I’ve been seeing Dr. Joe since 2⁄2014 after going to a seminar suggested by Angie Austin. I was interested in the seminar because it mentioned weight-loss but I also learned that my asthma could possibly be cured too. I didn’t get asthma until I was in my 20’s which apparently is a little different than most adult asthma cases per pulmonologists I’ve seen. I came down with a bad case of recurring asthma in 2013 that even the pulmonologist couldn’t figure out; she chalked it up to «an asthmatic event my lungs couldn’t recover from» even though I hadn’t done anything to trigger the attack. After a year of being on steroids, inhalers, and getting my very own nebulizer I was ready to try something else! I hate taking meds and putting chemicals into my body if I don’t have to so as a long term solution that wasn’t an answer for me. In the winter of 2013 before I went to Dr. Joe I couldn’t even walk a block in the cold air without needing to use my nebulizer directly afterwards! I am now almost 100% athma free!(I now only need my quick inhaler when I stop working out for too long and then start back up but it usually is only needed for the 1st week.) I believe 100% that keeping up with my adjustments and putting good foods into my body will cure me of asthma for good and I can’t wait for that day! :)

I recently began treatment with Dr. Arvay upon the recommendation of another patient. To begin, this rating is preliminary as the doctor prescribed a 6 month course of treatment. Dr. Arvay and his staff are a pleasant balance between genial and professional. I felt welcomed immediately, and their collective concern for the well-being of their patients is evident. Having visited a few chiropractic offices over the years, I found Dr. Arvay’s unique. His office is almost entirely one large room, save for the x-ray area. This may prove off-putting for some individuals, and certainly gave me pause. That said, I’ve never felt uncomfortable and found myself acclimating quickly. Dr. Arvay seems to know his stuff. Informational videos playing in the«waiting» area(where patients warm up their spines before adjustment) attest to the doctor’s philosophy of complete wellness.(At times, I’m not certain whether it is good information or propaganda.). Prior chiropractors have focused solely on the spine, and often on nothing more than adjustment. Dr. Arvay, however, stresses the need to feed the body proper fuel as well as addressing spinal problems that together can cause many illnesses that appear unrelated to the layman. As stated earlier, it is still early in my course of treatment, but thus far I am satisfied with my progress. The atypical nature of the office layout and holistic philosophy of treatment may take some time to get used to.
