5 star for a fast food Chinese take out. Staff very friendly and inviting. The Teriyaki chicken and orange chicken was my favorite. Staff gifted free ice cream and donuts just because. Shrimp wonton soup is a must try.

Cute little hole in the wall shop. Hits the spot when you need it. Amazing service with super nice staff. There’s Chinese food, ice cream, and doughnuts with scratchers available for purchase! Super affordable food.

I’ve only ever gotten the party trays of Pepper Chicken. It’s only $ 25 and will definitely be the first thing gone at a potluck/party. At first, I thought pepper chicken was going to be like the Chinese salt and pepper shrimp, where it’s kinda fried and dried with a light batter and some salt, pepper and green onions on top. ACTUALLY, this pepper chicken has a sort of sticky, slightly sweet GARLIC sauce with a hint of pepper. Not sure why it’s not called garlic chicken, but anyways– from seeing other reviews and tips, this is the go-to dish. They also have donuts and ice cream on the side. I think they can even make a boba drink for you here.

Cheap Chinese food… Not much else you can say. The one item that just is a knock out is the fry wings… Amazing with their sweet sauce… Don’t bother with the doughnutsnot good at all. Lady’s working the counter are delightful people and ready to help out.

I really enjoy this restaurant! I’ve tried their food when they were catered to a couple event I’ve been to in the area. It’s all you could want in Chinese take out. My favorite are the black pepper chicken!

The pepper fried chicken from this place is so good! The skin is a little sweet & super crispy. It’s $ 7 for a To-go box!

Wow this place sucks. I can’t believe I spent my money here and was completely disappointed. So I drove by this place on my way to Cerritos College and I thought Chinese food before a test would go down good. I should have just kept driving. I walked into a very dirty out dated location that looked pretty disorganized and filthy. They also sell donuts here which are usually a red flag for me but I was in a hurry to make it to class so I told myself to man up and order. When I got to the counter all the food had that film on the sauces from food that has been sitting for a while but it was earlier so I proceeded to order. The only thing that looked edible and didn’t look like a weird mystery buffet item was the teriyaki chicken, chop suey, and the chow mein. I took my order to the nearest table and stared at some boxes of cabbage on the floor and a religious alter of some sort and sort of mess. I took my first bite and I could taste some sort of curry flavor and water down teriyaki. The noodles were overcooked and mushy and they white rice tasted like steamed uncle bens. I am traditionally a person who hates throwing away food and I try to eat everything on my plate even if I am left stuffed. This place made me break that trend because the food was just so nasty in flavor and the fear of getting sick was so overwhelming that I had to dump about half the plate. I would never try to visit here again but I hope they read this and decide to clean up their dining room and change the food or cover it properly so people do not get turned off from the presentation. Also they need to eat their own food and see if they are happy with the flavor.

The food was gross and I would never recommend anyone to come here to eat. It seems like they didnt want to even serve us and had an attitude if we said excuse me I couldn’t hear u. I will never come back.

I first heard about their Black Pepper Chicken when my friend brought it to a potluck and it was such a big hit. So when I was asked to be in charge of bringing a dish for my family gathering, I knew exactly what to bring. I ordered a half tray and as expected, my family loved it! I received so many compliments and they kept asking me where I got it from. I will definitely bring this chicken again to my next event.

chinese food, donuts, coffee, boba, & ice cream. all that(and more) in one place. large portions for reasonable prices. friendly service. their specialty is the black pepper chicken. order a large tray and you’ll be the most popular person at any potluck/party, guaranteed :)

I’ve been coming here for years and I have always had the best service. Like most of the other reviewers I have to say the Black Pepper Chicken is the best. Every party I have or potluck I go to I always bring a tray. My friends call it crack chicken. I have friends that drive from OC and Corona to get this chicken. The soup is pretty good too. When I’m not feeling too well I call in an order of soup and chances are by morning I’m feeling better.

Its cheap Chinese food why complain! its not like its suppose to be gourmet this shit is food to go people! its $ 5 to $ 6 bucks for a box of fried chicken. Fried Chicken is normal. But the Pepper Chicken is bomb! sweet and savory plus the skin is freaken crispy! $ 6 bucks for a dozen donuts. donuts were pretty good. The apple fritter was really good! Summary: its a cheap eat! plus their pretty good at making donuts and that pepper chicken. i can grub on that forever! i wont though cause then i’d probably die of a heart attack and diabetes. eat up bitches its CHEAP!!! its kinda ghetto for those who haven’t been in the area.

Ok, so I admit, I’m kind of anti-Chinese food. I was more than willing to give this place a whirl considering I watched my friend eat some mouth watering chowmein from this place a few days before. So, my brother and I decide lets hit up 88 King, which is a chinese food and donut shop combined, that should have raised a red flag in my head. Anyway ignoring the fact that this was a donut/chinese food combo i walk in. Right before I order, I stared at the chowmein, as I was about to ask the woman behind the counter for it, This huge fly hoovers then lands on the noodles. That is the reason why I hate Chinese food to begin with, seems unsanitary, YUCK. Never again, sorry!

$ 5 for a box of fried chicken? How can you go wrong with that? It’s crunchy, has a nice taste to it. Sweet & salty, just right! I love asking them to give the extra skin, and they’re gladly to give ALL of it! I haven’t tried anything else but the chicken, but it’s a small little place, and what they’re really known for is just the chicken… so go on & try it! For $ 10 you can get half a tray!

I USED to love this place! The last two or three times I have been here it has been terrible though! Over the past few years the food quality has gone steadily downhill and they have been scrimping on the food prepared. Other than the rice and chow mein, the last time I went I had to sit and wait for them to get either one of the entrees ready.(an egg foo young which was awful and standard issue broccoli beef) They USED to be inexpensive, serve large portions, and have great hot food. But it’s gone downhill and I have since changed which Chinese food place I go too. It’s a damn shame because the girl at the counter was pretty easy on the eyes too. The only reason I didn’t give them 1 star is because of what they USED to be.
