123 Locksmith On 45 Th St 24 Hrs

do not ever use this company!
Here’s the deal… My apartment door locks behind me automatically and I made the mistake of walking out of it for the first time without the key. The doorman didn’t have the key for the door (separate issue). So I called a few local locksmith’s and found these guys.
They show up in about 45 min. and quote me $ 180 for the work. After a bit of haggling, he agrees to $ 150. Then proceeds to start drilling into the lock. 1.5 hours later, he’s in. But he’s unable to replace the lock as promised. He calls a colleague to come, telling him, «don’t call the customer»… me. This second guy actually does call me and the first guy goes nuts, yelling at me to give him my phone.
After that is resolved, the first guy starts making snide comments about how I should be sure to thank the guy coming for the $ 150 price. Then starts yelling when I ask him what he means. The price should have nothing to do with him not knowing how to complete the job. I tell him he can’t yell and talk down to me in my own apartment and I will kick him out of he continues. He storms out leaving me with no lock and the entire lock apparatus on the floor.
When I spoke to his boss, he had already lamely reported that I was rude to him, so he left. Luckily I paid these bozos nothing. They’re complete hacks that don’t have the competence to be in the Locksmith business. And they’re severely lacking in customer service to boot.
Use these guys if you want to overpay for subpar service.
I had to have the building Super replace the lock. All is well now, no thanks to these guys.
