My favorite Thai in the area. Always quick and attentive service. Deserves a higher rating. If I lived closer, I would surely be picking their curry dishes, and Pad Thai up on my way home weekly.

I don’t usually spend my precious time on writing a non professional restaurant review but the rating is not doing this little fantastic Thai place any justice! I’ve been searching myself a new spot for Thai cuisine after I left the valley a year ago. I failed, of course. Because Siam Square is the best by far. Until today I still miss their green curry pork: how tender the meat was, how juicy the vegetables were. And every single creation from the dessert menu: I used to order two or three at a time, for myself yes. I do find it difficult to understand why there is not so much love about this decent restaurant. And I strongly encourage new people not to be fooled by the rating. The spirit of Thai is just much more profound than eating a bowl of Pad Thai!

I’m officially done with Siam Square. The quality has been deteriorating for several years, they now over-spice and over-price the food, and tonight they made a major mistake in our order yet again. I ordered TOFU, no meat, and when I arrived home I had a lovely CHICKEN dish! This isn’t the first time it’s happened so I’ve learned to check the order, but tonight it was late, I was tired, and just trusted them since he had repeated the order back to me twice. When I called to tell him what had happened, he told me I had to bring the food back! Uh, sorry, I live 30 minutes away and it’s nearly 10PM, cannot do that. «So sorry, nothing we can do about that.» He did void the chicken out off the credit card, after«checking with the manager», but I have no dinner. Goodbye Siam Square. I’ll cook my own Thai food from now on.

The food was mediocre. Service was very pleasingly quick, the food came right out and we’re very responsive. I just wasn’t impressed with the food.

Best thai place I have been to in the NoHo/Amherst area. Always have a great meal and a great dining experience. Very large selection of appetizers as well as all the classic thai entrees done right.

Very good. Got. Seafood something. Spicy sauce and not too thick or overwhelming or sweet. Very good

For a fine dining restaurant and considering the amount of food they give, the price is amazing. Love thai iced tea and the pad thai here is great!

The wait staff is very attentive. The food selection was great, came out fast and hot and best of all… it tasted wonderful! Yellow curry has a ton of selected meat. Pad Thai has chicken, tofu and shrimp with lots of crushed peanuts. Hot tea kept coming. It was awesome.

Very good Thai food! I had the Pad Thai which had plenty of large prices of tofu and chicken with a few shrimp thrown in. Nice smoked flavor. My wife had yellow chicken curry which had large pieces of peppers and onions and plenty of chicken and sauce. The Thai tea was also good. The service was exceptional. Never had to ask for a refill or flag the waitress down. She even offered a substitution for an app which was delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic. Nice small quaint restaurant with lots of seating, but it didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. Also the artwork and theme of the restaurant was very tastefully done.

I love this place. I think they are one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. I get the vegetable pad thai or red curry and both are delightful. The staff are always friendly and the service is prompt. If you are looking for ambiance, this isn’t the best. But it certainly isn’t horrible, either. It’s always a warm cozy place to go in the winter.

Decent thai place. The Drunken Noodle with ground chicken is the best thing here.

Nice Thai place. I ordered a fried rice dish that turned out to be pretty good when I added salt to it. My friends ordered noodle dishes that were also pretty good! The service was really nice and the woman was happy to bring us what we needed quickly, when we asked for dishes without some ingredients(I was with vegetarians). The locale is really sweet and nicely decorated. Maybe not the best food, but nothing wrong with it either. It’s good. All in all a pretty nice place.

There are two Thai places in Northampton and I like both. I prefer the Pad Thai at Siam Square and I enjoy their Massaman and Green Curry as well. I’ve gone here many, many times and never had a single complaint about the food or the service. This won’t be the best Thai of your life, but it’s reliably good… and at this moment, in this town… that’s about all one can hope for.

Pad Thai not bad. Mango Sticky Rice and Seafood is awesome. Well-rounded service. The tea taste too bitter though – tastes like herb formula medicine. Ambience very classy.

