Great atmosphere. Not too loud. Food is great. I love the pork shoulder. Service is not rushed. Been here 5 times and always had a great experience.

I went here Saturday night after a parade and just sat at the bar. I got the burger and fries. I asked for it medium. It was cooked to perfection. The white cheddar cheese on top could have been melted a tad more. The fries were cooked perfectly as well. My friend got the red fish and I tasted it. Very fresh and delicious, but seemed like a very small portion and no sides for $ 28.00. I will return.

Best restaurant in Lakeview, and one of the best in the city. Everything we have tried on the menu is excellent. Only complaint is that their hours on the weekends aren’t always consistent. Sometimes open for lunch, sometimes not. But awesome when they are there.

This restaurant has a great balance of delicious food, fancy atmosphere, and a relaxed neighborhood vibe. The dishes are creative. Each one perfectly crafted for flavor, texture, and color. There is a bit of something for everyone here. The lamb is my favorite. The portions don’t look like chain-food steakhouse nonsense. Don’t be alarmed, though, there is really enough to share. Trust the menu. Everything is delicious.

I have been here a couple of times in the past, but could not remember specifics and wanted to give it another chance. I was not disappointed. The parking lot in front is shared with the other store fronts in this small strip mall. There is parking in the neutral ground on Harrison. There is also parking on the side of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is neat and clean, the wait staff have all been very friendly. Please be warned that the dining area only opens after 5:30 pm with a full, albeit changing, menu. I am unsure what time, if at all, they have a full menu for brunch or lunch. The bar area serves appetizers and alcohol before 5:30 pm. Last week, I came for happy hour, sat at the bar, had a drink and the pizza. The service is wonderful, the drink was poured with a heavy hand and was very good. The pizza was thin crust but not overly crispy. The bar area can be on the chilly side in the winter due to the setup of the doors, so if you sit there, you might want to bring a sweater in the cooler months. This week, I came in for dinner, sat in the dining area in a booth. The booths, you have to step up to get into them. The service was very friendly, everything was neat and clean. The waitress was very friendly, patient and detail-oriented when describing the dishes. I had the fish of the day with eggplant and spaghetti squash. Dinner comes with a single slice of fresh made bread and melted butter. Everything was perfect. The dish was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic date, or for any special occasion. I look forward to coming back for special occasions.

We had such a lovely girls dinner there. The food was top notch. I had the grilled drum which was the fish of the day, so not always on the menu, but amazing. The warm Gorgonzola for starters was out of this world. Large beer and wine selection too. My friend had the burger. I wish I could have eaten more. It looked insane. Highly recommend if in the Lakeview area.

BLUF: Solid place but not drawing me back. I had heard they have one of the best burgers in town and amazing pizza. We went just before 6 and it was pretty crowded and stayed crowded. Service was fine. Waitress was nice and let us build our own pizza even though that is not an option. That being said they left off 1 of the 3 toppings we asked for. Oh well. The pizza is thin and wood fired but not crispy like one would expect. It was good but nothing that exciting. We also got a burger with white cheddar(only 3 – 4 cheese options). Got the burger medium rare and it was cooked perfectly but again just not that exciting. It was definitely a good burger that I really liked but just wasn’t enough for me to tell my friends about. My wife got a hot buttered rum drink that she really like. My ice water was on fleek. Place was good with almost nothing wrong with it. Just didn’t excite me.

Have been here twice in past 10 days. Bar is very warm and inviting. Bar staff attentive and friendly. They keep their bottled beers very cold. Deviled egg appetizer is amazing — three different flavors. The Mondo burger is large, prepared to taste, and well seasoned. Fries appeared to be fresh cut and very well done. Same issues as other restaurants on Harrison; be patient and walk a half block if you need. Worth it. Will be back

Inefficient, incompetent and intoxicated was our Saturday night experience with one hour elapsed we received appetizers only; blessed the server she tried to save it but could not bail out the kitchen. The funny thing is the restaurant was half empty. No management was insight and when made available it appeared he was drunk had no words to offer except hope you come back and Happy Holidays. What a sad narrative for such a restaurant …

This was my third time eating at Mondo and it’s been a consistently positive experience. The service was friendly and attentive. They had a little trouble with one of my drinks, but remedied it right away. We got the pizza special for the day as an appetizer– it was delicious. Expertly prepared and cooked. My fiancé and I shared the pork shoulder and the short rib entrée. They were both delicious. Tender, flavorful meat. Delicious sides. While the prices can be a bit high depending on what you get, a good quality meal is worth it! I’ll be back again :)

Good variety of flavors being used on the menu here. The Latin spiced roast pork and the Korean flavors of the beef short rib entrees were both really tasty. The signature cocktails are really good too, though they seemed to have a bit of trouble with my fiancé’s standard dirty martini. They also have really good pizzas from their wood burning oven. For dessert, the chocolate almond torte was a slight letdown, but overall a very good meal.

