I’ve been a patient here since I was an infant, I always liked the organization… Until I became an employee. Internal medicine is probably the worst department to work in, and be a patient. They do not care about your well being, only what insurance you have and how much money they receive for providing you care. The employees, doctors including will talk about your diagnoses openly to everyone in the back. They will discriminate against you, strictly based on what health concerns you have, and if you’re one of the healthy ones they will probably call you a hypochondriac if you’re there for an urgent care appointment. Being an employee I witnessed all of the negative and unethical things that 98% of the patients don’t get to see. Needless to say I am no longer a patient.

Terrible terrible. I stopped going here but people in my family who actually need great care are still at this horrible place. They don’t care nor listen to the patients and the concerns they have. They are unethical and very unprofessional. When expressing concerns and frustrations due to lack of care, Sara RN of family medicine has been known to hang up on you mid conversation be extremely rude and threaten your future treatment care… doesn’t this place sound great?!

Can’t say enough about this place! Absolutely fantastic, utilizing the latest technology. Their new facility is state of the art, one stop shopping. They are my PCP and my children’s pediatricians. From the moment you check in til the time you are seen has been, in our experience, no longer than 10 minutes! Most time I barely sit in the waiting room before someone is calling my name. Great doctors, staff and facility.

My roommate had an appointment, so I figured they could help me with my moderate abdominal pain and vomiting while we were there. They said that since I am not a regular patient, they would not take my insurance or provide me emergency or regular services. The staff at the main registration desk seemed incredibly rude while trying to maintain a friendly demeanor. You would be better off going anywhere but here.

Great pediatric care — okay adult care. Same day appts are very convenient. Staff is normally very nice, sometimes the nurses will be very short but other than that I think most all the docs we have seen as a family have been great.

Dr MacKay is great! I never wait more than five minutes for an appointment. All of the staff I’ve ever encountered has been very friendly. I’ve been to both Norwell and Weymouth location. The Norwell location is brand new and beautiful!

They cancelled my appointment three times in a row then rescheduled me for 1:45. I took a lunch and got there right on time. I’ve been waiting ½ hour and was just told I wouldn’t be seen in another ½. Still waiting 30 mins later. I’m losing pay for over an hour and they aren’t even really friendly here.(I was told it would take a ½hr tops) New building is beautiful. That’s about it.

About as convenient as it gets when it comes to medical facilities. Having been a patient here back in my pediatrician years, I’ve recently returned to South Shore Med Center in an effort to centralize/consolidate one aspect of my adult life. I love the later appointments, because 9am isn’t always the best time for a doctor’s appointment. And on the unfortunate chance that you find yourself needing some medical attention on the weekend(but the ER is a bit overkill) — there’s a doctor available at SS Med Center! Need x-rays or blood-work? No worries, it’s all at South Shore Medical Center! And when I’m not feeling well, it’s this flexibility and«one-stop shopping» that makes life that much easier.
