Just moved to Kips Bay from the Easy Village where I would frequent Albions sister bar Drop Off Service all the time. Love Drop Off and Love Albion. They are essentially the same bar with plenty of beers to choose from, a great happy hour and friendly bartenders.

Excellent beer selection. Very laid back vibe. Nice layout with some bright tables up front, a big ass bar and a sunny loungy type area in the back(and a tiny garden). The bartender was extremely nice and the crowd on a Sunday afternoon was very mellow. Definitely want to try to get beer club to come here.

A nice little gem in the midst of Kips Bay madness. They have quite a selection of craft beers on tap, so I was pretty impressed. What was even better is that even on a Sunday, happy hour goes until 8pm. I arrived to meet my party close to 7:30pm and I was still able to try two beers and for Brooklyn prices! I had a Founder’s Red Rye IPA and Greenpoint Harbor Ale. Someone in our party tried the Kombrewcha brew and well if you like Kombucha(which I don’t), then you’ll enjoy it. And yes, they do take credit cards! This is a great chilled out place to meet up with friends. The place doesn’t get too crowded, so you can still hear each other talk. My only gripe is that this area is a disaster when it comes to bike parking. I circled the area for over 15 minutes to find a place to lock up my bike. Sigh, First World Hipster problems…

I remember when this place used to be called whiskey river. It is a nice place to unwind and get a happy hour drink. A nice area in the back too. Definitely come through for a round or two after work or even during work.

Popped into to Albion the other night to catch a pint with a friend before hitting a movie. I liked the inside, on the dark side, quietly large space. The beers were pretty awesome, like other reviews they had a wide selection at an affordable rate. My only issue was that they had a high minimum for cards. I live around the corner and I’d come back

Awesome place! $ 4-$ 6 happy hour drafts, including weekends. Great selection of craft beers and one of the best selections of draft and cask ciders(all gluten free) that I’ve experienced in the city. All the drafts rotate/change periodically. The cute backyard is perfect for warmer days and the actual fireplace inside for the colder ones. Will definitely be back many times.

This place is awful. They don’t honor reservations. Will be losing a ton of business. Might as well close down while they are ahead

NEVEREVERBOOK A PARTYHERE!!! It is a tradition in my school that the graduating class throws a party at the end of the year for everybody to attend, about 60+ people. So it wouldn’t be stressful for us, we booked this place two months ahead of time, our party was suppose to be November 6th so we booked it in September. We walk in and we loved the party area, its two back rooms perfect for the amount of people that would be coming and the bar was attached to the back rooms. We asked about the space because we were interested and the bartender in charge, Kitty told us we could book both back rooms if interested. Also we asked about food and she said we could cater, we even had a conversation on where food placement would be. So ultimately we said we were interested and we asked how much for a deposit and she told us NODEPOSIT. We were thrilled and we booked both rooms. This past Friday, one of my classmates went back to ask general questions, and Kitty pulled out the planner and said«yes we have the back room rented for November 6th.» WHICHISOBVIOUSLYNOTWHATWERENTEDAFTEROURLENGTHYCONVO. She tells him that another party has the front room and we never told them we wanted both rooms which is impossible because a conversation was had with her about catering placement. Nevertheless she informs my classmate that the manager will call him later. He gets the call and now the manager tells us a deposit is now required if we want both rooms(which is fishy because this is saying they’ll cancel the other party if we give them money) and also seemed shocked about the catering, basically not knowing anything about it. Now with three weeks left the bar basically screwed us because now we have to find another bar within our budget. Obviously this bar needs a bartender that’s capable of understanding and COMPREHENDING a simple conversation and who knows how to properly write in the agenda book«party Nov. 6, two back rooms.» Cause that’s so hard right? Well Albion let me tell you this, we are going to brush aside the fact you didn’t even bother to apologize to us and the fact that you seem to conduct shady business in regards to canceling the other party if we pay. Cause we now have the peace of mind knowing that 60+ THIRSTY people who would have loved to spend money, will now never pay to be at your shady bar.

