I’ll keep this short since there’s not much to say — skip this place unless you like watered down light roasted coffee(i.e the old Folgers and hills bros)…

This was of course your run of the mill coffee shop, but not high-end like Starbucks. The latté was fine, nothing amazing and I got a strawberry & cream cheese croissant which was yummy too. The prices weren’t too bad but their people behind the counter were very short, cold, and very unfriendly. I wouldn’t return here if given another option but it’ll do when you need some caffeine in your life. And in reply to Mr Ballard B of PJs coffee: you should be less concerned about me comparing your coffee to Starbucks and more concerned about the fact that you have rude and horrible staffing. It seems to be a trend after reading many of the other reviews.

The location is close to the FQ and the prices are fair for coffee. The service is abysmal, the girl couldn’t be bothered to get off of her a Facebook when we asked her a simple question. It was late afternoon when I visited, the other patrons varied from normal families to a couple of sketchy looking people floating around. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were pick pockets taking advantage of tourists.

Skip it and go to a local shop. We walked past this place on a late Monday in October and figured it was the only place open — we grabbed a coffee and a snack and regretted it, nothing special. We actually ended up finding another coffee shop down the road where we got a good coffee fix instead. Also it was shocking FREEZING inside this place when it was a cold rainy night to begin with. It also desperately needed to be cleaned we saw spills and straw wrappers on every table.

Stopped in this same location twice while visiting. Had the dark brewed coffee each time. Perfect for me. I love a good, hot, strong cup of coffee with cream. Perfect!

Overpriced for bad coffee. I ordered a simple café latte and it tasted burnt. This was surprising to me since every beverage and food establishment I’ve visited in New Orleans had been an amazing memorable experience. My friend ordered an iced café mocha and it was way too sweet but she didn’t seem to mind it as much so maybe it was just mine that I had. So no more café lattes here for me!

Eh it’s ok. Not anything special here in terms of in-house design or structure. It’s a plain commercialized coffee shop like Peet’s. It’s great because it’s the first thing open in the crack of morning. I had a pretty good time just sipping my dark roast which is ok, and reading the news. I do like the bright cherry red, purple, and dark brown furniture. The colors of the room really stick out. The menu is also bold and clear for reading.

Stopped by here to get some iced coffee and try out this New Orleans chain. I got an iced praline latte which was really good. It’s not actually sweetened with syrup, it’s just a praline roast which was interesting. I also got a cake ball which was delicious. The server was friendly and atmosphere was nice. They’re all over NOLA so easy to find.

A dreary and rainy day in New Orleans so, what do you do? I decided to pop myself into this coffee house and enjoy a cup of Java while watching the rain in the French Quarter. The coffee: My iced coffee was strong and flavorful and made the stop worth it. The view: Made my stop even more worth it. It’s an old style French Quarter storefront with the window seats being just what you would expect. Special bonus to them because I was actually able to charge my phone in an outlet before heading to my next destination. Another bonus because they had the best 90’s tune collection blasting over the stereo that I have heard in a while. Clean bathrooms are hard to come by in the French Quarter but, miraculously they had them! Kuddos to this place for quality, service, music and being a place I will make sure I visit again for my coffee fix!

I realize that when you have a shop — any shop — in the French Quarter, you will be undulated with tourists. I live in a tourist town, so I know how annoying tourists can be. That being said, to the guy behind the counter that looked like a Jersey Shore bro-dude…you are still a member of the service industry, so when two well mannered and polite tourists come into your coffee shop to get two large lattes, a muffin and a croissant, there really is no need to cop a shitty attitude and be a total jerk. We merely placed our order, and the guy gave us several dramatic sighs and was in general super snippy with us. How do I know that it was directed at tourists? Because it happened to the 3 other(obviously tourist) people in line behind us. But then, when a guy wearing a chef’s uniform dropped in to get coffee, the bro-dude guy immediately perks up and is totally nice and friendly and helpful to him. Once that guy places his order — he returns to being a total dick to the poor(tourist) lady after him. I’m only giving this a one star bump because the coffee was tasty, as were the pastries.

This is exactly what I needed on a hot and humid New Orleans day. I’d been walking around the French Quarter’s antique shops for 2+ hours now and a break was needed. I didn’t want to go anywhere too expensive just to get something to drink, and a street vendor was out of the question because some cool A/C and a bathroom was also required. PJ’s was on the same side of the street I was on and it looked promising, so I decided to check it out. It was perfect. The A/C was on full blast, the bathroom was clean, and the service was quick. I ordered their granita and it was pretty good. Nothing too special about it. It’s a nice drink stop in New Orleans though.

You have the day shift at a coffee shop in the French Quarter. Yes, it is a Thursday mid-afternoon and there is no-one in your shop. I came in with two friends visiting from out of town. I am sure that there are other places you would rather be. But your short snippy comments to us will not go unnoticed. I am sorry if you are having a bad day. I am sorry for asking for beverages because we want to sit down for a few minutes. The inside was freezing and so was the frosty service.

The cranberry orange muffin was good along with my latte. I frequented the café about three mornings in a row for my morning coffee. My first experience was pleasant due to a nice man who took my order. He greeted me and said thank you. Now let me tell you about his co-worker. Some cat who was tanned and has a bad ATTITUDE. OMGOD this guy never said hello, never said thank you and had the worst friggin tude. I watched how he greated another MALE and he was very pleasant with him. I almost asked him did I do something. WTF… he really had the worst customer service ATTITUDE ever. We have a couple of more days left in NOLA and I will be going to another PJ’s. For the service of that jerk he gets a super negative zero. The food is 4.

I ordered an iced coffee and an ice water after walking all day in the 90+ degree weather. The atmosphere of the shop is quiet and nice, although I noticed that the AC was turned on so high, it must’ve been a chilly 70 degrees inside of the shop. The iced coffee was okay, a little sweeter than I’d like. I sat in here for almost half and hour, but left when I could not longer bare how cold it was inside. I’d come back to try the hot coffee, if I was going to sit inside again.

Enjoy much more now nice mix of locals and tourists. Coffee good and nice assortment of pastries, quiche, and other breakfast options. Owners are hands and that always makes a difference these days

Not exciting but did it’s job. We had to kill some time, so swung in here for some coffee and a snack. Nice location in the French Quarter. It was quiet and the inside was pretty generic. We easily snagged a table. Their iced coffee was pretty good. I also picked up a sausage biscuit, but it had a bit of a «fast food» taste to it. Staff were nice enough. If I lived in the area, I could see myself grabbing coffee here on the way to work because of convenience– other than that, not too exciting.

I ordered a latte and it was good. I prefer my coffee strong and it was without being bitter. I hate watered down drinks. Service was efficient and the line moved fast.

Hot chocolate was good. We popped in on 01÷04÷15 and he ordered coffee and my hot chocolate. Coffee was ready fast. My hot chocolate took slightly longer. I noticed few others received their and I still had not gotten mine. She quickly made my hot chocolate and handed it to me. They place is small and has limited seating, though there are plenty of places within walking distance including Armstrong park. Parking is limited and careful of their not too noticeable no parking signs. As we were leaving we heard music band, it was a nice way to wrap up our Sunday before heading home.

Good coffee and nice selection of pastries and muffins. The sandwiches in the cooler look old, but no worries because there are tons of good food spots in the Quarters.
