I really want to like this salon. I love Aveda salons and I was happy that one was so close to where I live. I loved my stylist as a person. She was sweet and affable but my haircut was really quite terrible. When I left I thought maybe it wasn’t that bad… I have had worse hair experiences in Baltimore… but then my boss (who is also my friend) pulled me aside and commented on how uneven and bad it was and sent me from work to her stylist who was shocked at the train wreck my haircut was. My color was fine nothing special nothing bad and I didn’t ask for anything special. I hate writing this because I really did think my stylist was nice and she is young… but she really needs to work on her skill set particularly with short cuts.

it’s sad companies that try to rip people off. I ordered a groupon for them which stated «$ 70 for color balance with one haircut, blowdry, and botanical kinetics treatment (a $ 140 value)» and in the fine print it stated «Extra fee for highlights. «so I called them and asked how much more for partial highlights even though on their website there were about the same price. they told me $ 20 more so i was like ok that’s not bad. so I paid $ 70 for the groupon and when in and got my hair done. they did a good job on my hair (which is the sad part b/​c i would have gone back) but when i went to check out they told me I owed them $ 75 and i was like what!!! well the $ 75 covers the highlights and the price of the toner. and i was like what do you mean the price of the toner??? they said well that’s not included!!! no where on their website nor on groupon did they said you have to pay for toner nor did they tell me that. which is ridiculous. plus toner doesn’t cost that much. if you think that the groupon covered $ 140 value and then you add $ 75. sooo you are saying it cost $ 215 to get your hair partially highlighted and cut… of course at that point i had to pay it but very disappointed and rec’d staying away from this place if this is how they run their business!

I have been going to insignia for a couple of years. Jessie does an amazing job on my hair. The color is beautiful and the style is great. I always get compliments.
Kristy is a great masseuse and acupuncturist! She keeps me together when I get out of wack!
The place is super welcoming and comfortable. I highly recommend this place. I travel from the city out here because they are so good.

I had an amazing experience at Insignia! I went there because I had a groupon for a 30 minute hot stone massage and facial. I was sick, and thought about canceling the appointment, but the staff convinced me through sinus massage and aromatherapy I would feel better.
The staff treated me courteously and professonally even though I am sure I looked like a walking germ factory. My facial and massage were extremely relaxing and thorough. I left feeling happy and relaxed. My skin was glowing and best of all, I could somehow breathe through my nose again! I would definitely go back. GREAT experience!
