Great bar in historic downtown Norwich with a lot of local history. Seems to be the place that many civic leaders visit after a night of policy making, and has a divey bar feel. They don’t advertise it well, but they have amazing wings and french fries. I highly recommend the chipotle wings.

I’ve been coming here for several years and I am never let down. Billy Wilson’s is the perfect mix of laid back dive bar, sports bar, and an all around community bar. The service is great and the specials are even better. I recommend Billy Wilson’s to anyone looking for the right place to meet friends, watch a game, conduct business, or let loose from your busy week.

Brought my wife for burger and wings for a date night around 5 or 6 pm on Friday. Wasn’t busy at first but by the end it started to get crowded(which is good). Service was great. The server could answer questions, make some suggestions, and had impeccable timing. Everything was fresh. And by everything, I mean the wings and the burger(see pictures) we ordered. The burger was well seasoned and clearly by taste and texture not a frozen patty. Woohoo. Really delicious. Good meaty flavor. It was juicy as well. I think the price of the burger was right on point. The is a good selection of 8 or so sauces for the wings. We really enjoyed the Teriyaki which wasn’t icky sweet. I REALLY loved the Thai Peanut as I’m a big peanut lover. I just wish it was a spicier Thai but I’d order them again for sure. I think the price of the wings is a little off the mark. I think when they have a special, it’s a little more competitive. I’d come back for the burger any time but I’d probably get the wings only when listed as a special.

This is the local bar. While I’m no longer 21, I’ve been sipping, sometimes chugging drinks here since I was! Walking into BW’s is like walking in your front door. You always know someone(can be good or bad!), you definitely know the bartender(that’s you Lauren, Evan!)and your drink is always good. The food is great! I don’t eat wings too often, but when I do, they need to be hot and tangy, coated with the sauce, NO sawdust batter! I get what I want every time. My mother, not keen on hot sauce gobbles down their thai peanut wings. Sandwiches, hearty and filling, salads fresh and large. You won’t find anything trendy or cutting edge at BW’s(their jukebox is awesome) but you will find comfort in a place that feels like home.

BESTWINGS in town! There are 3 main bars in this town and this one has the best wings, hands down. I’ve tried a few other items on the menu as well and so far I’ve liked it all. They have small live bands on the weekends that fit the size and the crowd of this bar very well. Most of the people in this bar are locals but sometimes you just want to sit down, have a drink, and talk about your neighborhood with your neighbors. So if you want great wings, good people, laid back atmosphere, and very few girls to hit on, go here.
