From the second we stepped into Novato Optometry, my wife, daughters and I felt that we found the optometry practice we were hoping to find for years. We have tried different practices but there was always something lacking. Whether it was the hours to accommodate our busy schedules, the selection of frames, the support of the doctors and staff, the desire to not feel like we were being pushed to buy the most expensive products… we hadn’t found a practice that we felt «at home». Well, that search is over.
Novato Optometry has everything we wanted. The staff is amazing and make us feel welcome and important with every visit. The care is outstanding. My youngest daughter and I do not have the best vision and Dr. Huang spent a considerable amount of time testing our eyes, explaining what the tests do, describing why we have these issues and recommending different forms of treatment, care and options.
Joy and Veronica and amazing. They are knowledgeable, kind, patient (very important when you have a 6 and 8-​year-​old), proactive, loving and always available.
Both Dr. Huangs are brilliant. They work in conjunction to make sure every possible issue is identified, explained and resolved. They are wonderful with children and (again) very patient.
Their selection of frames is phenomenal and they have something for everyone. There is no feeling of upsell at all. In fact, they spent a ton of time with both my daughters to find the best frames. With my youngest daughter, they recommended a pair that was by far the least expensive and looked the best. With my oldest daughter, they ordered multiple frames from their distributor just so she could feel she tried «everything».
We are lucky and grateful to be part of this practice. Thank you, Novato Optometry. We hope to be part of YOUR family for a long time to come.

When we arrived there were two very nice ladies to assist my son and I with out paperwork. All three of the ladies in the office were sensitive to the fact that both my son and I get migraines. They took the testing slow and asked how we were doing and if we needed a break. They let me go back to get my glasses picked out since my head was hurting to much. I really love this office!

She has a way of explaining difficult terms or conditions in very concise ways that non eye experts can understand. Her staff is also very helpful, organized and kind. Dr. Huang is incredible in all those ways and including her attention to detail in fantastic explanation of each procedure and feedback to me as a patient. how often do you come home from a visit with your eye doctor and talk about it with your wife because the experience and medical attention received was top notch.
