This was exactly what this northern Zydeco loving girl wanted to see on my trip to Louisiana! This place was great!!!

Such a great place for bowling, dancing, eating, partying. You can have private parties here which is such a great idea. Everyone should have something to do here. There is always a live band playing later in the evenings and before that they have great dance music playing. I love to bowl, so this is a fun place for me and my friends. Staff is great! You can order all kinds of great food on he menu and you get a little bit of College Inn’s food as an option which is fantastic! Super family friendly!

Recently organized an afternoon gathering here for a friend’s birthday. 2.5 hours, 16 people minimum, $ 30($ 38 if you include tax & tip) per person for nonstop food, drink and bowling? How could you go wrong?! They were super easy to work with when booking the party, and service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

This is a shout out to all the employees this Wednesday last! My boyfriend was pretty sure that he had lost his cellphone during a Tropical Isle/Grapevine employee event at Rock ‘n Bowl the night previous(Tuesday). And yes, he had a great time! We were scouring the outside property calling it from my phone. In other establishments we might have been taken for a nuisance, but each and every worker we encountered was so helpful and sympathetic! Earlier in the day i had called the office manager– a very professional lady– and we were so suprised to learn that all the other inside staff had been informed to be on the lookout: via text message, no less! Never even heard of that kind of system before. One particular gal stands out — and her male cohert, though we never caught his name. Yes, Miss Shay/Shaylynn was so kind as to follow the ringtone(We thought that we were hearing phantom rings by then). She went on another part of the property that we had no access to and retrieved the runaway piece. It must have fallen out of his pocket somehow as it was near the fence. If it weren’t for Miss Shay, Darrell’s phone would have not been found… it lost power five minutes later! Also helpful was Miss Becky. Darrell will certainly recommend others to come to bowl and listen to music. Sorry that i haven’t been to Rock ‘n Bowl since you moved. That’s terrible innit? The both of us avec/sans friends in tow will certainly come back to your establishment. You’ve always an impressive line-up. And now we know — stellar staff! Merci beaucoup!

4 stars for this unique venue featuring a bowling alley, bar, a great stage featuring live music, good acoustics and an ample dance floor and party crowd. Came to see some Cajun Zydeco during the jazz fest and had a blast! Only one complaint… 1 star for the food. DONOTEATHERE! Eat somewhere else first and just come to enjoy the rest. I ordered a burger and it was worse than Mc Donalds! Overcooked, tough like cardboard… the kind of food you’ll wrap up, save and feed to your dog when you get home!

Great place to see a show and dance the night away. We went and saw a local artist«Tab Benoit» and had so much fun we closed the place. Great bartenders and friendly atmosphere!

Live music and bowling. maybe a weird combo but it works. For anyone using a wheelchair/power chair or is a «slow walker» this is one of the most accessible live music venues in the city. Ramps galore, accessible bathroom, even paper towels are reachable. yes very rare in NOLA. Music acts vary, Wed. nights are big band types, for those that jitterbug, swing, etc. Thurs. nights are Zydeco mostly. Weekends large variety of bands that play there. check the schedule. Big dance floor area and seating around the sides for those that need a seat now an then. Also have a grill for late night munchies.

Pretty great venue! Probably one of the best sounding large venues I’ve ever been too, and they have bowling going on in the same room too! Amazingly they’ve done some great sound abatement and you get very little disturbance from the bowling that’s happening in the same large space.

Rock ‘n’ Bowl, a local favorite offers fun for all ages, but be sure to call or book your lanes in advance, as this place is ROCKING just about all the time! Pros: Variety offered within the venue itself. –Bowling! –Music! –Dancing! –Cool merchandise! –Food to purchase on site! –Private event spaces! –Huge, clean bathrooms! –Large, wrap around bar! –Outdoor covered patio! –Gorgeous and spacious indoor alley! –Original murals from the old RNB! Cons: Availability and cost. -$ 24/hour to bowl. So expensive! –Pretty much packed all the time, hard to bowl at peak times since the majority of the time, lanes have been booked in advance for private events. Big thanks to Blake for our visit this last Monday 2⁄22 for giving us additional time to bowl since we had to pause our game a few times for maintenance. I felt like I got my money’s worth on this trip:)

You’d think that a place the size of an airplane hanger that tries to combine bowling, a bar and a live music stage would just be too much– but it ends up being too much fun! We went on a night a zydeco band was playing and had a blast. The drinks were cheap, bowling is always a good time, and the climax was dancing like crazy people on the dance floor and some of our group were even invited to join the band on the stage for the last song!

