Loved this cute little shop! Micah was amazing! I met him during Break-fest at Gasa Gasa where he was cutting hair for free– then I only wanted a trim and he did amazing! Later, when I was making the decision to chop off a good bit of my hair, I decided to try and hunt him down again, with great success! The little shop on Chartres is so cute and homie, he had a super laid back sunny day music playlist playing, there was a giant, lazy, sweet greyhound laying on the couch. Everything about it is so homie! Then Micah was so good about asking what I wanted, looking at pictures of celebrities hair that I liked and then catering my haircut to me! I loved the whole experience and my haircut! Definitely found my hair place for New Orleans! Would recommend them highly!

I have a head full of thick curly hair. Micah is a curly hair/natural hair cutting genius. I have lived in NYC, LA, ATL etc. No one compares. Best cuts I’ve ever had. Yes a white man can cut black hair! Book an appointment and thank me later! Sidenote: The salon boasts great music and a cool vibe. Prices are reasonable.

I bought a Gaudet Bros haircut coupon at a fundraiser auction this summer(they get a star for offering a free haircut for a good cause). I live just down the street, so I walked over to make an appointment. The guy told me to go home and make it on the Internet. Ok, so I leave, go home, check out the website, and you have to make a personal account with some third-party thing before you can make an appointment. Sorry, but no. I got my haircut elsewhere. A month later, I walk back to the shop, and instead of being able to make an appointment in person on the second try, this time they give me a number to text. Ok, so I go home and text. The guy texts me back saying to go online. I tell him I’m not going to make an account but that I’m looking at the website and it says Friday at noon is available. I text«can we do Friday at noon»? Response does not include a yes or no, just says«send your full name and email.» I live two blocks away from the place and I just want a haircut! A haircut I’ve already paid for! A real person, physically in the shop, getting repeatedly turned away because I won’t go make an account on my computer?! What the hell is happening to my neighborhood!!!
