2 Bridges Neighborhood is located in Lower Eastside(LES) Manhattan. It’s filled with Chinese folks who have brought their traditions from China. I guess you can say it’s an extension of Chinatown. As you walk the streets, you see an abundant Chinese people and their use of the parks. It appears to be occupied with the older generation. However, I was on my guard cause these old people look like they were about to rob my a$$. Anyway, there’s a park right along the water with a view of the BK and Manhattan Bridge. It’s a pretty dope sight. It’s a great spot for a photo op of the two bridges. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could hop on one of those exercise machines. How about you take a picture of you on the exercise machine? Two birds with one stone. Overall, it’s a cool spot to drop by for the view of the two bridges. It’s definitely not a place you want to spend the whole day cause you might get robbed by some old Chinese folks. They’ll go Jackie Chan on that a$$ and start throwing chairs at you. Thug Life.

One of the few low-cost neighborhoods in Lower Manhattan. It is nestled around the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge and it is a waterfront neighborhood with a gritty reputation. Probably not the best place if you want diversity as most residents here are Chinese immigrants from Fujian province. 99% of the stores and signs are in Chinese and Chinese-owned and operated. This is also the only neighborhood in NYC that doesn’t have a Starbucks. However, this neighborhood does have its charms. It can truly be a Photographer’s paradise with unique Chinese culture everywhere you turn. From markets to street scene, people, to street food and Chinese vegetables, you name it. Also, you immediately forget that you are in New York and think you are in some city in China as you rarely see a non-Chinese person here except adventurous tourists and locals like myself. Transportation is served by Subway: F to East Broadway Station and Buses 9, 15, 22. If you want something authentically Chinese, visit the neighborhood!
