Honestly I came for Pioneer’s Cash and Carry but this was the only one in the area that was still open. The guy was standing guard so I was a little hesitant to walk in but I’m glad I did. He was helpful and even had Vicco foam for cheap! I was just trying to get in and out so I checked out the soaps and glanced briefly at the beauty. I wasn’t watched or harassed which is good. This place has a nice selection of beauty products but I would go to Pioneer’s for the prices. A bottle of Vicco tooth powder was $ 8 and Pioneer’s has the bigger one for $ 5. They sell bulk henna here which I come for on the regular, but that’s all I buy. They seem to have a good selection of groceries but I’ve never really looked at that section. The people who run this shop are very nice. The lady complimented me on my festive earrings and always chats me up. I would definitely come for the henna and good service. Side note: This place also sells Sam’s Cinnamon soap which smells really good!

Easy to find and stocked with what I needed for my Indian Valentine’s Day dinner. I will go back for samosa wrappers.

Yum! a huge assortment of the super-sweet deep fried Indian sweets behind a glass case. I picked up some fritter-like things with a creamy cardamon infused paste inside. Washed it down with a giant mango lassi.

i haven’t been to this location but india sweet and snacks catered a song and dance show i went to in la mirada. the samosas were terrific although a bit on the small side. they also served up this porridge-like brown rice and peas mixture that wasn’t much to look at but was rich with spices. the lady serving up the food warned me that the rice may be a little spicy. i guess ‘a little spicy’ means ‘hot enough to make you sweat’ after the fourth bite!
