Good Time Party Store

The owner is very kind, and walked back to the deli after it was closed to bring me a loaf of bread from behind the counter. They don’t usually sell loaves, but he figured he would help me out, as it was my first time in there and I was in a pinch. The wine selection is great, and I was able to snag a reasonably priced bottle of Pinot Grigio today, too. This place is within biking distance from my condo, so I will be back.

These guys, at least when I have been they are all guys, know their booze. They know their beer. They know their wine. They know their spirits. They are not shy about offering suggestions or ideas, and they are willing to bring in almost anything, if it’s not in stock. And not having something in stock would be fairly surprising because they carry a broad selection in all alcohol departments.
Their soda and juice selection is okay for a liquor store as is their section of snacks. They carry Michigan brands in items like chips, pretzels, etc. Also, in the back of the store to the right is a small deli, that is often overshadowed by the wine section. They make sandwiches and have some prepackaged foods.
The service is always friendly and fun, and usually fairly quick, though they can be seem a bit disorganized when there is a crowd.

The store is very clean, the staff friendly and knowledgeable, they have a nice little sandwich & deli section and in the summer they run Custard Time, the store next door, which sells ice cream sundaes, shakes and other sweet goodies. One time I went in and they were out of the liquor I wanted and the owner/​manager offered to hand deliver it to my home the following day after the liquor truck had come in. I mean, who else does that??? I give Good Time a 5 star rating because they deserve it!

I have never in my life been so rudely treated in line at the party store! while standing in line several lines began to form around me so I politely asked the store clerk if I was in the right line and he replied «we’ll get to you as soon as we can» insinuating that I was in a hurry, which I wasn’t. Then he began helping the other people around me who in my opinion were cutting in line. I didn’t say anything but the lady behind me said «weren’t you next» and so again I asked if I was standing in the right place and he again made a snarky remark about me being in a hurry and helped someone else instead. I only got help when other clerks came up and noticed huge lines forming, why was I being singled out for rude comments — absolutely humiliating! I will never come here again…

A bit pricey on some items, but that’s just the convenience store premium.
Great counter staff. Very helpful.
Owner seems to be active with the local community.
I remember going here with my dad as a kid. The guys would always give me a free pretzel rod or piece of licorice from the jar on the counter. Memories of small town living!

Good people. They take requests for different beers. clean.
