Tiny latin american bakery located just off broadway a block from the GWB Bus Station. Great café con leche and baked goods and breads. The chocolate pound cake was moist and tasty.

[Yelp has messed up the address. Note that this is in Washington Heights, in Manhattan! Address is 70 West 180 St., New York, NY] Get your Dominican and Central American pastries here: fresh, delicious, cheap. And a café con leche for a buck that will make your day. The locals know about it, they’re in and out of here all the time. No atmo for sitting in really, but take out your coffee, your pastry, your roll or bread, your sandwich, your tres leches or éclair or guava paste & cheese pie or pastel or flan… and you’ll be happy this place is part of our world — authentic baking at affordable prices with great taste. And if you’re not familiar with the regional baking tradition covered by this bakery, all the better: pick a bunch of items, bag ‘em, and enjoy them on the street, in your car, or at home(mine usually don’t make it into the car). If you don’t like something, at worst you’ve wasted a dollar, or two. At best, you’ll become a regular, as I have been for the past few years. Whenever I’m in Washington Heights, this pastry shop gets my visit. Five stars for being the real thing, real tasty, and real affordable!
