Elizabeth was so friendly and nice! Comparatively much cheaper than other hair salons around. Great place to go if you’re looking for a quick trim (like I was) — no call in appointments necessary!

This place is truly hair heaven. Alex is always there, easy going, skillful, and ready to give you just the right look you need. The great thing is, the prices are not West Village prices, and yet the care is really above and beyond what you could expect anywhere.
I would highly recommend this place to men or to women who want to look snappy casual or uptown chic!

Terrible place! They knew I wasn’t originally from new York and they charged me $ 32! Worst money I ever spent.

I’ve been going to Alex for seven years now– longer than I’ve gone to anyone else for my hair. He does my color. I would guess that he’s done it now about 60 times. He always does a terrific job and is a great guy. The price is reasonable and he uses high end products.
I like to go to different places for color, cut and keratin. So I don’t get my hair cut here. But in all the times I’ve been here I have seen so many good cuts from all of the stylists.
If you care more about surroundings than results than this is not the place for you; there is nothing fancy about this place. But the sinks are really cool.

I’ve always had a aversion toward the haircut experience, but after Alex worked his magic today I’m actually looking forward to returning soon for my next haircut.
I walked in with over a years worth of uncut hair in a monster ponytail and only a vague idea of what I wanted and Alex masterfully figured out what would work and quickly made it a reality. Super nice all the while.
They don’t take cards so don’t forget to carry cash.

HORRIBLE!!!
I tried this place for the first time after reading some of the favorable reviews on this site. I get there and tell Alex what I’m looking for and even show him a picture! Lo and behold I close my eyes for a minute and when I open them, I’m shocked to find out that he did the complete opposite of what I asked him to do. I like to let the front of my hair grow out longer than the rest and keep the sides tapered. After I’ve been growing out the front of my hair for months he completely chops it off!!! I was so @$%! upset and asked him what did he do. He then asks me to show him the picture again (too late!). This is by far the worse experience I’ve had with a haircut. Alex seems like a nice guy but he doesn’t seem to follow instructions very well. Then he has the audacity to charge me full price ($ 25). I should’ve tipped him 25 cents! He didn’t even have hair wax which is my preference, he gave me some cheap hair pomade. This was a horrible experience for me and I cannot recommend this place at all!!!

I have been going here for about a year now, and could not ask for anything better! Elizabeth is great — she’s fast and efficient, and does a perfect job every time!

Best. Hair. Salon. Ever. Folks, Seventh Heaven really is just about the best hair place around. They’ll do anything you want (or come up with some clever ideas) at terrific prices and with a smile. I’ve been coming since it opened, and they always do a perfect job. The Village is filled with snooty, overpriced joints that will happily take your money, pour on the phony charm and laugh themselves silly at you once you walk out the door. Do you need this? Really? People, it’s hair. Spending your week’s food allowance on this is unnecessary. You’ll get identical or better results at Seventh Heaven. It’s got a stylish, West Village vibe to it, also, so if that’s important to you you’ll get it. Great prices, amazing stylists who want to make you happy and an easy-​to-​reach-​heart-​of-​the-​West-​Village location. Give Seventh Heaven a try. I’ll bet you’ll fall in love with Seventh Heaven as I did, and make it your go-​to place for all your haircare needs.

I’ve been going to 7^th Heaven for over 8 years now. Alex is a super cool guy, and always gives me a great haircut. He’s always friendly and loves to just shoot the breeze. I refuse to go anywhere else.

Great neighborhood spot. Haircuts are $ 18, and they do a good job everytime. Ask for Junior, he is the best.

Terrible experience. Russian woman chopped my hair with scissors and had no regard for proportion. Then another person had to step in and fix my hair resulting in extremely short hair. Despite my dissatisfaction the man was content in charging me $ 25. Used to come here during the summer, never again.

I’ve been getting cuts here for years without a single negative experience. They do a great job and their prices are very reasonable.

I’ve been coming to Alex to get my hair cut for… yikes…15 years now? He’s always done an excellent job and in the rare occasions that I went elsewhere — an expensive salon job for a wedding, a cut while I was out of town — it’s generally only confirmed that this is the guy I want cutting my hair and paying more or not waiting til I’m back in town is only a mistake.
Worth the trip!

Got my hair cut by Alex and it came out decent enough for the price. Nothing spectacular about this place, but you’ll be treated with respect and won’t leave wishing you had brought a hat with you.
