I ordered beads to give out for my birthday party from beads by the dozen and I got them the very next day. Very happy with the quick delivery :0)

Best prices on throws for the St. Paddys day parades in the entire metro area and I’ve been to pretty much every supplier in the city. They have an extensive collection on everything from beads and bracelets to specialty items like plush throws, flowers, rubber ducks, sunglasses, foam veggies, scarves, bandanas, headbands, marchers canes and more. Every year I always find new items and I prefer to throw unique items and not just beads and BBTD, never disappoints. The store is open year round and I’ve found beads, decorations and even gift items for every occasion, including a couple rows of decorative housewares with Fleur De Lis motif or specific NOLA items.

Love the fact that they are open all year. Right off Clearview Pkwy and great parking. You can really get a dozen of beads for $ 4 — $ 5. I am talkin the big colorful pearls not those cheap beads everybody throws back on the ground after catching. They should probably discontinue the ‘pennies’. Those small beads. Selection is great! The sports team beads are pretty high $ 5.99 per bead. There are lots of holiday beads like St. Pattys. Instead of showing your xxxx you can head down here to get the big bead you need… or a dozen.

Your source for every bead that you need during Mardi Gras. This is where the krewes shop so should you. They have a huge selection of what will be junk the day after but treasured the day of. The also have very friendly service.

The best bead store we have found in New Orleans. They also give krewe discounts. You can purchase beads by the box, bag or even individually for specialty beads. They also offer plush, masks, gift items and other Mardi Gras merchandise. You will need a car to venture here from the French Quarter. Beads are much cheaper here and you can pick up a box for $ 28-$ 50(depends on size of beads).

Beads-wise, this place is a mecca, 5 stars on the variety of beads. It’s cray. I also love the bead tie, bead headdress, bead bag, bead coozie, and other creative uses of beads to make useful items. While this place is in the friggin’ boonies, I’ve found some great items for Marketing Sponsorships including a dozen giant flowers, great props including boas, funny hats, and other quirky weird items for our Unilocal photobooth stock, AND some great«award pieces», one of which I ended up using for our Arnaud’s event. If someone in the fam likes fleur-de-lis paraphernalia, this place has a serious stash. I don’t necessarily know what I’m going to find out there, but if I have the time it’s great to go through the aisles.

Beads by the Dozen is a good place to get beads, which makes sense considering it’s in the name. The aisles are well organized and clean with everything in the right place, which is better than a lot of Mardi Gras supply stores. I didn’t see much in the way of non-bead throws other than a small palette of moon pies. I do wish the aisles were labeled in some way to make it easier to find what I’m looking for. Considering the level of organization and even signs numbering the aisles I was surprised to not see signage of what was there. I was also a little disappointed with a lack of staff on the floor to assist people looking for something specific. Overall a solid place if you really need beads, but lacking in other throws.

I had the same experience as Natalie F. We provided Stephanie a photo to have some custom beads done for our wedding. Several months, lots of phone calls and countless emails later we had a GREAT final product that all of our guests loved! Stephanie was great to work with and if you are looking for some custom beads, I would go nowhere else but beads by the dozen. Two days before our wedding, we threw a New Years Eve part at one of the best suites on Bourbon Street. We purchased the plain olé’ «Throwing beads» for our guests here. FYI, 70 people… Lots of liquor went through roughly 1,000 beads in about 2 hours on New Years Eve… So plan accordingly… We needed lots more! Price wise, I thought the custom beads were reasonably priced. Everything else was 1⁄3rd of the price you would find retail on Bourbon street. Thank You Stephanie for doing such a great job!
