Quick review: Definitely stay away. Long ‘play-​by-​play’ review is below:
I had emailed the lady Vijay saying it would be my first appointment with her although I’ve had many sessions before with other electrologists. I told her I would come in for the consultation, the patch test (to see how your skin reacts) and maybe a 15-​minute appointment depending on how the patch test went.
When I first came in I noticed that the office looked unkempt and dingy. Going into the ‘exam room’ I saw that the table looked decent and she had put out the paper on the table so it looked clean enough. I laid down per her request expecting the consultation but she was about to start working on me and I had to tell her to wait because I wanted her to provide the consultation and patch test first. I expected her to talk to me about the type of electrolysis she’d plan on using on me because there are 3 types and she told me that she was just doing the normal one. She told me she didn’t think she’d have to explain since I’d already done it before. Very unprofessional! She then proceeded to tell me I looked nervous and I said I wasn’t but that I had expected more of a formal process since this was my first time with her.
She didn’t even have a professional electrologist light, but she did have magnifying glasses.
I told her my problem areas and then she agreed to do the 5 minute patch test. While she was working she would not stop questioning me about my former electrologist almost as if to size up the local competition. When I told her what area my former person worked in, she proceeded to probe asking exact location and the name of the professional and the salon. It felt very intrusive.
She didn’t have any numbing cream and didn’t seem to have any other supplies other than just the machine making it feel more and more like a non-​professional environment. I then asked her what her impressions of my upper lip hair were (i.e. whether I had a lot left, whether it was very thick, etc) and she just said it was there and that it was normal.
I asked her what she would put on the area at the end of the treatment session since most other places have cooling creams, but she said he had none of that and only had aloe vera gel. Once she was done with the patch test she gave me a mirror so I could take a look at her work. I asked her if she had noticed any other areas with black hair and she told me that I had the mirror so I should check. I was like, you’re the one with the magnifying glasses!
Then, I think she got annoyed at my questions (again very unprofessional seeing as how I’m a prospective customer) and she basically told me that we were done and that she didn’t want to do the 15min appointment. I agreed that I thought we should stop there and got off the table. She had then said bye and I had to remind her to put the aloe vera gel on the area because she forgot. She then proceeded to tell me she didn’t do it because it was my fault for getting up too quickly. When she finally got the aloe vera gel out (1min later) she asked me to remind her which area she had just worked on! She couldn’t remember what she had just done!
Seriously one of the most unprofessional electrologists I have ever been too! And her ‘office’ is dingy and looks dirty.
Save your money, your time and your energy and just stay away.

Stay away… this lady is sooo unprofessional. I bought a groupon for six (hour long) treatments. Usually i do my research before I try new services but this time i didn’t and I regret not reading the reviews. I arrived five minutes late because of the train, waited outside the door because she was still with a client. After the client left I knocked on the door when she came out she informed me that I was more than ten minutes late and she had to take it off my session. I told her that I was waiting for her outside because she was still with a client. She told me that she books people back to back and I couldn’t make up my time. My appointment was for 4:15 and she had someone coming at 5:15 knowing that is is my first session and there is usually a consultation period. She told me that she was losing money because it was a groupon and she couldn’t make any considerations. She then told me that I would have to go through groupon to get a refund of my money. Who treats someone like that especially when you are trying to promote your business?

She’s amazing at what she does! Electrolysis can be painful and really uncomfortable but not with this lady! Also when it comes to eyebrows I’ve had some nightmare experiences, my prior technician used to leave hairs all over the place and didn’t like the shape of my eyebrows at the end. With her it was amazing!!! The procedures it was almost pain free and my eyebrows are gorgeous! I’ll definitely will continue going to her!

Agree with what’s been said about hypocritical scheduling. She can cancel weekly (and did) but if I cancel, boom I forfeit appointment and $$. I am writing because I would add, one time I was about 10 min late and she absolutely ridiculed me to my face calling me a «princess» literally and that «we start whenever the princess wants».

