I never really get flowers so I didn’t know what I was doing, but I wanted to get my boss some for her birthday. The guy asked me how much I wanted to spend so I let him know, and then he asked what I wanted. I went to go peek in the glass case and I saw these pretty yellow/​orange roses. Then I saw some bright flowers at the bottom. The guy told me there weren’t really enough, but I wanted them anyway. My boss writes in neon dry erase markers a lot and I wanted the really bright, orange and pink pretty flowers. Other than that I asked him to just put what he thought went well together and he did an excellent job. He put it in a tall vase and took the time to put the leaves around the vase base, cut the flowers, and arrange them. Then he took green tissue paper and wrap to make sure I could carry them nicely. He put more plastic on top and tied it with some straw ribbon. I thought it looked beautiful and the flowers had such a nice scent. When my boss walked in her office, she said she’s never gotten such pretty flowers on her bday before, so that made me feel good.
I’d def be back in the future, especially because last time I was here the man gave me a free orchid after my former boss bought a few as gifts for some people. So nice! Made my day!

Wonderful! I ordered an arrangement for a friend and chose this florist because they are close to her apartment. I couldn’t be more pleased – they delivered a lovely arrangement within 2 hours (on a Saturday.) I will definitely use them again.

This florist offers amazing flower arrangements and deciding which one to get is difficult. As a consequence, I bought more than I initially wanted. The quality of the flowers is outstanding and the arrangements are very creative. I bought a couple of Christmas decorations and they are all stylish, yet classic with a special touch. The sales person was incredibly nice and even threw in three complementary roses that now brighten up my office. Delivery was timely and uncomplicated. I can only recommend this florist.

The Grand Hyatt New York uses this florist for all of their events, and they always go above and beyond, delivering gorgeous arrangements on time every time. They even make miracles happen, like today, when my client decided she wanted 23 small arrangements delivered in 30 minutes. Sure enough, they showed up and they were beautiful.

I wanted to send a very special floral arrangement to my son and daughter-​in-​law for their third wedding anniversary. I checked out a lot of online websites before deciding on Ariston’s Tower of Love arrangement. I was looking for a high-​end florist that delivered real quality and I clearly made the best choice. My children said it was the most beautiful arrangement that they have ever received. The flowers looked like they were just picked from the garden and the design of the arrangement matched the picture on their website… really extraordinary! I placed the order by phone, asked them to make the arrangement a bit taller and that’s exactly what they did. I live in Los Angeles and have a lot of family in the NY area. From now on, Ariston will be my first choice when I want to send really breathtaking flowers. They were wonderful!!!

I am seriously dismayed by the negative reviews left around the same time (Valentines 2015). If I weren’t there THAT DAY, I may have been swayed. But I was there. It actually WAS busy, and Spiro/​Theo had several extra people helping out. The selection was immense, both pre-​made and a la cart. In February, they had: Mimosa, peonies, hyacinths, tulips, double-​tulips, french tulips, roses of all colors/​stem lengths, orchids, white lilacs, purple lilacs… I can go on and on, just mentioned unusual stock for the season. Lilacs and peonies. IN FEBRUARY. Seriously, people. The store was stocked to the max, and BUSY. I CAN’t help but wonder if a competitor opened up nearby and sent some hacks in for reviews. As for the packaging — it was an exceptionally cold day in NYC, and they were packaging everything to make sure the flowers survive. They know my address, so no biggy, but I heard them ask other customers how far they were going to wrap accordingly. A week in, and my own arrangements (picture posted on the day — one with the mimosa/​peonies/​tulips, one with the lilacs) still alive and well. No way the experiences could be this far apart. As I’ve said: I WAS THERE THAT DAY. And a quick sidenote: everyone was gushing about our flowers. I don’t know — maybe I just know how to scan stock and tell them what I want, and others do not. It’s not rocket science, it’s flowers. One would think — particularly if you walk in — grown-​ups have the skills to point at what they want. And not walk out of a store with something they don’t like. Repeat after me: «No, this doesn’t work for me, change it». Sheesh. You walk out of a store and take a picture of something you find unacceptable, rather than tell them to change it? Right. I believe you.

Walked in to grab a small bouquet of flowers for my girlfriend on Valentine’s Day. Shop was pretty empty considering that it was Valentine’s Day, but I thought ‘whatever more options for me.’ The flowers were pretty generic, I ended up getting roses like five thousand other people do.
Staff was rude, I told him I wanted a certain sized bouquet and he gave me a dirty look and told me it depends on which flowers, and how much I wanted to spend. He talked as if making bouquets required years of experience and only a handful of florists existed in the city.
And with that much pride on his face, he gave me the ugliest thing I have ever seen.

Terrible. I got a bouquet from them today and I don’t know who in their right mind would have put this ugly arrangement together. Don’t go here it’s a waste off money as their florists have no taste.

This place was SO helpful when I needed an arrangement last minute, the woman Bessie helped me and got me exactly what I needed, even sending me photos of options. I also needed them delivered early in the morning and she made sure they were here for me, it was amazing customer service. Will always use this place from now on!

So glad this place is here! They were open early on Saturday morning and I was able to snag a beautiful bouquet for my aunt’s birthday before hopping on the train up to Connecticut. Prompt and friendly service, reasonable price for high quality flowers. Will use again.

I needed to get a bouquet for a family friend in NYC to honor his retirement, and since I HATE 1 – 800 flowers and its ilk I decided to find a local florist with classy, tasteful arrangements instead. Ariston seemed to fit the bill.
I live in California, so I called to place the order. I obviously wasn’t able to go into the store to look around at my options, and relied instead on the website. The person I spoke with on the phone was obnoxious when I had questions about the different types of arrangements. Why did I have questions, you ask??? Because this floral arrangement is for an older gentleman, and I honestly had no idea what to get him. He said he’d just ask the resident designer to put something together. Lovely. At this point I just wanted to get off the phone; so, because I didn’t have a receipt, and because there’s currently a blizzard in NY, and because vendors mess up orders all the time, I requested a confirmation of delivery. Totally reasonable, right?
Wrong. He curtly replied that no, he would not have someone call me to confirm. And promptly hung up.
Perhaps they are kinder to their customers on-​site, but this transplanted native New Yorker will order flowers from elsewhere next time.

This place does a great job! I work at a business near by and need to order arrangements a few times a month. They are consistently beautiful and well priced.

I work across the street and decided to try this florist for a arranagement for my girlfriend. I’ve now used them a few times as they do an amazing job. I judge a good florist by the recipients reactions and my girlfriend has always been so impressed. definitely a great place.
