Southwood At Norwell Nursing Center

My 84-​year old mother-​in-​law is currently at Southwood on the rehabilitation floor following cardiac surgery at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. We could not be any happier with her care. She is well taken care of and is getting her IV antibiotics daily and is getting proper meals and exercise. We look forward having her continue her stay in the long-​term area once her rehabilitation stay is complete.

My 57 year old wife was sent to Southwood Nursing Home and Rehab in Norwell for rehab after major surgery. The transition from South Shore Hospital took a long time and she arrived at Southwood at 9;30 pm. It took 14 hours for her to get her Oxycontin pain medication. The first shift said the second shift would take care of it. They had two hours left on their shift but didn’t want to take the time to order the meds. Most of the time they were sitting around the desk talking. The second shift didn’t order the meds either. It wasn’t until the third shift, and many complaints of pain that they decided to order the meds. Very disturbing and painful stay at Southwood. Despite many attempts to talk with management they didn’t seem to care. a week of hell there.