This place is a real find for people who work in this area and want some great craft beer at an affordable price. Their happy hour makes you double take. They have an entire board of beers that are $ 4 for 16 oz. And there are always some great options on this board. As in, stuff you haven’t tried before, tried and true favorites or something connected to an event that they are holding. There is another board with several more beers that are $ 6(still a steal for the area) that includes some hard to find breweries. When I was there last they had a rare Bronx aged pale ale, something from Greenpoint(not Greenport) and a Finback sour. Bartenders have always been pleasant and attentive. Clientele is mostly young people who work in the area.

Happy hour from noon to 8pm and reverse happy hour from midnight to 1am Sunday through Thursdays Not pretentious, but not entirely divey, in my opinion. Clean, comfortable, and has a wide variety of draft beers, including a rotating cider, always Great spot to catch up with friend and have a

Great beer selection and some wine and rosé for the non-beer folk. There’s a small garden in the back and a couple of tvs by the bar. Happy hour is great and daily which is rare since I never see a hh on the weekends. The drinks are cheap for the city so bring cash cause there’s a minimum.

Great place and venue. Charming atmosphere and ambiance, with 4 different seating sections(bar; lounge; fireside; outdoor). The photos here and on FB don’t do the place justice. Great atypical beer selection. Loads of microbrews and small batch brewers. Eclectic and fun music selection. Back tables can be reserved for larger parties. Bar service only though. Same owners as Drop Off Service on Ave B.

The bar is good but if you’ve been here in the last month, check the statement on your credit card. They charged my entire party the same night and then charged all of us again a month later. We had separate tabs that we closed out, so it seems far fetched that they would accidentally double charge multiple cards.

This has got to be the best bar I’ve been to in my life. The atmosphere is great the bartenders are excellent. They don’t have food but you can order from the local eateries. This is truly my favorite spot.

Simple, straightforward review for a simple, straightforward quality craft beer bar! This is my kind of place! Comfortable, unpretentious, with a very high quality draught craft selection including two casks. Good service and good music playing at a suitable volume level in the background. The kind of place I could spend a long time.

I came here for drinks recently on a Saturday night and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised! I was skeptical at first since I saw this place was/still is «Cash Only», had a C rating and was a little empty. My friends and I had a blast. The bar tender/perhaps owner of the place played some awesome music all night. We were listening to some great 90s/2000s music and it brought us all back to when we were all in college. The place is very cozy and had three clean bathrooms! I can’t stress how important that is to me. They also had a few tvs and even an outdoor area which I thought was awesome! There weren’t too many people here, but I think it’s because it’s so new. The prices for the drinks aren’t bad, but please consider taking credit card in the future and you’ll get more business! I wouldn’t mind coming back if we’re looking for a place to hang out on a Saturday night. Even though there weren’t that many people, I loved it since it gave my friends and I space to spread out and just hang out.

Happy hour hotspot! After a Manhattan-wide hunt for a low key bar that’ll serve good beer for under nine dollars, the quest ended two blocks from the NYU Tisch Emergency Department. Coincidence? Multitude of really excellent beers on tap for $ 4, with ample and clean space to sit and drink. This is no Whitey’s South Boston, where cheap beer comes with a distinct risk of getting shived. No food other than for some organic jerky. I suspect that they’re cool with outside food(at least for private events), but it’s worth asking.

Cash-only bar? But you have so many beers… I came here for a birthday party a few weeks ago. My friend is great at scouting out new places and Albion had only been open a month when we stopped by. Beer selection was amazing and they had so many on draft. If you’re not a beer drinker, no worries as they have a full bar, but I was thoroughly impressed with their chalkboard menus of lagers, pale ales, and wheat beers. The only downside really is that it is cash-only. They might’ve changed in the last couple weeks and it’s understandable that a new place doesn’t have a card system in place yet, but still, cash-only bars blow. I don’t know when I’ll be back but if I’m in need of a wide selection, I know just the place!

Great Craft beer spot– lovin the hell or high watermelon for summer. The Sunday bar tender, Brit, is super friendly and will offer you a taste if you’re not sure what you want. They have an outdoor garden in the back– score for summer!
