Cheap large iced coffee($ 2.35). I wish they had almond milk, but I can deal with the soy. I’m a fan of the bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel.

LEGALPERKSTAKE-OUTTAKEAWAYS: 1. A good option if you happen to be hanging out at Central Lock-up across the street, but 2. The lone guy(owner?) behind the counter can be surly, which is probably why 3. The queue is so incredibly SLOOOOOOOW!(a good 4 – 5 minute wait per customer), but the coffee prices are among the lowest in the city, e.g. a 16oz Iced Coffee: $ 2.35! 4. Today my pressed«Hot Boy» sandwich was generously stuffed, and with a side totaled $ 9.27 after tax; yet sadly 5. The scalloped German potato salad with dill could be one of my favorites… except that I don’t like dill. 6. My friends that work in the area prefer«Best Life Pharmacy» around the corner where you can get a healthy meal at a lower price with larger portions.

They make quality crafted espresso drinks! I am really particular about espresso, and I am always impressed with it here. The sandwiches are okay — particularly the Cali Club with the chipotle mayo. They are made freshly to-order and are quite large. They are crazy expensive though for NOLA.

Nestled in the urban decay of Tulane and Broad, Legal Perks is an oasis of made to order freshness with really friendly service. PROS: — A great selection of sandwiches but the owner is always willing to make you something special — Really incredible tuna salad — Fresh fruit — Mexican coke — Water in a huge jar near the register that is always infused with something… lemons… oranges… etc. CONS: — No diet coke, :-/what can I say, I love my space sugar. There are vending machines directly outside Legal Perks if you are really jonesing that bad.

I love the Legal Perks café. The guy behind the counter is really pleasant, and makes a hell of a latte. Prices aren’t bad and the food is really decent for a little office-block café. There’s not much else in the area in terms of places to get a coffee and a sandwich, but Legal Perks is perfect. It’s tucked away in the Tulane Tower and isn’t well-signposted, but it’s worth going in there to find it.
