Great place, great atmosphere and great staff. They have great prices on their beers, and there is nothing like a good beer other than the cheap bud and bud light crap, that is a good price. A cold beer on a hot June day it very satisfying, and to enjoy it in this place is just the icing on the cake.

This place has great food and drinks and is a huge bargain. Don’t even try to eat an entire shrimp po’boy — although you will want to because it’s so good. Doesn’t look like much but you will not be disappointed. Try the shrimp and grits!

This was my go-to drink spot during Krewe du Vieux and Mardi Gras. Their Bloody Mary was pretty good, not the best, but good(and spicy)! The thing that sticks out most in my mind about this place was how friendly the staff was. The bartender was so incredibly nice, and he remembered me and what I drank when I would come back for another. It always feels good to know you’re treated like you’re at home at a bar!

The bartender Suki was adorable and so sweet to us! I told her to surprise me and she made a lovely cocktail for me. The bacon and cheese French fries are to die for! And only $ 3.75! thankyou chef Jim for the yummy meal!

They are located right next to the market, we were going on a cruise and needed to eat before we left. The place looked just as good as any. We were looking for breakfast food. Unfortunately the service was really really slow. They were not busy so there should have been a way to accommodate 10 people. Our meals were mixed up and we had a couple of missing items. The bloody Mary’s were very good, that was probably the best part of our experience.

So early in the day we walked by and they had samples of this Cajun pulled pork. It was so delicious & spicy. The flavors lingered in my mouth for hours. So I came back for dinner. Which was great cause the place was dead. So we got immediate service. The silence was so nice. It’s right across from the french market. So during the day it’s kinda loud & busy. So I ordered the Cajun pulled pork sandwich which came with collard greens, they were so good too. I would definitely recommend this place & come back

Best fried pickles in town. They do them beer battered and not the breaded non sense. Met a local there that meets his daily vegetable needs via bloody Mary.

DELICIOUSBAR-FOOD&BURGERJOINT improbably in the French Market. Today was one of those unbearably hot miserable afternoons in a seemingly unrelenting summer. I had the envies for comfort food. Moreover I needed familiar suburban banality, not«cuisine». In short, I wanted a Chili’s…but in the Quarter. I found much better. Casey’s «Tom Foolery Cookery» has a large classic bar food menu(burgers, sliders, salads, quesadillas, wings, etc.) but prepared with some flair and at non-inflated French Market prices. AFFORDABLE! Pretty much everything is between $ 6 and $ 12. Even my huge, ½ pound«Woofford» cheeseburger was made with a bit of virtuosity: top quality beef covered in minced(not sliced) grilled onions, and a generous heap of raw jalapenos(not the gummy pickled ones) that were cut so thinly they were practically shaved. This was an unexpectedly good find. ANDTHEYSERVEBREAKFASTALLDAY! OTHERGREATUNDER $ 10FINDS: Mister Gregory’s, Mojo Lounge, Merchant, Ruby Slipper, Café Nero, Surrey’s, Tartine, Welty’s Deli, 700 Club BUT I HAVEN’T BEENBACK! There are way too many alternatives in the area now that get my dollars!

I enjoyed dining at Tom Foolery’s. The staff was very friendly. We asked for a rather complicated cocktail and when it went awry, they offered us a different cocktail at no cost. I didn’t fall in love with their chicken batter, but the fries and burger were pretty awesome. In this city it is hard to find a place that doesn’t charge inflated tourist prices, but most of the food here is very affordable. The relaxing atmostphere is refershing. Besides that they have televisions and a dart board, and your typical stock of beer and liquors. I would likely eat here again.

The sign said«kid and pet friendly» so, we chose it over other options. With a 2 year old who was tired and hungry, we just needed a place to eat. We found a table and asked if there was a high chair or booster seat, the waitress said there wasn’t. Ok, we’ll try to deal with a squirmy over-tired kid. Thankfully the place wasn’t busy. After ordering, everyone’s food came out, except for the kid’s menu item, a glitch in the computer system didn’t send the kid’s menu order to the kitchen, so more waiting for the kids’ food. The waitress was friendly and apologetic, they didn’t charge us for the kids’ meal, but as far as kid friendly, I would go somewhere else next time.
