Too bad 0 stars isn’t an option. Had a frozen yogurt craving and decided to see how this place compared to the great froyo in LA. Went at noon to find it closed… then now open at 1. How random and inconvenient. Every other surrounding restaurant and shop is open but not them. At 4 was still craving froyo and headed back over to be told sorry cash only today with a flippant attitude. I rather fly back to LA to get froyo than bother giving this place a penny.

The frozen yogurt is fine. OK so a lot of people sample and don’t buy. I am sure it’s annoying and not good for a business. The employee asked me… are you going to buy today or just eat the samples??? She said this location is closing because people sample and don’t purchase. Even if that is true she should of nit been so abrasive with me. All I did was walk in the store. The woman never met me I don’t think. I just walked out. No one likes to be scolded!

my go to 16 handles location. i like the vanilla, nutella, coffee, and seasonal pumpkin spice flavor. toppings are usually very fresh, and the workers are very helpful and friendly. theres also seating towards the back. would recommend this place.

Beyond obsessed with this chain. I probably think about it at least once a week, and wish that they would expand their franchise to LA. They’re also the only place that I’ve seen with that melted-​crunchy-​chocolate-​of-​wonder concoction. Which I’m pretty sure is just a melted crunch bar, but still. Be still my beating heart.

I love this location! It’s clean, not so busy that there’s a line, and the staff are super friendly. I go here all the time and haven’t been disappointed once. Kudos to keeping the toppings bar so organized and clean — other locations will have stuff mislabeled, or mixed in together.

My friend was adamant about us stopping here. They had so many different ice cream flavors which were all so dang good, because yes, I’m pretty sure I tried half of them before I made my decision :).
Fast and sweet. Good for a quick fix while strolling around west village after dinner!

By far my favorite yogurt place to eat at in the city! They have my favorite crunch topping and they always have all the right flavors! It’s also clean and affordable!

I love 16 Handles and go so much throughout the summer. There’s an endless variety of delicious toppings and froyo flavors like caramel, graham cracker, and cookie dough. Even the vegan vanilla flavor is delicious. You literally can’t go wrong! Definitely recommend!

Awesome vanilla bean fro-​yo and the hazelnut nutella froyo is delicious as well. This location is consistent with keeping their store clean and organized. Beware of tourists in the summer on weekends.

If you haven’t notice by now, almost all self serve froyo stores are roughly the same. They have the standard selection of froyo flavors (tart is my favorite) and toppings. There are places to sit which is nice, and there is a small park near by if you want to enjoy your froyo there.
My only complain is that they don’t have a student discount (that I could find) and this makes them much more expensive compared to Yoogler, even though their offerings are exactly the same.

I was surprised at how good this place actually was given how pink and tacky the colors were from the outside. I was dying for a smoothie in the summer heat, and decided to stop by. I got the strawberry banana smoothies, which was pretty good. It didn’t have a creamy taste, but it was my fault because I had them use coconut water instead (you actually can’t taste this in the drink itself). So I think healthy is their schtick. We also got to try the various froyo flavors. I was very impressed! From their mango to their raspberry to the European tart, each flavor was refreshing and delicious. Their creamier options, such as chocolate or soy were not too sweet.
Service was great, and that have an interesting back area that looks a little like a green house.

Went here today and the staff was extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and personable! I was going to go to red mango later this week… But I may be switching now!

The Quick: So many delicious flavors of Froyo and toppings on one of the cutest blocks in the WV… What’s not to love? A few outside seats, the front completely opens up in the summer months, and there’s a cool back room for kids parties. The staff has always been friendly as well. great 16 handles location.

I am a huge sucker for all things frozen yogurt, and 16 Handles is BY FAR my favorite pay-​by-​the-​weight froyo place in New York City. Most of the flavors — ranging from tart to sweet — are spot on and they have different options for people with dietary restrictions (i.e. sorbet/​dairy free for vegans, sugar free for diabetics, etc.). I also love the liberty to customize my froyo based on what I feel, and make it as healthy or indulgent as I want.
My favorite combinations are Graham Crackers + Strawberry with frosted animal crackers, mochi, and some fruits. My favorite flavor is the green tea, but they rarely have that.
Sometimes the froyo machine spits out slightly melted froyo, so that’d be my only negative opinion about this place.

Great flavors, open late, and something for everyone! Love trying out new flavors and toppings here and the back lounge area is nice if you come with a group, although it can get crowded sometimes. It’s also fun to sit at the front stools and people watch!
Honestly it’s pretty average frozen yogurt, but with the wide range of flavors and the fun reusable/​recyclable spoons, I’ll definitely be back when it gets warm again!

Clean, funky place to grab a yogurt, meet with friends, and relax. The back room is chic and unique. The yogurt is good, nothing special from any other frozen yogurt chains. I am a fan of 16 handles, although in this case I recommend going next door to Rocco’s for a much tastier, neighborhood treat.

I LOVE 16 handles… This was my first time visiting this location. It is now part of my Sunday football watching ritual. Dessert for the 2^nd set of games. They had most of the toppings I like (no fruity pebbles or chocolate chips (although I may have missed those)). I got the Euro Tart (which is actually one of my favs… I usually pair with a fruit sorbet, but those are apparently out of season) and Peppermint Candy (this is a MUST GET). The peppermint candy was ridiculously delicious… and went well with my fruit toppings and oreos.
I can’t wait until I go back for more… on Sunday! Fro Yo and beer… the way is should be after a wings and beer lunch down the street.

This is my regular spot. Amazing flavor diversity, friendly service, great seating area in the back for large groups (which keeps the front relatively calm) and never even one handle out of service.
Some yogurt flavors have been softer than usual recently, but I imagine that’s just due to unseasonably warm weather.
Great toppings, always fresh, and do it yourself whipped cream and hot fudge! Yum!

I am in love with froyo. The staff at this location is so sweet! My new obsession is the Greek yogurt with honey, to die for. For real. You would want to sell your mother, or maybe somebody else’s mother for a spoonful of this. Haaa! There is a description on the screen that explains Zeus was fed milk and honey as a baby, so clearly, this yogurt is straight up heavens. Sorry, but the corniness is okay here, i want them to keep that flavor up, they can get rid of the silly sorbets.