Good but unspectacular thai food. Tried the chicken madness which was nicely spicy and flavorful with ground chicken, green beans and carrots over white rice. Hub tried pad thai which was standard thai fair that he enjoyed… even eating the fried tofu chunks. On the side, we had baby dumplings which were filled with ground chicken and spices with a sweet soy sauce. To drink, we had thai iced coffee which is sweetened and refreshing. Service was friendly and attentive. But my favorite thai has been Thai Garden & still is.

I’ve been here twice and it’s perfectly acceptable Thai food. All the standards are present, but nothing special(that I know of). I am a creature of habit and whenever I go to a Thai restaurant, I oscillate between tofu pad Thai and Massaman curry. The most recent time I went to Siam Square I got the latter. Again, it was a good meal, with plenty of fried tofu chunks, carrots, onions, potatoes, and some whole peanuts sprinkled in. But oh my lord, it was $ 12.95 for a fairly small bowl of curry(I ate it all in one sitting, no leftovers to take home) and brown rice was $ 2 extra! I’m not even sure plain rice came with the meal. With tip it came to almost $ 19 for one meal(and I only got complimentary water for a beverage, forgoing a scrumptious Thai iced tea for $ 2.95 extra). Even for Northampton that seems extraordinarily high for dinner prices. If I want Thai food in Hamp I’ll stick to Thai Garden.

I’ve been coming here for years. It all started with drunken noodles and somehow, that has stayed my go to dish. I have ventured out from time to time and ordered other items. I had the spicy basil sauce with chicken once and it was SOGOOD. Last night, I tried my boyfriend bahn mee geaw which was shrimp wontons with bok choy in a broth. He loved it and will probably order it again. I thought it was very good. Reminiscent of phở. We also had their chicken spring rolls which were very good. I love ordering drunken noodles here because they always amp up the spice when I ask them to. I have gone up to a 6 level of spice when ordering and never regretted it. Yes it’s spicy but oh man that spice makes it all so much better. I tend to stay in the realm of 4 level spice just so my dining companions have a chance at trying some. I have ordered the same dish in other places but they just don’t compare. If you want great service with delicious thai food, come here and you won’t be disappointed!

Siam Square went down a star because the past two times I came here, the waitress was a little rude and tried to rush my table to order. The place was empty, her job was to «wait» on us. If we were still trying to decide what to order, it’s inappropriate to be rude to us. Also, she rolled her eyes at us which is something I don’t approve of. It went from four stars to three stars because of the service, but the quality of the food and the price is still great.

I love Siam square!!! My favorite Thai place, hands down(and I’ve been to at least 10 different ones locally) I live in Worcester, but have family out near Noho. Every time I go out to visit I swing by Siam Square. After reading the other reviews, I guess I’m not elitist enough to understand Thai food. I don’t know what west coast Thai food is nor do I know what Thai food in Thailand tastes like — no idea. But as someone who loves American, East Coast Thai food — this place is the best.(you know, us ridiculous working class sort of folk) The pad thai is on the sweeter side(though that’s how I like it). Their tofu is incredible. I don’t know how they cook it(fried somehow) but I could eat this stuff plain, and I’m not a huge tofu fan. The golden cups are to die for and we always get their Siam rolls(thai rolls) — so delicious! Everything else we’ve tried has been really good too — thai iced tea is great, satay, drunken noodle, fried rice, etc. Never a complaint with the food and never a complaint with the service! They are fast and friendly and super sweet. The atmosphere is really clean and nice and quiet and laid back. They also do takeout and package everything(like the golden cups) really carefully to make sure things don’t get mushy. Oh, and their prices are right on target. I’ve been here dozens of times and don’t understand some of the reviews on here. Again, if you want food direct from Thailand — or whatever California elitists consider Thai food — perhaps this isn’t the place? But for anyone who has grown up eating Thai food in the northeast, you HAVETOTRYTHISPLACE! It’s my hands down favorite!!!
