Went to lunch here. This is a great buffet. .great selection. friendly wait staff. not bad at all. Sushi buffets are pre made. so customers should keep in mind that it will not be on par with a sushi bar making your food to order. overall not a bad lunch for the price.

Went here on a whim for a Sunday seafood buffer. It’s a very large space that feels more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. There could definitely be improvements made for the décor and layout. The food was plenty with a combination of seafood and meat dishes. The sushi variety was also pretty large. Food is tough to keep warm and fresh under these large heating lamps and they did a decent job at it. I’m wary of eating anything that is raw seafood at a buffet, because you don’t know how long it’s been out, but I tried and it was ok. Not super fresh, but also not super bad. That pretty much sums up the food altogether. Nothing was outrageously good and nothing was super bad. The price was over $ 20 per person, which is a little much for me because I’m not a great eater, but if you tend to eat a lot, you can get a good deal here.

3 stars for korean tea but 1 tea bag for the pot and cold refried food from«hot» buffet. What’s good: miso soup has real daishi broth, short ribs, spare ribs, dumplings and salad. Nice area and convenient to alot. Not bad, not great either. Would rather pay 8.99 and not have any expectations!

I ate here a couple nights ago for the first time and really enjoyed it! The sushi was not amazing, but it was good, and they did have a lot of variety which was nice. My favorite buffet item was the pineapple fried rice, which was really flavorful. The ice cream and little cake pieces for dessert were tasty, but the ice cream was messy and a little hard to scoop. Overall I had a very positive experience here and enjoyed the food! I don’t really agree with the negative reviews– while not perfect, this place is new and I think they have a lot of potential; especially as they grow and get to know their consumers, I think they will be a success.

Went here randomly with my husband last month. Went in, and was greeted with Minado prices, so we figured it would be just like it. When we went, it was a Wednesday night, and it was slim picking for sushi. Seriously, only one or two pieces on display on plates, and some of them didn’t even have a card naming or describing the sushi aka sushi roulette. The bar was out of a Japanese beer that they advertised on our table, so that was another mark against them. The hot food looked like it was out for a while, and the staff hovered a lot. We figured they just didn’t know what to do with themselves. The dessert select was ho-hum. Fresh fruit, mini cakes and a small selection of hard ice cream. It was like going into a runned down sushi restaurant, even though they just opened. Suggestions: –know your busy and slow times, so you know how to properly supply your customers with sushi. –Have the sushi cards up to let your customers know what they could be eating –don’t advertise beer if you don’t have it, simple as that. –give staffers something to do, other than hover. Also assign them sections so they know their area and tend to their customers. –make sure your hot food plates are replenished when empty, and don’t sit around and burn. –maybe get better flavors other than play-doh ice cream. No red bean, green tea or lychee ice cream flavors?

As of 12/26/2015: price of dinner is the same as lunch(23.00). They have realized they royally screwed up their grand opening, so the prices have been lowered. We went for lunch and it has pretty good selection for sushi buffet and the sashimi is pretty fresh. Chinese selections are a little Americanized but decent. Overall as long as they keep this 23.00 price point, it is a good value for their selection and quality.

This is my firt time i write comments in Unilocal. When i saw the buffet price, I thought it was a minado similar restaurant. However, when I got there tonight with expectation, I was totally shocked. WTF!!! The sushi looks like shits, the raw bar looks from last year, there is only a few piece of meet in the steam clam. I was a tour guard before, this kind of buffet is everywhere in other state, and the price is below 10 dollars. Here charge 22.99!!! I ask the waiter, he said it just open one month. I will never come back again. I recommend don’t try. It is very awful! In addition, if I can, I will not give no star at all. Don’t trust the official pictures! !!!

This buffet establishment believes it is the next great Japanese/Chinese buffet in the Greater Boston area, but it is far from it. The prices that they charge would have you think that and set your expectations high. But you would be surprised in what you get here. The parking is definitely plentiful, this being in Norwood, near the Automile area. The interior atmosphere is new with a large in store bar area. Lighting for the buffet area is nice as well adds to the décor. Service is as expected for a restaurant. They were quick to get our drinks and clear our plates. Face it, the reason that we go to these places is really for the food. The way they have the food laid out, you can tell that they were stingy about letting people eat. I was there at peak time, and they serve those little portions in the buffet area. Putting one piece of sashimi into a bowl. Trying to look cute. Who are you trying to fool. All of your customers can read thru why you are doing this. Food was definitely not replenished fast enough. Constantly running low on food. The sushi selection is very sad and mediocre. They pretty much use the same ingredients in all of them. Variety is low as well. Not too much selection for a buffet in this price range. Soup was bland. Look through the Unilocal pictures that people have posted and see if they whet your appetite. I would say NOT. They are having 10% off during the grand opening period if you mention their website: . But the manager in charge was hesitant in giving it. Running around with excuses. But I was persistent to get my discount. They are running a Christmas time gift card promotion. I thought about it, tried it and I knew I was not going back. Passed on the gift card promotion due to bad experience. If you like to experience new restaurants, this is worth a try. But more likely than not, you will not be back. They are charging prices that Minado, Todai and MakiMakiBoston charge and the quality lacks by far to those well established self-service buffet restaurants.

I am SOOOOO happy this placed opened up on route 1. I think the prices are very fair for the amount of food you can consume. They have a sign in the entrance that says you’re limited to 1.5 hours at the sushi buffet, but we never felt rushed. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Most beers are $ 3.75. Current prices are under $ 30/person for the dinner buffet. It looks like prices would go up as high as $ 33 for the buffet(from what I could read under the tape on the sign). Sushi quality was great. Sushi selection was great. Service was great. I really hope this place is successful. Everyone go there now and eat lots of sushi!!!

I read past reviews and I agree that the old prices were too expensive. That being said, I do think their new prices are much more reasonable. We came here for lunch and thought they had great food and the $ 15 lunch price was great. Sushi was fresh for a buffet and I like their hot food selections. I would recommend this place and will come again! I was going to give this place 4 stars, but decided the 5 stars will help their overall rating.
