for sure a hidden gem. I went there with two of my friends and it was semi-hard to find because our GPA led us astray but thanks to google maps & the pictures others posted(thanks so much guys!) it only took us a few minutes to find it afterwards. The place is inside is cute, with the tables lined up on the right hand side and the wrapping around on the second level. My friends and I ordered the grape leaves, hummus, lamb shish kabab and an anatolia salad. All were super good choices as there was not a single thing left on each place. I am super happy we went there and everyone should try it. I already really enjoy Mediterranean food, but this place made me love it more.

I don’t recommend anyone to go to this place, let me start about the waitress we called before we went the the in the afternoon, I couldn’t understand a word of what she was saying my wife had a expired grupon and we wanted to ask if they still accept it like that. Finally we got the answer the they would only accept it by subtracting the amount money from total expense. We ok with that the appetizers we pretty blend hummus and sautéed liver not my favorite, we ordered the main course lamb sautéed and seafood sautéed they were both literally the worse meal I ever had in my life tasteless blend flavor, I took a couple of bites and I knew I was never coming back to this place ever again, ok we asked the waitress to take the places back that we didn’t want anything else, by then my appetite was long gone, we ask her to bring out the dessert I was pretty surprise by the desert they weren’t bad at all finally ask the waitress for the check she brought it then u realized she charged for the for every item we ordered when she’s clearly saw that we didn’t eat the Main courses at all and on top of that she added the tip on the bill, good luck getting same regulars there never coming back to that place ever again. All she said that she was sorry we couldn’t eat the main courses, in any restaurant the rule should be that if you let you server know on time that your are not happy with your meal and the whole plate is intact you should pay for it :/.

Let’s start saying I LOVE Turkish food, went many times to turkey and have been to many different turkish restaurants. So The Place is small, fast service, food not the best but alright. We have a dinner and we were 9 people. At the end we liked it, not loved. Not coming back tho.

I went here with my mother, and we both loved the experience. My mom had Tiger Shrimp Sautee, and I had the Chicken Adana. Both meals were delicious, especially the shrimp. To top off the wonderful experience, the ladies working there were very attentive and accommodating. Thanks for the great meal ANATOLIA!

Come eat all of the foods. Recommended by our hotel that is close. Everything is amazing and we got to try several apps. Service is top notch. Small, family owned business. If we lived here we would be regulars.

Purchased Groupon. Ordered: Hummus: Homemade and was delicious with their complimentary Turkish bread! Crispy Fried Calamari: Crispy exterior and tender interior. Delicious Chicken Kebab: Chicken was so tender! Lamb Sautee: Pieces of lamb in an tomato-y and slightly spicy and oily sauce, with bell peppers and mushroom. Yummy and hearty Pudding: meh Baklava: YESSSSSOGOOD Really happy that we bought the Groupon and decided to try this place out! They should be more upfront about the 20% tip they charge on the itemized bill. By upfront I mean that they should put it in ALLCAPS on their menu(if they had it, I didn’t see it). I prefer having the power as a customer to tip whatever percentage I’d like.

I have had a good meal or two here, but last night was total disappointment. We were waiting an hour and a half for our order from seamless, although seamless sent us updates that the order was on its way. After all that time, my very hungry company had me call the restaurant. The manager said they didn’t even process the order, and they would do so then. It would be 20 minutes till the food was ready and then it would have to be delivered. My hungry guests and husband made me cancel the seamless order. In all this time as a seamless client, I’ve never had to do that. There has to be a better system in place at this restaurant.

I stopped by because I wanted to try their Prix Fixe menu, and I’m glad I did! This is a small restaurant on 62nd Street between 1st Ave and York, so kind of hidden. There is a seating area in the front and semi-elevated area in the back. The décor is nice in the front, while the back had semi-strange lighting. Service was quite good. The Prixe fix menu gives you a choice of one appetizer(hot or cold), main course, and dessert for $ 25. It’s $ 29 including a glass of wine, which is a pretty good deal. 1. Wines: They have a pretty nice wine list, with average $ 10 a glass. 2. Bread: Amazingly baked. So delicious. The olive oil it comes with is on the lighter side. I prefer a heavier olive taste, but it works. You get 3 olives in the oil plate. 3. Grilled calamari: Good portions, and comes with a creamier dipping sauce. I liked this, but didn’t love it… maybe a little too fishy for me. 4. Zucchini pancakes: Awesome. Crispy and substantive. 2 patties with a nice fresh yogurty dipping sauce. 5. Lamb sautee: I loved this dish! It has the perfect sauce for the rice. Very flavorful. 6. Chicken Adana: Quite good as well and comes with a side salad and scoop of rice. I liked the lamb better, but this is also a good option, apparently less dry than the shish kebab. 7. Rice pudding: I really liked this! It’s pretty sweet with a little cinnamon on top. Comes in a cute bowl. 8. Baklava: Amazing! It’s small, but definitely in the top 10% of baklava I’ve had.