I guess I can’t really rate this place since I never had the opportunity to actually go in and sit down… This place is like the size of a school gymnasium, and it was completely full to the max. There’s a live band, bowling lanes, and a restaurant inside which was pretty awesome — if everyone and their dog weren’t here.

I had a super fun time at Rock and Bowl this past weekend! There was a $ 10 cover to get in, which is kind of a bummer for a bowling alley, but I suppose the charge was due to the strange 80’s/90’s/00’s cover band that was playing that night. Drinks at the bar were cheap and they have a pretty extensive selection. The wait for a lane was about 45 minutes, but we expected to wait a while since it was Friday night, and didn’t mind having a few drinks before we got to bowling. I really would love to give the place a 5 star rating because I had a great time, but the place very suddenly shut down around 1am — our bowling game turned off before we had a chance to finish all 10 rounds, the lights came on, and the bartenders yelled«LASTCALL, COMECLOSEYOURTABSNOW.» The website said they were open until 2am, so if I had known this was going to happen at 1, I would have come earlier. The end of the night was a bit abrupt and disappointing, considering we were all having such a good time! I would definitely come back for another night, but I wish we could have finished our game and not been ushered out as suddenly as we were.

GREAT Venue for live music and Dancing. We went to dance to Amanda Shaw’s Band, and were impressed by the Fabulous wooden Dance Floor as well as the music. What a fun place! While we were watching the show, others were doing that BUT also bowling, eating dinner, drinking at the enormous bar, or just partying. Great place to enjoy one’s time. Can hardly wait for our 6th visit to New Orleans.

This time I came for a show instead of bowling and my experience was about the same except for one glaring problem. Shows are CASHONLY which means if you dont have cash you have to use a $ 3ATM strategically placed near the box office yet everywhere else in the building takes credit cards. Simply put they gouge you if you dont bring cash to their events. The food menu is just ok bar food at best but the shows are great with great sound and dance floor. With all the free places around town to hear music I dont see myself coming here much but for Tab Benoit it was an exception.

If you’re a bowler do not come here expecting to bowl like you do at a real bowling alley. The atmosphere is great but the lanes are old and I don’t think they even know what oil/wax is.

We came on Zydeco night and had a wonderful time — seemed a little much to have a cover charge plus then some for bowling. To clarify: I live in Brooklyn where we also charge for a band plus to use the bowling alley which drives me crazy… I may be projecting slightly. Ordered food — appreciated the text to let me know it was ready. Bar service was odd — opened a tab, swiped my card but gave it back to me… if I didn’t remember to close it later, I could only imagine the charge they’d have thrown on it. Again, paranoid Brooklynite here. Fun dance party, nice bowling, and chicken fingers. Good Thursday night!

Let me make something perfectly clear; I had a wonderful time at this establishment. I set up a party here, deposited $ 100 to reserve a space with the promise of it being returned to me if I delivered on the amount of people I put down, signed a contract saying the same deal and proceeded onward even knowing that it would be $ 31 per person to attend after tax and gratuity. The live music was wonderful despite the fact I had no say in which band was playing, the food was above average and the drinks kept on coming. The working people were also polite and accommodating with the exception of one instance I couldn’t find them when we needed help, but that was no bother. We bowled on two lanes and less than half the people we planned to show up did. I expected a little whiplash in the bill due to this but what I was greeted with was more like a head on collision with a semi. The bill, in total, was ten dollars short of $ 400. For a total of 8 people, the food, the drinks, and the lanes, I’d say that’s more than a little steep. My advice is to save your pennies and don’t plan to have a party here, just have everyone meet up at this location at a random date and time and eat elsewhere. If you don’t mind that steep of a bill, then don’t let this review stop you from enjoying Rock n’ Bowl, but next time I know to take my business elsewhere.

Crazy expensive draft beer. Even worse… they don’t oil the lanes. I mean at all. Never. The lanes are absolutely dry. My ball hooked into the gutter before reaching the arrows.