Came here very recently with a friend. We shared the steamed buns with pork, which may have been the star of the evening. My duck breast was perfectly cooked with a wonderful crispy skin on it. The supporting cast of fingerlings and creamed spinach was great as well. My friend loved his burger. Staff was attentive and didn’t detract from the meal. Overall, very good. I’ll be back. Next time, probably for the burger or one of those amazing looking pizzas.

Went for lunch. Nice cozy atmosphere. Susan Spicer’s menu was delightful! Next time I will try a pizza! Had the special which had two PERFECT pork spring rolls, fried rice, and broccoli. Not a large portion for $ 12 but the quality was there. Cuban sandwich was delicious as well. Great place for a casual lunch. Excellent service. We will return.

Don’t come here. Was going to try the Cuban sandwich for lunch. Sat at table in the bar with other patrons and was completely IGNORED. No menu, water, NOTHING. Shittiest customer service ever. I even asked for a menu and still IGNORED. Mondo can suck it.

We stopped here after getting into New Orleans and realizing we were starving! We sat at the bar and ordered a few little apps/tapas: Brussels sprouts, broccoli, patatas bravas, and the lamb ragu special. All of the sides had different delicious sauces. Our server(the bartender) was present but not pushy, and friendly with everyone. Great atmosphere. We’ve been for brunch before, and I remember it being very good.

Great atmosphere. This was my first time I had the pastrami on rye and it was very good. Perfect portion. Our server was good and attentive and explained the menu. My only issue was the host took his time to set up a table when there were tables set. I realize that there is a rotation but at the very least explain that before slowly setting a table

What a fantastic Sunday Brunch! Susan Spicer is spot on with a truly creative, New Orleans take on classic brunch foods… I had the Crawfish Benedict — amazing and perfectly flavored hollandaise sauce. My wife had the BBQ Shrimp and Cheese Grits — absolutely perfect. Dessert was a slice of heavenly Coconut Cream Pie. This was a memorable brunch with perfectly prepared food. Hadn’t been here before, but will definitely return!

Wonderful food, service, and did I say food? We had the steamed biscuit wrapped pork appetizer. .best thing I ever had in my mouth! The skirt steak was perfectly cooked! The green beans could have been thinner or more cooked or french cut, prefer thinner.

Dang, l really wanted to give this place more stars and start off with a good review but I mean from the moment we walked in until the end I felt like the servers and the bartenders were a tad bit rude. the hostess with the long, orange reddish hair(think she had orange reddish hair) was nice and said it was okay to sit by the bar area. I just got off of work and was in work out gear and my bf was in loungewear which isn’t appropriate to wear in a restaurant like this, «period,» but she was very sweet. upon sitting down, we waited until a server just plops me is down in front of me and continues to waltz away without so much as a «hi there someone will be right wit you» or anything. rude. that put me in a bad mood and if it’s one thing I can’t stand is rude servers bc I’ve been in the food and beverage service industry for 10 years. it’s like you kind of have a standard now bc you know what it’s like but it wasn’t even busy so please, no excuses. then the server who is also one of the bartenders, took our drinks orders and seem nice at first but that seemed nothing more than a front. we wanted to order some small bites for starters and my bf ordered the ceviche but I was like ehh no maybe not the guy literally slammed his hand on our table, pen in hand and all, and i was so startled I was just like okay never mjnd we’ll just get that. and he faked a happy-go-lucky tone like«okay let me just go ahead and put those in for for you.» man I never felt so disrespected like that in a restaurant like this, like wow. I went from uncomfortable and shy to a bunch of cuss words running through my head and if was just like wow that’s so rude and upsetting like at Least keep your cool and then go to the back and relieve yourself. so I bit my tongue, at that point I had no smile, straight up pissed up face when I ordered wit him. the food was wonderful though on the other hand, like I hate that Mondo has such wonderful but bad service. everything we had was really good. I mean … if it weren’t for the food I would’ve left zero tip. seriously. and I hate to do that bc I feel like all servers deserve at least some percentage for tip regardless bc we get paid 2/hr(majority restaurants). so anyways, aside from ceviche, we had the Thai shrimp and meatballs, the pepper shooters, warm Gorgonzola cheese appetizer for starters. then the bf had the lamb with cous cous I had the pork shoulder with black beans. both were DELICIOUS! so tender and delicious I had I savor each bite. but it seems we both favored the other’s plate more. yeah so even though he was«acting» nice the entire rest of the meal(probably only bc we did whatever we could to avoid having him come back to our table before we irritate him again over a typical humane mistake like changing our mind making him have to scratch off the item on his little order ticket secs later) we tipped him more than 20%. the food was delicious which saved him from gettin zero on his tip. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s laughing acting like he doesn’t care reading this. judging by the way him and the other bartender were talking and conversing about whatever issues they were dealing wit the restaurant that evening at the bar, I can say that. I really wanted to give this restaurant only 2 stars but the food was just really good.