The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. This place is a go-to for my office, Their lentil soup is my favorite, the bread is fresh out of the oven and the rice pudding taste like home! Their chicken meal was great as well. I highly recommend!

We went with another couple with a Groupon deal. To make things clear, its not a deal with the Groupon. I paid $ 99 for the groupon for 4 people which included per person: one glass of wine, appetizer, entrée and dessert. They itemize the bill. With an extra glass of wine, we ended paying for tip(they add 20%) and tax which came to be $ 57.33. They have a special $ 24.95/pp for the same thing for dinner. That being said, the food is pretty good, fresh and they do serve large portions. The meats are well seasoned and prepared nicely. Its not fancy fare but simple. They serve most meals with rice and salad. The appetizers are also pretty good. We had the eggplant dip, calf’s liver(seasoned and fried) and the zucchini cakes which were not greasy. My husband loved the dessert, said it was the best rice pudding he’s had in a long time. I had the baklava which was also pretty good and my friends had the pudding which they finished. The service was attentive and the people were very nice. I would definitely go there again but would not bother to buy the groupon. Its a great place to go for casual night out.

Came here with the Groupon deal. We were the only ones there. It was 9 pm on a Sunday night. The service was great. The waitress lady and I bonded over the death of chivalry. haha She let me order my appetizer and wine while I waited for my date. I had the sigara borek(cheese pie), which is one of my favorite things in Turkish restaurants. My favorite thing in Turkish restaurants is always the bread… yup, BREADISBAE. This place did not disappoint. — If you ever have the despicable luck of going to a Turkish place with bad bread make sure to leave ASAP. lol I had the lamb kabob for my entrée. Would definitely order it again. It wasn’t dry at all and the portion was very large. We shared the baklava and milk custard for dessert. Both were delicious. I would definitely come back or order delivery from this place. The prices are right for the amount of food that you get. This place looks like a hole on the wall from the outside, but it is surprisingly spacious. It is also BYOB, but I am not sure if they have a cork fee.

My wife and I went with a groupon and it was really a good deal: 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 deserts and 2 drinks for less than $ 50. The food is really good. We got the smoked eggplants and the vegetable rolls for appetizers, then the vegetarian plater and the lamb kebab for entrees, and finally the baklavas for deserts. Portions were of good size, and the service was fast too. Definitely recommended.

Pretty solid cinnamon custard Belly Bite freebie was served sans plasticware but with an ad on the container. Nice guys running the place, but hopefully they survive, as ‘groupon’ is mentioned most and that’s with ‘deal’ appended, so there are likely countless other deals available. I came across a groupon deal & figured why not give it a try. We stopped by on a Monday after work came in no trouble being seated we decided to sit below. Once seated we started with some White wine, the wine was good. They start u off with a great bread basket delicious hot bread w dipping oil hard to put down. Appetizers we tried the Zucchini pancakes & Fried Calamari, the Calamari was good comes with a cheese like sauce very good sauce. Never had Zucchini pancakes so I was curious about trying these & they did not disappoint, delicious nice taste a little bit greasy since they are fried but not bad at all comes with a Yogurt sauce very good. Switching the sauces with each appetizer very good even trying it with bread made it almost impossible not to finish It all the bread. At this point we were both pretty full already but we still had our main dish. I tried the Chicken Adana, grilled chicken nicely season with a bit of a spicy kick comes w salad, rice & a few veggies chicken was very flavorful good rice. My friend had the Chicken sauté also cooked in spices with rice, this has a lot of sauce bread comes in handy here for dipping very good, good chicken as well. No room for dessert but we tried the Rice Pudding & Custard, good rice pudding very good custard. The restaurant is small, simple décor, good service & aside from having the deal prices are decent. This place was a great find we really enjoyed our meal.

Went to this place on a groupon for my boyfriends birthday with another couple and will be back! The service was EXCELLENT! The food was also something to write home about! The other reviews seems to knock a bit on the atmosphere but i LOVEDIT as well. It is a cozy environment and every table seemed to be enjoying themselves. If you are into liver their liver appetizer was delectable, their cheese pie was also decadent. We all had different entrees and left full and extremely satisfied. Can’t wait to go back and bring others. Note: if you bring a groupon they charge a corking fee if you BYOB10 $ a bottle, which i still think is reasonable. Figured i’d relay the information

Came here with a group on a Friday night using a groupon or living social deal.(not sure which site as I wasn’t the one who purchased it.) The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food was DELICIOUS, and the house wine was great as well. I highly recommend the dip starters. I don’t remember which ones we had but they were all very good. The whole fish was great as well! If you have a deal it costs extra but worth it. I can’t comment on the price value because we had a deal and split the bill among a group. When we arrived for dinner at 6/6:30 the place was quiet, but busy by the time we left. PS I was here last month in January 2015 but the review date goes by when I wrote it, not by when I checked in.
