Was really looking forward to lunch here today. Showed up at 11:15& no one was there. Says you open at 11:00. Doors locked, all tvs and lights were on. No one answering the phone. Really disappointed! Was here on a recommendation from a friend and the burgers looked great! Helloooooo, is anyone in there? –girl seeking burger

Got a burger, fries, and a fountain drink for under $ 6. Really good burger made with obviously fresh ingredients. The bread was amazing. Honestly so much better than BK and I paid the same amount I would have over there. Place was empty and the staff seemed wayyy too excited I was in there which was kind of sad. Décor was pretty cute.

Something kind of new for an area that’s need’s more than BK… McD’s. Stopped by just to check there times. Man in front smoking a pipe said it’s only a little early but you may go in. Talked a while with him, decided to get something and entered. That was the only good part of this visit !!! Got the French onion burger combo and to be polite I’II say one bite and I put it in the trash. Looked like it was frozen, cooked one side fair and the other side maybe touched the grill. I doubt it ever touched the grill. Maybe just forgot to flip. As I said in the trash not to make a seen. Going out man with pipe again, nice, asked why I did not have anything. I told him it’s in the trash. WASN’T COOKED !!! He said rare I said RAW, check its in the trash. All he said was«OH». If was manager and or owner I do not have to tell more… A PLACELIKETHATMAYONLYMAKE A FEWMOREMONTHSANDWILLBEOUTOFBUSINESS… My bad luck, trying to help on small business Saturday. Wish I had checked reviews first, MYLOST !!! Although retired with several fishing friends looking for a new place to eat… I say there lost !!!

Not bad. Definitely overpriced for an average burger. Bread was too big for the meat, and seemed a little cold as if the bread came out of the refrigerator. Bread also broke apart. I went there with my mom and she ordered onion rings. She must have gotten literally 5 onion rings for $ 3, ridiculous. Will not be going back.

There’s a story that Robert Downey Jr. likes to tell about how, after years of problems with substance abuse, he turned his life around. In short, after partying for far too long and far too hard, he felt like going out for a burger. He went to Burger King, ordered a burger and, upon beginning to chow down, he just stopped. After a quick realization of what he was eating, he asked himself«what am I doing with my life?» It was after that moment that he decided to kick the drugs, cleaned up his life, and went on to make the Iron Man franchise. There is no way that RDJ’s Whopper was as bad as what I had at Go Burger tonight. I ordered only two things; a BBQ bacon cheeseburger and loaded tots. The burger, at first bite, was ok. The meat tasted like meat. The BBQ sauce tasted like BBQ sauce, and so on. Then, when I was about two-thirds finished, it seemed like all that was left were masses that were drenched in some sort of cheap oil. Seriously, I may as well have been dipping the thing in a bowl of Wesson 100% canola oil. For some reason, I soldiered on and finished it. At that moment, I would have given it 2 stars, maybe 3. The tots! Unfortunately, they weren’t tots. Instead they gave me fries. Too bad I didn’t check the bag’s contents before I got home. If I had, I would have noticed that not only did I get fries, but they were well under-cooked. At least they didn’t forget the ‘loaded’ part, so I still got my bacon bits, chives, sour cream, etc. This time, the presence of oil was even more apparent, certainly due to the lack of time the fries spent in the fryer. Again, I ate the whole thing because I’m a pig. 2 stars. A few minutes after I finished, the feeling and taste of that cheap oil started creeping back up my throat, into the back of my mouth. I’ll spare you the details, but it wasn’t long before the burger and fries soon followed, quickly making their way to the surface of the nearest commode. Remember those 2 stars from earlier? I take them back. Fantastic job, Go Burger, you made me puke! You’re in an exclusive club with only one member!

Wanted to like this place because it’s close to work but they got my order wrong twice and the burger was like a brick. Place seemed to be set up without a lot of care, like they aren’t really in it for the long haul. Not sure I am willing to give it another shot.

Stay away. Went here for a burger and shake on my lunch break. They were OUT of burgers and shakes. Ended up going with the chicken sandwich combo with tator tots. Tator tots were seasoned well with salt and pepper. The chicken was cooked well and the bun wasn’t soggy like previous posts. Total bill was $ 10. I can’t give a burger, fries and shakes joint a good review of they don’t have burgers or shakes. For the amount of money you will spend here… it’s not worth it.

