Krewe of Ancient Druids Parade

Another great Uptown night parade. I wish they would get the lighting a bit better on some of these floats though. Druids is the super secret parade that reveals nothing until the parade actually rolls. They even cover the floats with tarps as they travel them before they load.
Best catch: colorful dolphin and turtle
History: Established in 1998, the Ancient Druids take their name from priest class of ancient Celtic societies who connected their people with the gods and nature.
The theme, design and construction details — as well as the names of royalty — of this secret Carnival organization have remained under wraps all year. All will be revealed when the parade rolls.

Funny, they didn’t look Druish…
This is one of my favorite parades because it is shrouded in secrecy, it starts all the way over on Jefferson and travels along Magazine (meaning it starts a mere few blocks from my house), and because I feel a bond with it only other World of Warcraft players would know (meaning I miss my days as a dancing bear/​cat/​sea lion/​tree/​giant fat ass horned owl beast). No I won’t throw you a heal… I’m pretending I’m a rogue for elf sakes! *scratch* *claw* *swipe* *dead cat*
So apparently, the Druids are a parade only Krewe. No bal masques (masquerade balls) for them. And you know why? Because druids are not lacking in balls. When we shift to travel form to run away from a fight, we’re doing you a favor.
Their membership is limited to 200 members, all from other Krewes. They are like the all-​star team of Krewes, with one super secret Archdruid above all, watching them with his Archdruid eyes, most likely specced feral so he can solo, like a boss.
Damn it. This review makes me want to log into WoW… not gonna happen WoW… you have no power over me anymore. I’ve been clean since 2007 and will remain so. I don’t care if you have an entire parade to remind me of my days as a Night Elf Druid.
Oh well. Now if they had a Krewe of Shamans, that could be dangerous…
