My favorite bar/pub in Norwood. Great draft beer selection and good food. It is definitely a bar where the locals hang out. There is a pool table in the back that costs $ 1.50 a game and there are darts.

Service was a bit slow, even though there weren’t that many people in the bar. Ok, small-town pub.

Went to Limeys for a after dinner cocktail. Place was lively with band playing. The place was packed with a very young crowd. The bar could have used 2 bartenders. Took awhile to get a drink. I was disappointed that my drinks were served in a plastic disposalable cup. Serving drinks in plastic disposable cups shows the laziness of staff. Probably won’t be back.

Just moved to Norwood and decided to try this place and for the most part liked it. The bartenders were really nice. Atmosphere and setup is nice as well. Didn’t eat the food but it did look good. Unfortunately there were a few really drunk guys there causing a scene, they kept bumping into people and were being really loud and obnoxious. They kept going to the front door to smoke cigarettes, then came back in reeking of smoke and spilling their drinks. The bartenders were obviously annoyed with them but kept serving them. It looked like one or more of the owners was there as well but they didn’t do anything about these guys. For the sake of the rest of the customers they should have asked them to leave. Instead we decided to leave because my wife felt uncomfortable. I would expect an owner of a bar to not want people like this in their place. They ended up losing business from us and I saw two other people leave because of it. We will go back to try the food though, hopefully our drunk friends wont be there.

Pool table, awesome bartenders. The food is great. Always music and dj and live bands on the weekend. Homey feeling with gorgeous wooden bar.

This place… Confuses me. So, first off, the place at like 7 on a Thursday was a mobscene. It was trivia night(which is what we came for) but the place was jam-packed and insanely loud. It also seemed like there only one waitress(and a bartender) to take care of the masses. I put no fault on the waitress as it seemed she was working very hard but it was terrible for the place to have so little staff as it took a long time to get any refills or even anyone to come over(again, the pub’s fault not the waitress). My order came out wrong the first time and it took another 10+ minutes to get it right. But when it was right(the nachos) it was FANTASTIC. The price for the nachos seems a bit high, but that’s because you get a mountain of nachos. And they were constructed well, with cheese between all the layers and I maybe found 1 or 2 chips from the whole pile that didn’t have cheese or other ingredients. They had an abundance of all the ingredients in perfect proportions. These were probably the best nachos I’ve ever had. They also gave me the nachos for free after the hassle, which was very kind of them. Overall, if you can get in on a quiet night without piles and piles of people, or at least have enough waitstaff to handle it, the food is really good and the service was friendly. The only issue was the rowdy crowds and lack of service.

Not a fan of this place. The bar tenders are the opposite of friendly unless of coarse you are friends with them. The bathroom had a fair amount of vomit in the stall. The one and only pool table is small so the cue ball has a habit of launching off it. Never tried the food here but I doubt I will.

Went last night and while the atmosphere was enjoyable until the young folks arrived and the service was very good and friendly, the food was disappointing and lacking. No flavor at all. I think the food was good when it started but was not seasoned or cooked to make the most of it. Even adding salt did not solve it. Too much grease as well.

It finally happened. After 3 years, my husband and I had a whole night out without our 3 year old kid. We wanted to do some drinking and eating, and so we went to Limey’s for the first time. We’re so glad we chose it! The menu is bar food, but it’s really good! The hot wings were crispy and delicious. The buffalo chicken mac and cheese was ENORMOUS and comforting. The drinks were quick, decently priced, and served with a friendly smile. There was billiards and darts, and quite a few nice locals to talk to. An über from Windsor Gardens was only 6 bucks, too.

Good prices and good bar food. The people who work there are friendly and will make small talk on slow nights. They have karaōke which is always a plus

If I could give 0 I would: The beer was warm, my service was horrible, I was given the wrong order and upon accepting the wrong meal rather than sending it back i proceeded to find my meal extremely undercooked. Very disappointed for someone from out of town waiting for a train wanting just a simple beer and burger

Limey’s has become my go-to place the last few months. Lifelong Norwood resident and I know all the spots. Limey’s gives you by far the best combo of great drinks, really good food at decent prices, cool atmosphere, TVs for sports, and awesome tunes. It’s more the kind of place you’d find in Brighton or Somerville versus some of the tacky Norwood joints. It’s still a hidden jewel but probably not for long.

