Many negative/bad reviews about their orange chicken, I am questioning why they still offer it? It is the most awful tasting chicken. If you still insist on getting it, you will gag when you taste it. Don’t let them get away with serving this subpar dish and return it. I am checking to see who I need to contact at a higher level re this. Observe their employees regarding their serving standards, handwashing? after handling money and then the food, sanitary conditions, cleanliness of the store etc. Take a good look around, and be aware.

Haven’t been here in awhile, but it never seems to disappoint me. The originally beef is great, but time it tried the new orange chicken and it was really good. It didn’t have that vinegary flavor like panda. Will probably go back a bit more frequently now.

FALSEADVERTISING!!! Yes, the worst case of it I’ve ever seen. If you look at the menu and then, compare it to the food you actually get, you can’t help but laugh your arse off. I thought I’d try the new«Orange Chicken»… the picture on the menu shows like 10+ pieces of orange chicken on the large combo bowl with orange chicken /beef. What I got was like 2 chicken pieces and like 3 small breadcrumb crisps lol(someone told me it was crispy, but it was just soggy and wasn’t cooked long enough). It was friggin’ hilarious. I mean… people are complaining about 1 inch missing at Subway on a foot long. But this is FAR beyond and as bad as it gets when it comes to false advertising. I tried to get a refund, but the girl did NOT know how to give a refund and there was no supervisor on duty(WTF?). Save your money and go to Pieology next door. The cook can’t screw up your order(unless they burn it). and you can have as many ingredients as you want. At Pieology, if your pizza/food sucks, it’s your own fault. Anywho, this location sucks. Seriously, look at the combo bowl picture that shows how many pieces of orange chicken are in advertisement, then compare it to what you actually get.

Futaba is closed on Mondays but still craved Japanese food. Closest alternate in terms of proximity and food? Yoshi’s. (+) Still has the same beef bowl and onion flavor of back in the day. Reminds me of my childhood when I was a real fatty and could easily consume a large beef bowl and small beef bowl for ONEMEAL. (-) The skin of the teriyaki chicken was too thick and fatty. Bleh. (-) Orange chicken portion my friend got was pitiful. Does not compete at all with Panda Express a few doors down. (-) They don’t set out condiments like the ginger anymore. You have to ask and they are pre-portioned into little cups! Only thing out by the soda machine are soy sauce and some kind of seasoning in a shaker bottle. (+/-) Food is okay, what you probably expect for a fast food chain. The new angus steak with green onions looks appetizing on their menu picture, but it could just as well be disappointing. Might just stick to the tried and true beef bowl on the rare chance I come back.

Very bad service. The manager didn’t speak English, the workers didn’t know what the food was and it took half an hour to get our food. Never go here.

Price’s increased and quantity’s decreased… My friends used a coupon for two large orange chicken bowls and the quantity of the orange chicken was poor, for both of them. Also some of the veggies were not even completely cooked. Imagine two large bowls weren’t even enough for two thin girls? But the beef here’s good.

Went to get some takeout for lunch today. Service is alright, place doesn’t seem too clean. Food is slightly on the drier side but it’s good for cheap eats I guess. They take credit card, just not the AMX which I am very surprised since they are a big chain fast food restaurant

This review isn’t for the food, because let’s be honest that its a chain, and they pretty much all taste the same. My review is for my experience with customer service. In every occasion except for one time, the customer service was mediocre at best. Most all cashiers almost have a «I have to be here» attitude. In their location, with so much competition, they should be kissing customer booty.

warm, greetings, kind service, semi clean place but the food… the chicken smelled and tasted horrible. neither one of us were able to swallow the chicken. I also tried the beef and it was not much better.

blah yoshinoya is so bad came in with a coupon, 2 bowls for $ 8 seems like a good deal as the bowls are pretty big, but there is far more, or less, than meets the eye service was no issue, friendly cashier taking the order had our bowls to go, one chicken one beef both are filled to the brim with white rice, only to have the top thin layer with veggies and meat i didn’t try my girlfriend’s but she had the teriyaki chicken and said the chicken was too dry from low sauce my meat was horrendous it was just 2 large strands/clumps of thin, dry, bland mystery meat even for $ 8, basically $ 4 a bowl, this place is too cheap with their food and nasty quality never coming back even if it’s free

My first time at this location. In the heart of CSUN, so yes its going to be busy. They added a few new items on the menu now. They are now serving Asian BBQ Wings. I actually ordered 4. Good taste. First impressions very important no matter where we go and eat or shop. The employee here today was very friendly and helpful. Good Job. This location is small, however its well organized and clean. Good Job to the crew today during lunch. The condiments where well stocked and cleaned, from the straws to the napkins, most of all the restroom also was clean. A Plus. Great Job. Its not the size of the location or what you have to work with. Its the leadership and direction, and most of all the training you provide for your employees. Great Job. 2015÷013−100 Challenge.

I can’t believe what I saw yesterday. As a former owner of a café, I know for a fact that this wouldn’t fly with the health inspector. I also know that a certificated food handler knows to wash his hands after handling raw meat of any kind!!! While standing in line, I watched a young man handle raw meat and place it into the steamer. Then, I saw him wipe his hands on his lap and grab a bowl to fill it with rice! I continued to watch him and see, if at some point, he was going to wash his hands. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I left disgusted. I’m never going to eat there again.

The parking lot is usually always full, so that is sometimes a bit of a hassle because it is located in a very busy plaza with a lot of other stores and restaurants. Yummy food for a cheap price. We got an order to go that literally took a few minutes to be ready. I barely sat down when our order was called. Friendly service.

Just ate there recently. Unfortunately my husbands spicy chicken bowl had a couple of surprises. I’m not sure what it is. There was a really burnt half a raisin sized piece that I didn’t know what it was. I was guessing a burnt piece of chicken but no idea. The next thing was a small metal spring. Like a tiny hinge for something small. Maybe braces!!! What the fudge!!!

My family and I ate lunch here yesterday and it was good! I took the recommendations on Unilocal and ordered the beef bowl, which was really tasty! The rice was different then what I’m used to, being from Hawaii, but I was just happy that there was white rice somewhere in The Valley haha! :) My parents said that their food was good: the teriyaki chicken and chicken salad. The employees were nice(greeted us when we walked in) and the inside was clean. It was funny that they clean everything, right down to the pictures hanging on the wall. Saw one of the employees do that and was surprised. All in all I’d return again. It’s right next door to CSUN so I have a good excuse ha.

It’s been a while since the last time I visited a Yoshinoya restaurant! My boyfriend had never been so I chose it this time around so we can both try it. I forgot how good it was! I got the chicken teriyaki bowl and a chicken vegetable soup — I didn’t think I would get too full from it but it was, in fact, very filling! I don’t see how anyone can eat the large plate that they sell here! But it was very tasty!

I hate doing this but wow that was not good even with a two for one coupon ! It’s a NoGoAnoya for me. I really wanted to like it and their promo pic is tempting.
The Yaki Udon Beef Bowl as they describe it «Wok seared sliced USDA Beef tossed with fresh vegetables(Zucchini, Bok Choy, Cabbage, Snow Peas, Onion and Garlic), Udon Noodles special sauce cooked on the wok. Garnished with ginger and sesame seeds» Here is what we got, tough sinewy beef, drenched in sauce and the flavor of more than beef. It was just not appetizing. After several bites, I gave up. Maybe the college kids don’t care, but I do, no thanks, won’t be back anytime soon.
