A quintessential and elegant cardiologist with an engaging sense of humour. Handled my issue with aplomb and the highest professionalism. My visit seemed more like seeing an old friend rather than the usual sterile and soulless physician encounter. He diligently pursued all available avenues to arrive at my diagnosis and treatment plan. Without question, the best cardiologist in the City.

I’m quite certain that I’d be hard pressed to find a more caring and informed Doc in the West Village. He put me through my paces with a stress test and he kept me smiling the whole time. I was definitely worried that I was having some serious issues, but after having a clear and unhurried conversation with Dr Gorodnitskiy reviewing my results, I was certainly put at ease. The health of your heart isn’t something you should take lightly, and having a Dr. like Alex to care for you personally, as well access to the Lennox Health system behind him, is a tremendous asset.

I saw Dr. Gorodnitskiy at the Lenox Hill ER in West Village. He had me come up to the 77^th Street practice to follow up.
I did, and irately found out that I couldn’t see him with my insurance, because the HMO I have, while accepted by him, is some sort of confusing «other» classification. I had used Über to get up there on a busy weekday morning, so I was pretty pissed off.
Without a thought to it, he comp’ed the visit, and gave me free samples of a very expensive drug that I was also locking horns with my insurance over.
He pointed me in the right direction in terms of another doctor, and offered to help in any way he could in terms of the transfer of his diagnosis and recommendations.
Despite the annoying insurance snafu, Dr. G handled the situation deftly and professionally. I’d highly recommend him.
