Love this place! Always convenient, great hours, and lotto tickets when you’re feeling lucky. Greeted with a smile every time. I’m so glad it’s a neighborhood staple.

I am a resident of Algiers Point. If you don’t drive, and are at the mercy of the ferry there aren’t many choices for convenience stores here. This particular store is priced higher then any I’ve been to. A Monster energy drink costs $ 3.26. Many times large sections of merchandise are either low, or have nothing left. There seems to be no desire to accommodate the locals, and a general lack of initiative on the part of the owners. With nothing else close by, there is great opportunity to offer local residents better inventory to select from, greater diversity, and prices that aren’t inflated to the point of ridiculous.

This place has fresh bread from dong phuong, dried mango and chili candies, chisesi’s ham and a pair of Vietnamese twins that play iron maiden all the time. What the fuck.

best(and only) grocery in Algiers Point. they have everything including good hours. groceries, produce, cold drinks, ice-cream, sushi, vietnamese bread, po-boys and spring rolls, sometimes pastries… very happy since they opened. used to be the calogero drugstore/pharmacy back in the day.
