other people while waiting. If you go on the weekend is usually not bad, but every time you go there after-work(you know, rush hour) forget it, you’ll be there for a while.

pretty good. better now than when it first opened. more organic options. Still room for improvement but I am very glad to have it in the neighborhood and definitely so stop there when parking is available.

Over several months of regular shopping here, I’ve been pleased with the store’s cleanliness and selection, especially given its small footprint. The management get extra points for making room for the main Latin foodstuffs alongside the organic packaged goods and craft beers. The relative deemphasis on things like greens, root vegetables, and hand fruit probably reflects the management’s assumption their customers are also patronizing the year-round Inwood greenmarket. All in all, it’s a major benefit to the Inwood sub-neighborhood north of Isham, one I’d rather support even if there’s a price tradeoff compared to Pathmark.

While the vegetable and meat sections are relatively poor compared to the other markets(ctown, pathmark etc), this supermarket has some good beer selection at the back of the store. I didn’t expect to find my favorite radeberger here. To summarize, this is a small supermarket which serves your minimal needs. Although somehow they have relatively quality household products(organic soaps, detergents kind), you may need an another trip to other local supermarket to finish your whole shopping.
