Amy Klewitz is so wonderful! She did my hair and makeup for my April 2016 wedding after she came highly recommended by another friend who recently was married in NYC. At the trial, once I shared a few photos of the hair and makeup I was going for, she perfectly executed on it and made me look like the best version of myself. On the day of the wedding she was even better– a completely calm, fun presence even with 5 bridesmaids, my mom, and a photographer crowding my apartment. My hair and makeup stayed put till the bitter end of the reception, and I just felt so happy and confident all night because I wasn’t worried about how I looked. She’s amazing!

Amy has done my make-​up on two different photoshoots and I’m definitely gonna use her again! She is great to work with and talented at getting your natural beauty pop out. She did an amazing job with my eye make-​up in particular! She was on-​time and professional both times. Her rates are very reasonable. I recommend her without hesitation.

Amy did my hair and makeup for a special event and she did an amazing job! I have had my hair and makeup done a few times in the past, and she blows everyone out of the water. My makeup was glamorous but not overdone, so I still looked like myself, just a shinier prettier version. I am not sure what kind of magic she worked on my hair, but she gave me out-​of-​this-​world volume and curls, which still looked great the next day. I looked wonderful in photographs from that day as well. I would recommend her to anyone!

Amy did an excellent job with my make-​up on our wedding day. She was a pleasure to work with, on-​time, amenable to any changes requested, and a true professional. I didn’t really know what I wanted in terms of my look, and she helped me by asking all the right questions. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Amy did my hair and makeup for my wedding at the end of May, and I would absolutely recommend her! I met with her for a consultation first and I felt instantly comfortable with her. We discussed the look I wanted and she offered very helpful suggestions, like how to get my hair cut so that the style I wanted would work for me. At our trial, she was super attentive to my notes and requests, and worked really hard to make sure I was getting what I wanted. On my wedding day, she arrived right on time and was a total pro. My hair and makeup looked amazing and were exactly what I wanted. I felt beautiful and glamorous, but still like myself – she really helped me find that perfect balance. I’m so glad I worked with Amy for my wedding!

I could not recommend Amy more. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding on 4÷25÷15, and the trial in January. She came recommended to me by my photographer when I was complaining that I couldn’t find a reasonably priced person who was actually good.
Amy is amazing! She’s a fantastic makeup and hair artist — and a really genuinely nice person to be around (which is really important on your wedding day when you might already be stressed). My hair is pretty difficult (fine, short-​ish and very curly) so I was a bit skeptical about how good it would look, but with Amy’s magic, 65 bobby pins and a good amount of strategically hidden fake hair, it turned out absolutely gorgeous. My makeup was awesome — she did an incredible job of not making me look «made up,» but rather a natural, more beautiful version of myself. Amy also did my mom’s hair and afterwards my mom remarked that she wished she’d gotten her makeup done as well. Thank you Amy for all your hard work — you made us both look so great!

I’m a portrait photographer and I have used Amy a few times for my shoots and she has been amazing every time. It’s always convenient for the clients when a makeup artist also does hair so for me she’s an all in one package. Also, she’s very professional and very laid back — she made my clients feel more relaxed and they had a lot of fun working with her!

Amy did my hair and make up like 3 weeks ago, not only she did a great job but she also made me feel very comfortable, it was a pleasure working with her… She has a very nice and convenient space really close to the subway, I came all the way from Astoria but the trip was totally worthy, I received many compliments and felt really beautiful the whole day. Everyone kept telling me that having the same person do hair and makeup was a bad idea but when I saw Amy’s profile I had a gut feeling she would be amazing. And boy was I right! We started with a consultation where Amy listened to all of my comments and preferences, asked tons of questions, and then came up with a look that was exactly what I wanted. On the day of the wedding she showed up a few minutes early, had everything she needed (including a small lipstick kit for me to keep) and perfectly re-​did the look from the consultation (hair and make-​up). She also did the hair and make-​up for one of my bridesmaids and it looked stunning! I would highly recommend Amy to anyone looking for beautiful hair and make-​up for any occasion!!!

Amy did my hair and makeup for my wedding on May 18, 2013. From the moment I met her for my trial session, I felt comfortable with her. Just clicking with the hair/​makeup person was so important to me. She has a really great energy and is easy to talk to. I brought a number of pictures to the trial and she worked with me, doing a few styles, as well as makeup options. I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted and Amy gave me some ideas, but I always felt like I was the one making the decision.
When I emailed her with questions, she always responded promptly. She arrived on my wedding day on time (she came to the hotel I was staying at), had a photo of what we had done for the trial and made sure this is what I still wanted. Again, her energy was just right. She was positive and fun, but was also really grounded.
I would definitely recommend Amy for any bride or bridesmaids looking to have their hair or makeup done. The price is very reasonable and comparable to what I had researched.

I have used amy to provide makeup to all of my headshot clients for the past 3 years and everyone has been very happy with her makeup and hairstyling skills. Amy has always been professional, dependable and a pleasure to work with.

I have gotten my hair and makeup done prior to today, but I just wanted to jump on here real quickly to say that Amy is a joy to work with and really knows what she is doing. She is fabulously priced and has a great personality. She is flexible and I must say that she did my hair and makeup for a function for today and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. I had never had airbrush before and thought I might look too «made up», but she made it look natural and brilliant. I needed a makeup artist last minute for a Freedom Star Accessories photo shoot and voila Amy with air brush equipment in hand saved the day! Even my photographer mentioned how easy post-​production was because of Amy’s work.