Rock n Bowl is awesome on all levels — late night music, mid-day bowling with my 4 year old, and a great bar at all times. The food is quite under-rated as well for a bowling alley. But this place is much more than a bowling alley(and the prices support such a claim). It’s a full bar(with great local draft beer), good eats, good music, and good bowling(with bumpers for the kids). Hard to beat the hours of entertainment available if you can get a lane.

We had a great time! Bowling and live music should be somewhere in every state! We wished so much that they would have this were we live. We got to hear 3 Great Different Performers, each with their own sound for $ 25 per person, it was a great way the Finish Jazz Fest Weekend and I’m sure it will be our favorite new tradition for years to come. Bowling costs were pretty normal, a hourly rate to bowl on a lane, costs for shoe rental was fairly standard and if you forget socks they are $ 2a pair. There is food there prices are pretty good and the food is too.

Love this place. Love the mesh of bowling, dancing, live music, full bar, small kitchen! The girls at the bar make anything you want. The live bands are top names in the biz, and18 bowling lanes so nobody had to wait. Plus a sprung dance floor, although it’s sometimes so crowded there’s no room to dance out, but it’s a nice floor. Food is limited, but they have healthy options and it’s tasty and reasonable prices for New Orleans. Rock ‘n Bowl is always in my go to list when I’m in NOLA!

Not a bad place to unwind after a tough day/week. I have been a few times over the last few years and each time it was the same experience. The food is passable, the music is great, my only complaint is the lanes, they never(at least it seems like never) oil them. DONOT go here expecting to be able to bowl like you would normally. It’s the only issue for me but it’s a BIGONE. Any who, you will be happy as long as you have the right expectations.

Rock n Bowl gets 5 stars from me purely because every time I go, I leave smiling. They have swing/zydeco/Cajun music most nights with dance lessons on Wednesday. The ambiance sets this place apart! Great spot for a birthday party. The food is cheap & good for fried bar food. The drinks are reasonably priced and they have a wide selection. The bowling isn’t cheap & you pay by the hour. But, it’s not enough of a minus to loose a star in my book.

This place is great for large parties or just a fun date night out. Its not too pricey… considering the live music and VERY clean bowling shoes. The drinks are rather basic. Typical beers on tap and in bottle. Typical liquor selection as well. The food is mostly fried but sometimes that’s all you need. They stay open rather late too. While bowling, the time really gets away from you. Its wise to call in advance to reserve a lane. It just makes sense. They get really packed on the weekends. Did I mention how nice their shoes are???

Really outdated bowling alley! This is a new location for an existing bowling alley and I think they just relocated their old equipment too. Balls are chipped, lanes aren’t waxed properly, there aren’t enough kids shoes and the ones they have had holes in them. Good prices but you get what you pay for!

Came back for a bachelor party type event was again pleased. The food(jambalaya and crawfish étouffée) was very good. Except the spinach salad. It was NOT good at all. The bartenders were again friendly and we had a good time. The only drawback this time was the band didn’t start to play until after 9:30, but by then we were heading out.

I’ve been going to rock n bowl since it wasn’t the original location. I have always loved their food, and I recently went there for a rehearsal dinner. It was a Cajun band night and the experience was excellent! Some of the food we ate included their pizza, mozzarella cheese sticks, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, shrimp remoulade, spinach salad, and king cake. Everything(except the salad of course) was served hot and fresh out the oven. While it should still be considered«bar food,» it is very good food. I also had one of my birthday parties in my early 20’s there. I can say the same for then. Excellent service, excellent quality at the current location location over at least an 8-year period. Thank you Rock n Bowl for all the great memories! I always look forward to a great night of bowling and/or dancing at Rock n Bowl! :)

Whether you are coming to see a Great Local Live band(check their calendar, there is always something good coming up, always!), or want to engage in some Cajun dancing(Thursdays are zydeco night), or have been invited to a private party(lots of birthday and weddings are celebrated here!) or you just want to throw balls with your friends, you are going to have a fun time at the Rock N’ Bowl. This unique venue is part bowling alley, part music /dance hall, part bar with some food options. They have something for everyone! There is a smoking porch outside, so this is another great non-smoking live-music venue. While I loved the ‘old’ location and have many fond memories from the years and years of visiting there, the ‘new’ location has somehow taken the general vibe and basic layout of the ‘old’ spot and made it even better!(Hello-electronic scoring devices and ladies bathrooms NOT behind the dance floor!) Rock’N’Bowl is here to stay!
