They did a mac and cheese night outside of Tip’s Friday and I almost crapped my pants with joy. While I found their buffalo mac and cheese a little odd with the waffle cone dish, it ultimately served its purpose and was the perfect finish(I folded the rest of the mac up in it and went to town). The guys are really friendly and ridiculously patient, especially as late nigh crowds can get a little rowdy and/or belligerent. I’m glad that they keep the BLW(bacon, lettuce & watermelon) on there for lighter fare and it’s also delicious, especially during the summer.

Recently Skillet was invited to setup and serve food for the Chewbacchus Art Show at the Big Top. In honor of the sci-fi fandom themed show they brought out a themed menu. I ordered the Leia Buns: boudin burger sliders served on pretzel buns and covered in delicious toppings. Food was served fast and was amazingly tasty. Other menu items included the Luke Skywalker(a buger poboy) and the droid dog(a hot dog dish). Overall a great meal and perfectly matching the festivities.

Skillet is by far my favorite non-taco food truck in the city. The food is creative, delicious, and consistent. The burger is juicy, savory and perfect, as are the skillet taters. The crawfish gnocchi special was restaurant quality and actually seemed like a bargain for the price. You should search this food truck out for lunch, dinner, and late night munchies of all kinds.

These guys seriously rock! I have been out to their food truck several times now and I have to say, each visit surpasses the last. They are super creative with their menu and update it weekly. I also love how eye catching the truck is. You can see the multicolored glowing lights from several blocks away! Make sure you check out the BLW!(Bacon, lettuce and watermelon) It’s by far, my favorite sandwich they have.

Had them come out for a going away party I threw. They are, hands down, one of the best food trucks in the city. The Boudin Burger is like liquid gold from the heavens. Get one of those and a side of Curry Fried Rice. You will be full and happy. Really happy.

Good stuff. They’ll put a fried egg on anything for a buck… the possibilities are endless.