Yes, this place is open. I know it’s impossible to tell from the outside as they only have one very small«Open» sign. The cashier was very nice but when we asked how much it was appropriate to tip, she said that they didn’t receive any of the tips. The burgers were mediocre at best and rather expensive. They were out of a number of ingredients. The fries were pretty good. After receiving the bill, it made me nervous that a number of the prices had been left blank on the menu board. Overall, I’m not sure if I’ll be back. I might try it in a couple of months when they’ve had time to adjust. The place mostly seems to suffer from inadequate management. I’m not sure how easy that is to fix.

I tried this place the first week they opened. They only took Credit Cards if they could write the number down. Also they had no shakes, no lettuce or tomato, no Chili, etc. I decided to give it a month and try again. Tonight I passed by many places on my way home. When I arrived at Go Burger at 7:48pm( Unilocal Hours say open to 9pm) I found a closed sign. It seems like a great concept but Go Burger may need a little more time to find their rhythm. I am now headed back to Mid-City to Five Guys. I could have already eaten had I stopped their first. Hoping Go Burger improves because it is a welcome sight on Robert E. Lee.

I live about 5 blocks from this location, and didn’t even realize they were open until just a few days ago. I like the set-up and the fact that it is neat and clean. I ordered the cheeseburger combo with fries. I like the size of the burger, but they seemed frugal with the fries initially. The burger-bun ratio is off. I like to not have one or the other still around when I am done, and I had excess bun when the burger was done. I think it needs to be served in a larger basket or plate, as I don’t want to just hold my burger, I like to be able to set it down, as I am usually reading as I eat and the small basket made it difficult to put down without it falling apart, or pick it back up without more damage. The burger was messy… grease and condiments running off and down my hands, and the napkins were the cheap, non-absorbant kind. The fries were the shoestring kind and were good. Again, a bigger basket to be able to put a squish of ketchup on it without having to put the ketchup on top of the fries would be nice. The fries at the bottom were heavily salted, as if the salt was not added until the fries were in the basket. This area is screaming for more of a variety, and I am glad they are here, but I do not think they will last without some improvements and advertising.

By far one of the worst burgers I’ve had was from Go Burger. After waiting 40 minutes for my to-go order, i received two burgers that left alot for the imagination to conjure. But the worst part is my loaded fries consisted of fries with a sprinkling of cheese and a couple pieces of what looked like chives. The fries were so soggy with grease and floating in grease that i could not rat them.

Maybe they just need more time. Went there Saturday night about 2 hours before closing. Ordered two burgers and fries. Meat was overcooked and tasted like it had been frozen. The burger patty fell apart in clumps. As others have mentioned, the bun was completely greased through after a few minutes. Had no desire to finish the burgers. Fries were equally unremarkable. Want to like this place and support the neighborhood but you can get far better burgers almost anywhere in this town.

Got the blackened chicken sandwich. Its really really good. The chicken has a very nice seasoning & its a good portion for $ 6.00. Add an egg to it too.

Go Burger was a No Go! I had super high hopes since the area is screaming for more places to dine. Two burgers with sides and a drink was almost 30 bucks. Ridiculous! Had we known adding bacon would be $ 2 we would have opted out. Fries and tater tots were pretty good but the portions were a bit skimpy. Not sure what type of seasoning was in the burger but something was a bit off. Word to the owners… get a bun that can hold everything without sogging through after one bite! Sadly I will not be adding this place to my dining rotation in the Gentilly area.

I wanted to like this place. Gentilly needs more restaurants. The food: I ordered a cheeseburger add bacon. The patty seemed hand formed, but mine split right down the middle, which made holding the burger a messy challenge. The flavor was just ok. Mediocre at best. Lettuce was wilted. The onion rings, were great! All six of them… the only thing I wish there was more of. Service: The staff was polite and wiped down the few tables inside with attentive quickness. I didn’t like how the server told us the combo was $ 3.00 extra, only to see there is a 1.00 up charge for rings. No, all of the prices were not posted on the menu. Environment: suitable if in Metairie, I’d say. Will I go back? They need to grow a bit more, and work out the flavors. Maybe I’ll check back in 6 months. This visit seemed like they were still in soft opening mode, and weren’t trying too hard. Definitely not worth $ 14.00 for a cheeseburger combo.

Excellent cheeseburger! My personal preference is fresh cut fries without the spicy seasonings that seems so in vogue now. The fries here are sort of like Bud’s Broiler with added spicy seasoning. Owners are local and really nice and trying hard. That for me would be reason enough to go back. But the main reason you should go is that the burgers are excellent — hand made and grilled to order. Can’t wait for the milk shakes.

Not good… Maybe they need another 6 months to get serious. The burger took 49 mins, they forgot the cheese and BBQ sauce. The burger was mediocre at best. Will not be back
