Trash food. Serve the samething every week. Low quality and yet expensive. They need to serve up better food since a whole lot of students pay for the meal plan. Im pretty sure they can afford some top quality stuff.

Geronimo’s is a buffet type eating establishment for the students in housing at CSUN to eat lunch, dinner, and breakfast. They offer all sorts of food such as pizza and Mexican food. The food overall is pretty decent, and filling. However it gets old really quick and needs a change up more often. On Wednesdays they try to change it up with food from various cultures, but I think there should e be more types of foods and healthier options. Inside the atmosphere is nice and warming with lots of pictures and colors popping out. There is also different types on sit ins such as booths, tables, sofas, and an outside patio area. They even have TVs inside to watch sports or just a TV show while you are eating. They also show portraits of notable alumni of CSUN. The food is decent inside, more of a quantity over quality place to eat. But it still gets the job done and has you leaving satisfied and full. There is always pizza which is not top quality but is still pretty good for all you can eat. They also have a desert section which consists of cookies and cupcakes that are actually really good. Overall for it being a buffet type of eater it is pretty good. Given that we have to eat there with our meal plans it provides pretty good food. And it is open late so you can pretty much eat whenever you want.

Every day the menu changes for lunch and dinner, while some items may be kept throught the day most items change. Every thursday night is a themed related dinner from a different country, some nights is thai, others mexican, others brazil, etc. Is not ultimately as bad as it once was, since renovations went into place is been prettt decent food. You can ask the cook to make you a chicken quesadilla, which i recommend because is a big quesadilla grilled on the spot. There is also a make your own sandwhich bar, you can make any sandwhich you like with any ingredient available and chances are if you want it, is there. It is buffett style so you stuff yourself here if you like, other wise just eat small portions. Most people who eat here have the dinning plan but if you dont then you might as well stuff yourself. The price for non dinning plan students is 10 buxs but if you have the matamoney card is 9. So get it at the local tienda store in school. saves you money.

This is my first year dorming at CSUN and well it’s mandatory for us to get a meal plan here at Geronimos. Geronimo’s is an all you can eat buffet, and they have alot of options to choose from. Let me start off with breakfast! I hardly ever eat breakfast but when I have gone they have pancakes, french toast, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit, oatmeal, and a variety of different cereals. They have so many different types of juices, and they have soy milk, low fat milk, whole milk, and even chocolate milk. What i liked the most of breakfast was definitely the donuts and the hash browns! Now lets get to lunch! I honestly can’t tell the difference between lunch and dinner. It seems like they serve the same things. They always have the same things for both. They have an american section where they ALWAYS have pizza, cheeseburgers, and french fries. the pizza and the french fries with seasoning are amazing! I’m not a big fan of the cheeseburgers because sometimes there too burnt and the cheese is really hard. Next they have a Chinese section, where they have egg rolls, rice, noodles, etc. I love the Egg rolls! They also have an Italian food section where they serve a variety of different pastas. Lastly they have a «South of the Border» section where they have, carnitas, fajitas, beans, tortillas, rice, barbacoa, etc. I love getting food from there because I’m Mexican and although it doesn’t compare to my moms food, it does the job. Right next to that they have a salad bar which is great! It has a variety of vegetables, lettuce, spinach, and fruit. I always get a bowl of fruit with every meal i get! The fruit is always so fresh. They have a good variety of fountain drinks, but mine id the Brisk Raspberry iced tea! They also have a Deli where you can prepare you own sandwich and you can ask them to grill it for you. I’ve never actually tried one, but my friend said that they are very good. Lastly, the dessert section! My favorite! They have so many options, from chocolate chip cookies to brownies, and little cupcakes sprinkled with recess pieces on top! My favorite has to definitely be the Macadamia Nut cookies! they are so soft and delicious! They also have a frozen yogurt machine, but i only like a few of there flavors because sometimes they have really nasty flavors, like cake batter. The employees there are actually college students so they are very cool and friendly. I am always greeted very nicely when I enter. Geronimo’s seriously has a lot of options to choose from! I recommend you to try it out.

They have a lot of different kinds of food there. The only thing that is bad is breakfast — It isn’t many healthy options there… I really like the dinner there. Always something that I like. They also gets a plus point for having a salad bar.

I stayed at the dorms for a year and all I had to eat was Geronimos. It is a serve yourself all you can eat buffet. The food is grade C quality. With the food quality established, the quantity makes up for it. Pizza, burgers, taco, chicken wings, fries, ribs, mashed potatoes, Chinese food, a salad bar with fruit salads, traditional salads, hard boiled eggs, frozen yogurt machine with standard toppings like colorful sprinkles. A soda machine with a standard selection you will find at most restaurants. A machine for regular milk, low fat milk, and chocolate milk. A machine for Apple juice, orange juice, and some fruity concoction they have. A cereal machine that is open at all times. Once a week they had steak which was a good treat I enjoyed. The utensils are stocked 98% of the time. The lines for food move fast. There are napkin machines every table which are stocked 98% of the time. There is ketchup, hot sauce and BBQ sauce at every table — the ketchup runs out quick because it is popular but there is always more to be found on another table or from a worker. They have a standard coffee machine that have espresso, vanilla latte, hot cocoa, black coffee and hot water for the tea bags that they keep in stock. They have a sandwich bar in the back where you can make sandwiches out of a subway variety of choices and the quality is epic. During my last months eating all I had was huge sandwiches. They can toast the sandwiches too. The place is clean. The bathrooms are clean. There is plenty of seating. It was great while I was forced to eat there. I wouldn’t willingly take my self there again because of the C grade food but the quantity and selection makes up for it.

The food is so unhealthy and bad. Hate this place. Even worse is that it’s mandatory to buy the stupid meal plan.

College Cafeteria I would expect them to have a different menu every day, or even more healthier options but with all the money we are spending for meal plans, they give us 2 or 3 healthy options and 10 unhealthy options i know i know they say go to the gym limit your portions yada yada but having pizza, burgers, and taco stuff and sandwiches every day gets old, and unhealthy; especially it being an all you can eat buffet even for breakfast, having eggs, bacon, sausage, egg muffins, doughnuts, pancakes and french toast everyday gets old in my case, i have been on a semi strict diet for the last 8 months, have lost 25+ pounds, and my breakfast, which was th biggest contriuter to helping with my diet, was either cereal, fruit smoothie with fresh fruit, or V8 juice here they have yogurt, granola cereal, and cut up fruit which is fine by me whihc is what i will be having the majority of the time, but yogurt and graola is not worth $ 8 every breakfast; so the geronimos meal plan is very unfair while some kids use up more than their $ 8 worth of meals, my meal is merely $ 2 – 3 now how does that work? College has become such a scam, they dont even let guests use your meal plan; for instance if i have mom or dad come by, they cant use one of my meal plans that day, they have to pay out of pocket or use my dining dollars. why should they care who uses it, we paid for it we should be able to go as many times and let guests use our meal plan per the amount alloted per week! huff

Breakfast isnt too bad, skip lunch, dinner is hit-or-miss. The pizza is fattening but the best tasting thing there. They always have an alright selection of mexican food for dinner. The ambiance is nice with good interior decorating. Good selection of cereal 24 – 7. Juice and soda are alright. Crap food for the price($ 8 for breakfast, $ 10.50 for dinner)