They have better than decent steak tips but their fish n chips are out of this world — Guinness batter dipped, the filet I had last night measured 6″ x 8″ and about an inch and a half thick, perfectly done as are their chips. The cole slaw was good with a horseradish tang to it. I would vote them as having the best FnC in the Boston area that I’ve had in a long, long time. It’s seat yourself but you’ll be greeted before sitting or shortly thereafter, service so far has been great. As for parking, if you can’t find a space along the street there’s tons of parking out back. It’s located across from the town common and the Norwood Theater, great for a date night dinner or just a meeting spot for a few drinks, darts or pool,

The food is good, if you can get a server to take your order. We seemed to have better luck sitting at the bar, but even then it was 50 – 50. If you want to take your chances go ahead and try this place.

Have been to this pub several times. To me it’s a typical bar. It is large and ‘open’ enough to have a large crowd of friends. The bartenders are pleasant. The prices are reasonable. The outstanding or the«WOW» factor is the nachos. These are the best I’ve ever had and the portion is enough to feed four people.

Just moved to Norwood from Somerville and we love this place. Nice atmosphere, really good pub food and the staff is friendly but not overly solicitous! Trivia night is really really fun!

Half Vintage Hipster … Half Townie Sports-or-Club-or-Pub-or(???). I met up with two of my closest friends for dinner and they recommended Limey’s(where they attend Thursday Trivia). The space is classic Brit-Pub. It’s a long space with a variety of seating options, solid wood accents, and glamorous tin ceiling tiles. I was feelin’ the groove with the tunes being played(Adele, the Smiths, the Ramones, Peter Bjorn and John, etc)…but was a little confused as to why those tunes were being blared from all directions. We sat, we observed the menu(doesn’t take long — it’s a small but packed with some great comfort food combos). We were introduced to our waitress and ordered a round of brewskies. A few minutes later, I was sipping my 5 $ Black Velvet(mmmmm Guinnessy goodness) and we were digging into our potato skin appetizer(4 cheesy pieces of potatoey heaven for 8 $ …a little overpriced, but a delicious). Meanwhile: …the music slowly became slightly more pronounced and the«bah buh bah» of the b-b-bass was preventing 100% conversation comprehension. [so we leaned in — like good friends do in these situations] Our food arrived and I must say: comfort cuisine ACCOMPLISHED! My Italian Panini(mozzarella, basil, tomato on focaccia) was DE-licious; the sweet potato fries: I wish I had ordered a barrel. My friend got a MASSIVE bowl of Buffalo Chicken Mac’n’Cheese(*whimper*) — — - — instant satisfaction. Our waitress was friendly and took care to check in on us(again…aaaand again… and a-gain — — - sheeeeesh!). We would have welcomed the pint refills, but no time for chit-chat; the waitress kept circling by our corner table, and volume of the music was competing with avid college basketball fans screaming at the TV behind the bar(yeahhh I’ll pass). I was pleased with the design and layout of the place and the menu had some GREAT options at totally reasonable prices. I’ll likely return for aforementioned Thursday Trivia… but for a pint and conversation, I may have to look elsewhere(just plain TOO loud for my 26-year-old ears).

Well now this is Boston. There are many Irish pubs in the area. I live in Norwood, and there are some here too. But this is a British pub, and it shows. I came originally from Newfoundland where«fish ‘n’ chips» is a delicacy and it’s done in the English way, with hand cut fries that are to die for, unlike the frozen steak-cut fries most people in New England have come to associate with«fries». You haven’t lived! Limey’s offers up the real deal. Hand-cut fries with wonderfully battered fish that is done as well as I’ve had it in New England. I have also had their chicken wings which are just great. Their salads are large and tasty. I can roll in and get fish and chips the right way(with malt vinegar if you know your fish and chips) and a Guinness and when you leave you’ll already be planning your next trip. Well done Limey’s. I hope you’re around for a long time.

Great atmosphere and fun place to be. Friendly owners and staff. The service can be a little slow at times but the food and drinks make up for it. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. On different occasions, I’ve tried the chicken tenders, buffalo salad, Limey burger and nachos. They also make fabulous drinks; from creative martinis to warm, chocolate concoctions. There is plenty of seating; open space for large groups. They have a pool table and dart board. The bathrooms are clean, which is a huge plus for me. Oh yeah, tons of flat panel TV’s showing mostly sports but the owner said they can change the channel to satisfy any request(no Hallmark shows, of course).
