Literally just walked out of this place after waiting ten minutes sitting at a table. Multiple servers walked by and ignored us, the hostess was really sweet though! I highly doubt I’ll be back again.

I don’t know if it’s fair to review off one visit here, since they do have such a diverse menu. I had ordered just a plain burger and fries. My medium burger came out pretty darn rare, and the fries although tasty were kind of mushy. I think with a little more attention to detail in the kitchen, that meal could’ve been a lot better. The décor here is really cool– it’s a great looking restaurant and the bar is particularly nice to sit at. I would 100% come back for drinks and conversation, but maybe eat elsewhere first.

This place is definitely a good spot for a beer! The bartender was super friendly and there are plenty of bar seats. The food was nothing spectacular– typical bar food. I’d totally come back here for a beer!

Considering that FW has been around for 40+ years, you’d think that their food would be better. This is my 5th attempt at having a good meal at FW’s. After 5 flops, I am going to have just get over it and eat somewhere else. Fitzwilly’s you are 0 for 5, not good.

Love Fitzwilly’s have been going here since we were kids with my Dad. The new menu is great, I had the sesame chicken salad & it was really good. Service has always been great too. I love all the old décor as well.

Rude staff, over priced mediocre food, tourist over flow restaunt. Not the Northampton dining experience you are looking for. Avoid if possible.

A great place. Very diverse menu sure to make everyone happy. Good drinks, very nice and personable staff. Unique, large dining area. This is a staple every time I’m out in Noho.

Fitzwilly’s is either hit or miss. During my most recent trip, got a great appetizer and lunch: the turkey pot pie was SO good! However, during another visit here, got the salad with cranberry sauce and turkey. Multiple pieces of turkey had huge chunks of dribbly fat and grizzle… yuck. How can you miss that? Overall, I like Fitzwilly’s but I think they need to improve kitchen staff.

Basic pub food. Don’t expect anything too special. Atmosphere can be nice but bar/night scene is odd.

I’ve eaten here about 5 times. I’ve had ok food. good food and bad food. The last time there was a hair in my Alfredo shrimp and lobster. I was disgusted! I didn’t report it and should have considering the price of the meal but I don’t always trust how a restaurant will respond. I was also with my 10 yr old son and he was almost done eating. There’s no excuse for this though… wear hair nets. waitresses should have their hair pulled back.

It’s been a while since I’ve updated my review for Fitzwillys. I’m very pleased! They brought back the much loved Coconut Shrimp! The stew was very good and the service, excellent! I’m very pleasantly surprised!

Ok so after going here 3 times, I’ve decided on four stars. The first time I went here the service was mediocre and the food took a long time, but it was really busy so I wasn’t too bothered by it. The food was decent, maybe a little over-priced for what it was, but it’s also Northampton. I’m not sure our water was ever filled without having to ask for it, but we had a nice time and it wasn’t too bad… but nothing special, either. The thing that threw me is that when I got to the last part of my sandwich I discovered the order ticket underneath sitting in a puddle of sandwich juice. It looked grosser than it actually was, we told the server and were offered free dessert. No hard feelings, but I was far from raving about the place. The next time I went there, it was months later. I had been biking all day and was extremely hungry. I sat at the front bar, got a huge beer and a Reuben(best I’ve had in town by far). It wasn’t very expensive and no objects were found in my food other than my food. I returned there a couple Fridays ago and asked to be sat at the back bar because it was EXTREMELYBUSY. We found seats next to each other, were promptly greeted by the bar tender and were told about their happy hour appetizer special(½ off!!!). The back bar is such an amazing spot to sit, it’s cozy and warm and quieter than the rest of the restaurant. The service we received this time was AMAZING, and the appetizers were delicious and affordable. Tl;dr: the first time was disappointing, but this place managed to win me back and now I want to go back often. Try sitting at the back bar, it’s great!

I read several reviews and decided to stop for dinner after hiking Mount Greylock. I am disappointed in every aspect. The food is mediocre, my waitress has attitude, and the younger waitstaff stands around gabbing with each other instead of providing service to their customers. It’s not busy at all right now. I get the sense that if I was a man dining alone instead of a middle aged woman, I would have been treated differently. When I waited tables and tended bar 45 years ago, I treated all my customers like the most important people in the world. As a result, I was able to pay for college and graduate school. I have dined alone and with others in restaurants all over the world. Service here ranks in the bottom 20%, which is why I gave it a one star.

Fantastic food, friendly service, phenomenal atmosphere. With a varied menu and a long libations list, all of which delivered, I really can’t say a negative thing about FitzWilly’s Pub experience. Don’t let the tiny entranceway fool you. We have passed over FitzWilly’s many times before. But the fact is, inside is a terrific, exposed brick atmosphere with elements of its former self in brick archways and cozy alcoves. From the clam chowder and onion strings to the lobster sliders and the Jack Daniels tips, the food and drinks were all excellent. With an attentive, friendly waitstaff and a quirky, two-floor setting, this place is All-American comfort food in a comfortable environment. Would definitely return and bring those out of town guests looking for good eats in a unique and casual environment.

My husband and I stopped at Fitzwilly’s at the tail end of our Labor Day weekend. The place wasn’t overly packed, the bar area was definitely hopping, but the restaurant is actually pretty sizable so the area we were shown to(the window seats around the corner from the main bar(by the second bar) was half full. The menu is all over the place… BBQ, Mexican, American, Italian… pick your poison. I went with a shaved steak burrito and my husband went with the«I Love BBQ» Combo Platter(which included ¼ rack of St. Louis ribs, ¼ smoked chicken and beef brisket with fries). My burrito wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t good. The shaved steak was like Steak’Ums to me. It was just too dry. The rice ratio was overwhelming to everything else in the burrito and it just didn’t satisfy. I ate about half of it and gave up. In terms of the BBQ platter, my husband said the ribs weren’t too bad, but they were slathered with so much sauce that it made them near impossible to eat without dumping it on yourself. The chicken was a disappointment. Though it wasn’t overcooked, the skin was soggy and gelatinous. Not an appetizing bite at all. Just take the skin off if you aren’t going to make sure it’s crispy. The brisket was dry. I tried a bite of the corn bread that came with and spit it out. The texture was off and it tasted like playdough. The server was nice and efficient. She didn’t hover and she came around when we needed her. The space was pretty dark(where we were at least) and the many decorations, while interesting to look at, needed a good dusting. To sum things up, while I’m sure that the plentiful menu does offer some gems, we did not unearth those on this visit and as such, I don’t think we’d plan on coming back.

Spent a week at Northampton. We had casual dinner here on four of the six nights at Fttzys. Bar food yes — however one step above Chillis type bar food. Excellent service beers are cold, local and poured quickly. Pro tip– parking is available behind the bar for about 75 cents per hour. :)

I walked in after 15 years of being away from MA and I was expecting great laid-back atmosphere, the Sox game on, wonderful cocktails and food and Fitzwilly’s delivered! You gotta go for the entire experience! Can you find the strawberry with wings?

Fitz-Willy’s, a Noho classic Can’t believe it’s been open as long as it has. It’s been a while since we’ve been here, but it does not disappoint. Nice selection with updated offerings Loved the alfredo(wicked alfredo I think it was called). Brought home the leftovers and was still good the next day. Nice take on «crazy alfredo» you see around these parts. Gorgonzola cheese appetizer was sinful. Great beer selection and overall energy. All enjoyed theirs meals and service.