Vijay is great. This was the second time I attempted electrolysis. The first time at another place was painful and I could not continue. So a year later and I decided to give it a second try. I used numbing lotion which you can buy on Amazon; just search for lidocaine 5%. My first session was for only 30 minutes to see if I could bear the pain. With the lidocaine I could. Vijay was extremely fast and I noticed the results after 30 minutes. My next appointment was for 2 hours and I was extremely satisfied and also noticed the results. Vijay knows what she is doing and is very friendly and professional ! I am now seeing here for two hours weekly…

Originally I had given a very low star rating for this business, but I decided to revise my review. When I originally tried to book my initial session we had some issues with booking, logistics, and the appointment itself. After I wrote my first review the owner reached out to me and apologized, took responsibility and took steps to rectify the situation. In my book, that shows a lot of character. When I went back and had another appointment, she was professional, accommodating and helpful. Additionally she again apologized for our earlier interaction and I think it shows professionalism to be able to go back and rectify a previously under par situation. I will go back for more appointments in the future, and I’m glad that this situation was improved upon!

this is not the first time i am writing about this business. My review was removed by Unilocal citing It lacks customer «» first hand experience””” if this isn“t a horrible experience with this company then i don’t know what is. I bought 2 –30 minute treatment form this company which will expired on 5÷28÷2015 and paid $ 70.00 for it. the first time i called and scheduled my appointment i didnt realize that i had a doctors appointment on the same day May 2^nd, 2015. i did call Vijay and explained to her what happened and ask if i can reschedule. she did not have a problem to reschedule. I got a text from her that she has to cancel the appointment .All i did was to ask her for another and was told that she dont know when she will have on available. Is this what a person with integrity running a business does. She knows that if the voucher i bought for her expires i lose all my money and she still gets paid. Unilocal your customer support team thinks i dont have a valid nightmare with this WONDERFUL COMPANY YOU SO VEHEMENTLY SUPPORTS. THIS WILL BE THE LAST I POST ANYTHING ON YOUR SITE. I HAVE GREATER THINGS TO DO WITH MY TIME.

Stay away! I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing my groupon! I usually don’t go by reviews as I like to form my own opinion and everyone has a different opinion however I cannot state how accurate these are. The individual who runs this business is incredibly rude, unprofessional who thinks it’s ok to impose a cancelation policy on a customer that she herself does not follow. She canceled my appointment today only to give the reason that it’s ok for her to do so because I did the same last week!!! What kind of unprofessional, incompetent business is she running. And thereafter she went on to state I should request my own refund from groupon! I have contacted BBB regarding her extremely unprofessional behavior and from the looks of a very poor services as well!
I would advise to stay away because she literally is running this as something out of her backyard with no value to customer service whatsoever!

I bought a Groupon here. After reading the bad reviews I decided to give it a try because a lot of people percieve things differently. There are pros and cons to coming here. Vijay was very nice but she did cancel on me a few times. Do I think the electrolysis worked — meh. I can“t tell that much a difference but I know you have to keep going back. One thing that did bother me was her procedure room was dusty and needed a cleaning! Although I think she did a good job, I still don’t notice that much of a f=difference and I’d rather go somewhere cleaner.

I have been seeing Vijay for treatments for several years now and I’m extremely happy with the results! She is always very polite, professional, and engaging. I always look forward to my appointments.

Stay away! I am not even sure she is using the electrolysis machine as I did not hear the beeps and when I asked her she got all weird and sensitive on me. I did not feel comfortable with her and her skills. I think this is the worst experience I have ever had. I wish I read the reviews first.

This woman cancelled on me twice with less than 3 hours notice. I wouldn’t have minded but after reading other peoples reviews I see it is very common. She said she had a family emergency and her dog suddenly got sick. Both valid excuses but 2 weeks in a row. Its a little suspicious as I read she is always canceling with other people. NOT RECOMMENDED

Not recommended. The lady kept canceling my appointments, from one week to the other, with very short notice. When I pointed this out to her she freaked out and started texting very arrogant and offensive messages. The procedure room doesn’t look very clean and nor does the needle she uses. But mostly the person is unreliable and too temperamental.
