I have been a customer for about 3 years. The Kupcake Factory is the only place that we buy cupcakes from. The cupcakes are always delicious and taste just like the flavor. I have not been disappointed yet. The flavors are always consistent, It is always a real treat for the family when we can go and buy a dozen of cupcakes. If there is anything to complain about, it may be that there were a few times that the store was closed before the displayed closing time. I understand that maybe the cupcakes made for the day were sold out. My suggestion for this would be to post that the closing time is contingent on there being a supply of cupcakes left to buy. Also, the owners may want to have a system of communication that lets you know how many people came and could not buy cupcakes that day. This may be able to help you gauge the amount of cupcakes that need to be on-​hand to extend until closing time.

I might have been too harsh on my previous rating; I was angry that they were closed when they should be open. I stopped last night and they more than made up for it. I do love the cupcakes, but I still can’t give 5 stars because it’s never the same cupcake twice – and I don’t mean selection. Consistency is an isse, it’s almost like they use different recipes.
But hey, it’s a cupcake. It’s delicious. Go.

I ordered my wedding cake and grooms cake through the Kupcake Factory. My initial call was greeted by a pleasant staff member who gave my all the information I needed. They were quick to respond and very thorough. I was pretty specific about what I had wanted as my cake and they definitely delivered… literally. The cake was on time, beautiful, and most importantly, delicious. I would reccomend The Kupcake Factory to anyone getting married in NOLA.

Oh dear lord. I ordered a dozen plus cupcakes for my parents’ 55^th wedding anniversary. And while the cupcakes were fine, the service…
First I verified online what flavors they offer on Friday. Then I called this store… and it went to voicemail. I left a message. 2 hours later, I called again. The guy who answered the phone seemed surprised to hear they had voicemail that he was maybe supposed to check.
I ordered the cupcakes and was told that I had to pay in advance. OK. Telling him my credit card number was another bit of ridiculousness since he couldn’t remember the numbers long enough to write them down.
Fast forward to pickup. My dozen cupcakes are ready but the couple extra are nowhere. There is a box on top of mine, but it is empty. They are, of course, sold out of the flavor of the extra cupcakes… wedding cake because y’know anniversary party. The girl just stares at me and says she doesn’t know what to do. After a couple of beats, I just ask for my money back. She brightens and says sure she can do that.
Next time I’ll use a store that actually has employees who care. OTH, they clearly don’t need my business because their display case was nearly empty at 5:15 on a Friday.

A great place for when you’ve got the urge to eat an adorable cupcake the size of your head. I’ve gotten about 10 cupcakes here, and they’re all well decorated and tasty. The flavors can be really fun, but I always like the chocolate ones best.

Good place for cupcake. I got a red velvet flavor，a banana flavor and an extra rasberry flavor cupcake for free with Unilocal！Hope some new flavor can come out soon. Esp the Greentea flavor that I suggested！！！

We happened upon Kupcake Factory after dining at a nearby restaurant and boy was it a score! My German chocolate cupcake was delicious — moist, flavorful and the perfect size. The «gone bananas» cupcake was heavenly and had the perfect consistency. Service was good and prices were just right. I will be back!

The tiramisu cupcake is off the hook! The day old ones are a dollar cheaper but just as delicious, plus I got one for free because I checked in. SWEET! Literally!

Just happen to be in the neighborhood and saw this little place. Went in and was impressed on how clean it was. The Lady was super friendly. Grabbed 2 of everything she had. The ones we tried were great and gave the rest away. Great place with great cupcakes.

Efficient and clean location, fresh cups, selection of about 12 different flavors. Woman working behind the counter was great and there was no line, so we had plenty of time to choose the perfect cupcake! We got 5 varieties and they all were tasty.
I would say some drip coffee and a few tables and chairs would make this more of a destination and bump up to 5 stars!

