I’ve brought a couple different cars to these guys over the years for a whole range of things from diagnostic issues, tune-​ups and bigger repairs. I really like the crew here and they we’re honest and fair. They told me things that saved me money when they could have easily ripped me off. They are good at communication and also well versed and skilled at car repair…
I highly recommend this shop

In my previous review, I mentioned I had only taken my car in for oil changes and regular maintenance. I promised I would update when I needed to use the shop for major work.
We took in my husband’s car believing that we would need to replace the tranny. The shop did a diagnostic and informed us that it was the front left wheel bearing, and they fixed it for us. The cost seemed fair, the turnaround time was fast, and I believe there was no diagnostic fee because we had them do the work.
They are not as close to our home as I would like, but I still go out of my way to take our cars here whenever we need our regular maintenance work. I recommend them highly.

The car repair industry has a HORRIBLE reputation. (rightfully so IMHO).
But every once in a while you find a car repair shop that is run by a honest, solid, reputable group. (In this case it’s been in the family)
I’ve driven right by this place lot’s of times. Never gave it a 2^nd thought.
Until… my current car guy (norwich tire, their awesome!) didn’t have the diagnostic equipment to figure out why my Chevy S-​10 was ready to stall at every stop.
I really trust Bob at Norwich Tire (NT been in the industry, same location for a couple generations) and asked him to recommend someone.
With out any hesitation he suggested 2 different local companys. I thought I’d give Charlie & Dougs a try.
When I walked in to their place, I was SHOCKED!
The place is so clean, well organized, virtually spot-​less and the people were friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and right on top of things.
It went off like clock work.
They called, explained the problem, answered all my questions. No unpleasant surprises…
In fact I’m thrilled with the great job they did, how I was treated and just how professional and trust worthy they were.
So if you’re local or if you just blew into town for a run at the casinos, I had a great experience with these guys.
Bottom line, I’m a tuff and vocal consumer & I don’t pull any punches and I’ll go back to them in a heart beat.
