Cute & quirky! A true gem filled with a collection of curious goods. One of St. Claude’s must see thrift stores. I pop in frequently because I love vintage items. Recently I purchased a few old glass bottles as well as a fun fringy coat! These are just an example of the neat stuff hiding in this off the beaten path shop.

Do you need a polyester lace belly shirt? A Dr. Who novelization with a wonderfully cheesy ‘70s cover? A plush chair shaped like a giant pink high heel? Of course not. But don’t you want them?! This place has a fantastic selection of curiosities — some curioser than others(giant wooden cone, anyone?) — so it’s worth taking your time to browse through the aisles, which can be pretty cluttered. I scored an awesome gold handbag and an old easel, and I wish I’d had more time to look through the books. I’ll be back; it’s worth making a special trip.

Look and look hard! This is the kind of store that has stuff in every nook and cranny, but the search is well worth it! Kudo’s to the prior poster about bringing cash, that was a good heads up! Things here are fairly priced it seems, and I’m sure their inventory turns over… also they play some sweet music!

When I lived in St. Roch, I used to frequent Conrad’s weekly. Not exactly the antiquarian’s dream, but still worth checking into every now and then. Conrad’s is more of a vintage thrift store than a true antique shop, however it’s nearly impossible to leave the place without having found a buried gem somewhere throughout its various aisles and piles of miscellaneous objects. My best find was when I found an old unopened box of handmade voodoo fetish dolls. Upon opening the box, there were over two dozen macabre-looking fetish dolls– still attached were tags detailing their specific magickal purpose for usage. After working out a deal with Conrad, I bought the 8 best looking dolls and left excited and fulfilled. That’s the thing about Conrad: after you get to know him, he’s really a nice guy. He’ll work out a deal with you if he can see that you really want the specific item in question. Don’t forget to bring cash, as he doesn’t take plastic! When walking in, you’ll most likely hear Conrad sitting at his desk playing the acoustic guitar or him listening to Howard Stern on Sirius Radio. When he found out I was a Howard Stern fan as well, I think that’s when I got on his good side. At Conrad’s, there’s lots of stuff to rummage through, especially the junk in the back! It’s a difficult place to drive by and pass up when in the area. Upon driving past Conrad’s, you’re bound to see mannequins, guillotines, and other strange but interesting objects sitting outside of the shop for everyone to see. One man’s junk is another man’s treasure…

If you can get in the door– you will find that thing you need most in your life that you didn’t even know you were missing out on. Yes, your soul mate is buried under treasure upon treasure.
