I am Unilocaling away this month! I’m going on some interviews this week(cross your fingers for me!) and wanted to find something that was clean and crisp and professional but suited to my tastes. A friend of mine mentioned Anne Fontaine for their unique designs and GOODNESS. Is this the white blouse jackpot. Streamlined designed and fabrics worth the pretty penny they cost. When I get good service, I always make a point to get to know the people I am working with and this shopping experience was no exception. I was help by a gorgeous woman(curly head!) named Samirra. She showed me some of her favorite styles which are now mine — hellooooo Armantine! Totally worth the $ 250 price tag. It honestly was like shopping with your best friend… just with better fashion sense ;) She also showed me some of their other seasonal colors so I could easily make staples for my fall and winter wardrobe. Hello REDANDNAVY! Definitely left more fashionable than when I walked in. Thanks Samirra! Will certainly be back.

A fabulous place for shirts! The fabrics, cut, drape and fabrication are just exquisite. My favorite purchase is a white shirt with 3-D roses along the placket. The shirt is just gorgeous and worth every penny. If you regard the purchase as a long-term investment, the sting of the purchase price is substantially diminished.

The sales people were helpful, and I love the clothes, but there was a big miscommunication about what shipping method they were using –from the 5th Ave location, not Madison. I was advised«FedEx», which made me think«fast» but it was ground, signature req’d. I shipped to my office, but FedEx tried to deliver on Sat. no one there Sat. Better communication would have prevented issue.

The most beautiful, well cut, and expertly designed women’s shirts. They use a variety of fabrics and weights and add fantastic details(e.g., stitching, interesting buttons, unique collars) but limit their color palette to black and white, which makes the store pristine and beautiful. Many of the designs are young and modern, but I think the price keeps most 20-somethings away. My favorite purchase that I still wear five years later is a white cotton button-down with a diagonal button placket. I’ve never seen anything like it before or since. You can find shirts for going out or for work here, but be prepared to spend $ 150 – 250 per shirt, which is steep for ready-to-wear. The Chicago location is also nice.
