Horrible is all I can say. Mound of food but chicken and rice were both slimy. $ 20 for both me and my wife. Saw no less than 4 roaches smashed on the floor and on the walls near our table. The meat tasted nothing like chicken. I tried to give leftovers to a homeless man and he declined once he found out where they came from.

Well, after eating fried food for 2 days I decided to try something different, so I went for the nearest Chinese joint by my hotel. I looked up reviews on Unilocal to this place and it only had 3 reviews and all of those said this place serves a lot of good Chinese food for the price. As I’m paying for my order I’m looking down the kitchen and something catches my eye by under the deep fat fryer. It looked like a tail but I thought I was imagining a rat. I keep my eyes directly under the fryer and a minute later… out crawls a black rat from under the fryer and goes right back in. No JOKE! So, eat at you’re own discretion… The food… there IS a lot of food on your plate. And at this point you might be asking yourself, «hey guy, you still ate the food after seeing a rat in the kitchen???» And the answer is Yes ladies and gentlemen, I did eat my meal. It was ok but not that great. So, save your ten bucks and eat elsewhere

This is my absolute FAVORITE cheap chinese take out!!! The General’s Chicken is GREAT and their Crab Rangoun(sp?) rocks! You can’t go wrong if you are craving some really wonderful, really bad for you but so delicious that it’s worth it, Chinese food.

Great Balls… I dont like to give out 1 star reviews but this place was pretty awful, almost everything we had was nasty. The only thing they didnt make totally awful was some broccoli in general tsaos sauce so maybe thats ok here. The fried rice also was manageable but its tough to mess up. The soup was a watery oily mess, the mongolian beef was tough and stringy and the lo mein had no seasoning. I also wasnt feeling too good after I ate all this after a bad decision to get lunch here post hangover. Stick to the other chinese food place thats in close vicinity on canal street.

BALLS this place was good! Hubby and I stopped here on a whim and I’m so glad we did! We got takeout — they also have a delivery and a dine in option. I would not suggest dining in — the place is small, with little ambiance. The lady at the counter was a total sweetheart, the service was excellent. I got the vegetable egg foo young and since I’m vegetarian she suggested the brown sauce instead of the gravy which was amazing. Hubby got chicken fried rice and we also got an order of spring rolls and 2 sodas. It was all delicious, the portions were gigantic and the total came out to under $ 20 — score for being just off Bourbon street where food is notoriously overpriced. This is my new spot for takeout Chinese in NOLA!

CHEAPCHEAPCHEAP mounds of food. that’s the best i can say about the place. it’s ridiculously cheap and you get a load of grub. i got a small order of veggie fried rice and it literally weighed at least three pounds! set me back a whole $ 4.20. wow! i wouldn’t build my evening around a planned visit to the great ball(seriously — great BALL?!). BUT it certainly serves its purpose — especially if alcohol has been involved!