That’s how I feel after buying two of their cupcakes and than checking into Unilocal to get a third one for free! How could I resist? What an extraordinary check-​in offer when I can get ANOTHER cupcake, any flavor, for free at the push of a button. Anyways, here’s what I got in terms of flavors whenever I opened up the doors to this magnificent creation:

So one of my most favorite things about cupcakes has to be the physical appearance first. Decoration. This one was drizzled with chocolate and had a half-​cut strawberry on top which had to be the most attractive one in there clear casing.
So, for fear of getting chocolate, icing, and strawberry all over my car, I kept all of the cupcakes in my car and drove to the University where I could sit down and enjoy a nice wholesome cupcake, this one being my first one.
As I took a bite into the cupcake, a bit of the cake and icing went into my mouth, and I received the moistness of the cake as well as the tart, yet sweet flavor from the icing. If you’re a fan of chocolate strawberries, this is the cupcake for you. Not only is the icing sweet, but it also gives you a faint taste of strawberry which makes it seem like you’re biting into an ACTUAL chocolate strawberry! How amazing!
Overall, the cakes were so moist and fresh, it seems like everything is made fresh every morning prior to opening. I came at 11:40AM which is ten minutes after opening, and the cupcakes still had a warm texture!
Why no description of the other two flavors you might ask? Well, as with all food, sharing is caring, so I decided to share a bit with my friends at the University! They actually fell in love with the cupcakes and asked me where I got them, so rest assured that the flavors I chose were definitely high quality!

Friendly service. Beautiful, tasty, moist, not too sweet, scrumptious cupcakes. Busy shopping center. Every time we visit NOLA we get a box. These are my favorite cupcakes in the entire country!

It’s my partners birthday and the only request was a Red Velvet cake. Unfortunately, my work schedule isn’t the most reliable. On my way out of work I have a slight freak out session knowing most bakeries are closed. Through a suggestion I was directed to The Kupcake Factory. Best suggestion I have received in a long time! I ordered 8 cupcakes. (wedding cake, carrot, red velvet, and banana nut) All the cupcakes were delicious, nothing extravagant but was on point with the price and met my expectations. I would recommend this place.

I love cupcakes. I had the wedding cupcake and it was delicious, the lemon cupcake was good as well but the favorite for me with the wedding. They are very personable and accommodating.
They are in a plaza but as you enter into the plaza they are the first retailer on the left hand side if you come to.

The cupcakes are really good but what this place does well is cakes. I haven’t had anything bad here and the cupcakes are always fresh and good but I brought a cake for my girlfriend from there (German chocolate be exact) and it was the best cake I had ever eaten. I hate German chocolate cake and I ate three slices of this cake cause it was just that good.

I am a dessert groupie! This place has the best cupcakes in town! It has that homemade taste that other places lack. The wedding cupcake is awesome, but I may be bias since I just love wedding cake! The staff is pleasant as well.

The cupcakes were 1 star «mehs». Nothing about the cupcakes excited me and that’s highly disappointing. They are decorated very nicely but they lack in any type of flavor. At most they taste like box cake mix, a bit dry to taste, but crumbly to touch. The icings all taste the same. I had a strawberry fields and salted caramel. There werent fresh strawberries in the cupcake or icing and the icing was tooooo wet, which I had never experienced EVER! Also, the salted caramel tasted like plain chocolate cake and the icing tasted like the strawberry fields.
Honestly, I’ve baked better box cupcakes on a rainy day. The free cupcake with Unilocal purchase was the only «highlight» and even that cupcake had no taste with wet icing.
Customer service you may ask? Was not present. If you’re in a bakery, you should have some type of positive/​happy personality, however the 2 ladies at the counter seemed unamused in the drab place.
Unfortunately I will not be back nor recommend this place.

The Kupcake Factory is probably the reason I am slightly overweight. A year ago before I started eating their cupcakes, I was a 185 lb lean mean sexy machine! Now I am north of 200 and more of a lovable chunk. As a matter of fact the term ‘Muffin-​Top” should be changed to «Cupcake Top» becaus of this place.
Anyway, none of that matters because their cupcakes are all delicious. Yes ALL! I’ve had enough of them to say this between tasting the ones my kids get and eating all of my own. The Goin Bananas is by far the tastest cupcake I have ever eaten. It may be the tastest dessert. All the cupcakes are moist, the frosting is amazing and you don’t eat them, you devour them! I want one now!
Kupcake Factory has 4 locations and they are all pretty much the same. The place itself isn’t much to look at, the onlyone that is nice to look at is the one in Old Metairie but the cupcakes taste the same no matter where. The also offer minature versions but you have to order them in advance. Also all their flavors are not available every day so check the website for the schedule or just go in and pick a random flavor.
So why only 4 stars? Well the fact that I gained 20 lbs and need to pay 60.00 a month for a gym membership now is reason enought to me.
