Angelika was so fun and refreshing to work with that I couldn’t resist posting a review here. She transformed our city brownstone apartment from an average, pretty dull and not-so functional home to a gorgeous and comfortable interior where we can now live, socialize, and work when needed. She was easy to work with, completed every task we needed her to focus on, and surely understood our budget which had very clear limitations — she made sure to stick to it which made the process stress-free, and I found her fees very reasonable and fair throughout, especially given the quality I got back. She really did listen to our needs and that made me trust her design decisions. Angelika is courteous, professional, timely, and knowledgeable in her field which is not always the case with decorators. She is flexible and creative, and helped us come up with ways to utilize our space to the fullest, and make it our own, beautiful home which our family and friends now love visiting. All her furnishing, lighting and accessory suggestions were carefully selected to fit not only our likes in terms of design/color/materials, but also in terms of the clear budget we wanted to allocate which was a priority, and was respected throughout the whole process. I hope to work with her if we move again in the future!

Peta Gaye Shoucair and Angelika Wrzesinska polished up their slick sales approach. When I hired the team they cut photos from super expensive websites and my beer and braut taste did not match their beluga and champagne ideas. No compromises.

Caution flags! Whether it be East Block Studios, A Shoucair or now Angelika Design Studio, the name changes but they have the same attitudes. Before we met everything was great, Angelika said she could do everything we spoke about(soffits around HVAC ductwork, lighting, wood flooring, lobby furnishings and paint color consult) and she knows exactly what I want. I felt the bond. The bond didn’t hold because it is hard for logic to prevail over emotion. She developed an attitude and was very emotional when I attempted to extract an explanation who agreed to her paint choices and where the wall treatment came from. ALSO why the maximum budget was missing supplies and labor. There is no reasoning and after a blown deadline I just told everyone they were done and I finished the job myself.
